In this paper, a model-free control(MFC) method is used to design an artificial feedback to compensate the lack of natural feedback and achieve the reaching task for a voluntary single joint. Considering the MFC only depends on the I/O data of system, and does not need the system model, it can avoid the complex analysis on the brain model, and reduce the difficulty of controller design. Moreover, through choosing different pseudo-partial-derivative values, the influence of the pseudo-partialderivative value is analyzed and a series of control results are given;further, the computing efficiency is improved drastically through a comparison in the simulation.

In view of the disadvantages of slow convergence speed and low convergence precision in bacterial foraging optimization（BFO） algorithm, an improved bacterial foraging optimization（IBFO） algorithm is presented in this *** application of a nonlinear and adaptive step size balances the global searching capability and the local searching ability. To better reflect the ability of bacteria to foraging, the reproduction operation is completed by using the fitness value of the current bacterial location, and the variation operation is introduced to increase the diversity of the population.A piecewise elimination-dispersal probability is adopted to improve the precision and accuracy. Several classical test functions verify the significance of the IBFO algorithm. After that, the IBFO algorithm is applied to optimize PID parameters of a typical servo system. Simulation results show that, comparing with other techniques, the proposed IBFO algorithm can more effectively improve the convergence property and stability of the servo system.

Biological visual system has many intrinsic functional superiorities, such as small size, high sensitivity and no heat-sink cooling, which are hard to be completely replicated by electromechanical systems. The bio-syncretic design of sensing device with living materials may provide some functional superiorities to those conventional sensing devices, and will have great potential benefits in both biomedical and engineering applications. In this study, we developed a novel bio-syncretic light-gated field-effect transistor (FET), in which optogenetically engineered cells were used as the gate substitute for conventional gate electrode, and the exposure of the cells to light irradiation results in the variation of the transistor's channel current. The bio-syncretic transistor was fabricated by virtue of graphene film and optogenetically engineered cells, and its basic photo-responsive performance was then tested and characterized. This reference-less bio-syncretic transistor has a wide range of potential applications in photodetection and biosensing with good biocompatibility and stability.

Adsorption of Reactive Brilliant Red X-3B from Aqueous Solution by Polypyrrole/Calcium Rectorite Composites: Adsorption Behavior and Mechanism

In this study, polypyrrole/calcium rectorite clay composites (PPy/REC composites) were prepared by in-situ polymerization of