Average-consensus tracking problem of first-order multi-agent systems is investigated in this paper, and a consensus algorithm under sampled data is proposed for two cases, one of which is that all the agents access constant reference inputs and the other is that some agents have the constant reference inputs but the left has no reference inputs. Based on matrix theory and frequency-domain analysis, consensus conditions are obtained for the agents under two cases converging to the average consensus asymptotically with the strongly connected and balanced topology and the symmetric and connected topology. Finally, numerical simulation examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed sampled-data control strategy.

chemical process optimization problems are often modeled as dynamic optimization problems (DOPs). Due to the nonlinear, multimodal and multi-dimensional nature of DOPs, efficient solution of DOPs is a very challenging task. In this paper, a new intelligent search algorithm called symbiotic organisms search (SOS) is proposed for tackling the chemical DOPs. SOS mainly mimics three symbiotic relationships in ecosystem, namely mutualism, commensalism and parasitism, to perform global search. In addition, compared with previous intelligent search algorithms, SOS has the advantages of no tuning parameters, easy to implement and high performance. Combined with control vector parameterization, the proposed SOS is applied to solve five chemical DOPs with different levels of complexity. Simulation results show that SOS can achieve solutions with accuracy comparable to those methods in the literature, and thus can be regarded as an effective tool for the chemical DOPs.

To enhance the search accuracy and global convergence rate of Cuckoo Search (CS) algorithm, a Hybrid Adaptive Cuckoo algorithm based on Local search strategy (LHACS) was proposed. In this algorithm, a local population was randomly generated around each current solution, the local optimal solution was obtained by sine cosine operator and the current solution was replaced by local optimal solution, which had improved the local search accuracy actually. The adaptive discovery probability and factor of search step were substituted for the fixed ones in CS to enhance the global convergence speed of the algorithm. The experiment of 25 classical high-dimensional benchmark functions showed that the LHACS was superior to CS in convergence rate and search accuracy, and it was applied to engineering optimization design and 0-1 knapsack problems, which verified the validity of the algorithm. © 2019, Editorial Department of CIMS. Specific index-related process monitoring covers a wide range of requirements from industrial production. At present, it is still a challenge to divide into the specific index-related information and the specific index-unrelated information more accurately. In this paper, a two-step information extraction method is presented to solve this problem. In the first step, the overall process variables are separated into a strongly related variable set and a weakly related variable set. In the second step, the two sets are further divided into a specific index-related subset and a specific index-unrelated subset, respectively. Two specific index-related subsets form a new subspace related to the specific index. Two specific index-unrelated subsets are combined into a specific index-unrelated subspace. Two T2 statistics are built in the specific index-related subspace and the specific index-unrelated subspace, respectively. Finally, the proposed method is applied for Tennessee Eastman (TE). The results indicate the effectiveness of the proposed method. © 2018 IEEE.

One of the popular feature extraction algorithms for motor imagery (MI)-based brain-computer interface (BCI) is common spatial pattern (CSP). However, CSP is also very susceptive to the selection of the filter bands, the time windows, and the channels. In this paper, we proposed a novel regularized CSP (RCSP) method to optimize feature extraction in MI-BCI. Then, a robust classifier based on AdaBoost algorithm was presented to perform the classification of MI tasks. Finally, the framework was verified on two public BCI datasets (dataset 1 from the BCI Competition IV and dataset IVa from BCI Competition III). The results suggest the proposed approach achieved superior performance compared with classical CSP and other competing methods. Overall, this method not only improved classification performance, but also reduced the data requirements of other subjects.

Lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) have emerged as a clinically validated platform for cancer immunotherapy;however, challenges remain in optimizing RNA delivery and promoting synergistic immune activation. To address these issues, we developed a modified LNP system that incorporates α-galactosylceramide (α-GalCer), a CD1d-binding glycolipid known to activate invariant natural killer T (iNKT) cells. Through structural optimization, we created the α-GalCer-LNP (G-LNP), which offers three primary advantages over conventional four-component LNPs: (1) enhanced mRNA transfection efficiency due to improved endosomal/lysosomal escape, (2) increased capacity for in vivo DC transfection, leading to robust activation of tumor-specific CD8+ T cells via MHC-I and iNKT cells via the CD1d pathway, and (3) reprogramming of the tumor microenvironment, resulting in a 1.5-fold increase in iNKT cell infiltration and sustained elevation of IFN-γ (>24 h) in lymph nodes. In a TC-1 cervical carcinoma model, G-LNP induced complete tumor regression in 100 % of treated mice (compared to 42.85 % for standard LNP) and provided long-term protection against tumor rechallenge (lasting >100 days). Mechanistic studies showed that G-LNP preferentially targets CD11c+ DC in the lymph nodes, facilitating coordinated antigen presentation and innate immune activation. This five-component engineering strategy establishes a versatile platform to enhance the functionality of LNPs for the development of next-generation cancer vaccines. © 2025

This paper focuses on multi-agent systems with uncertain disturbances, in which only the bounding functions on the disturbances and the bounds on the initial state of each agent are known. By designing a neighborhood interval observer for this kind of multi-agent system, the estimation of the sum of the relative state of each agent associated with itself and its neighbors is frstly realized. Then, on the basis of these estimated information, local control algorithm is designed to drive the system to achieve bounded consensus.

Robust Semi-Global Leaderless Consensus and Containment control of Identical Linear Systems with Imperfect Actuators

This paper investigates both the robust semi-global leaderless consensus problem and the robust semi-global containment control problem for a group of identical linear systems with imperfect actuators. The imperfect actuators are characterized by nonlinearities such as saturation and dead zone and there input output relationships are not precisely known. The dynamics of follower agents are also affected by the input additive disturbances. Low-and-high gain feedback consensus protocols are constructed to solve these problems. More specifically, it is shown that robust semi-global leaderless consensus can be achieved over a connected undirected graph and robust semi-global containment control can be achieved when each follower agent has access to the information of at least one leader agent. Numerical simulation illustrates the theoretical results.

Anthropogenic CO 2 emissions worsen the greenhouse effect, causing extreme climates. Utilizing CO 2 under ambient conditions to produce high-value chemicals is vital. In this study, a novel catalyst comprising nanoscale zero-valent nickel supported on nitrogen-deficient (Nd) carbon nitride co-doped with zinc sulfide and copper sulfide (nZVN/ZnS-CuS/Nd-CN) was synthesized for the first time. The catalyst exhibited efficient CO 2 hydrogenation activity at room temperature and atmospheric pressure, and the selective generation of formate (HCOO – ) was successfully achieved by employing potassium borohydride (KBH 4 ) as the hydrogen donor. The nZVN/ZnS-CuS/Nd-CN catalyst demonstrated peak performance when the doping amounts of ZnS and CuS were optimized to 0.2 mmol each, and the nickel loading was optimized to 10 wt%. The use of nZVN/ZnS-CuS/Nd-CN led to a 41 % reduction in the hydrogen production volume and a 21 % decrease in the rate of hydrogen generation (HGR) during hydrolysis of KBH 4 , while simultaneously increasing HCOO – production by 51 %. The CO 2 hydrogenation mechanism over nZVN/ZnS-CuS/Nd-CN was proposed via characterizations, product analysis, and DFT. NH 2 groups and Nd activate CO 2 via chemisorption, while metal sulfides and metallic nickel boost electron transfer, accelerating CO 2 hydrogenation by KBH 4 -derived BH 4−n (OH) n − species.

Performance monitoring of non-gaussian chemical processes with modes-switching using globality-locality preserving projection

In this paper, we propose a novel performance monitoring and fault detection method, which is based on modified structure analysis and globality and locality preserving （MSAGL） projection, for non-Gaussian processes with multiple operation conditions. By using locality preserving projection to analyze the embedding geometrical manifold and extracting the non-Gaussian features by independent component analysis, MSAGL preserves both the global and local structures of the data simultaneously. Furthermore, the tradeoff parameter of MSAGL is tuned adaptively in order to find the projection direction optimal for revealing the hidden structural information. The validity and effectiveness of this approach are illustrated by applying the proposed technique to the Tennessee Eastman process simulation under multiple operation conditions. The results demonstrate the advantages of the proposed method over conventional eigendecomposition-based monitoring methotis.
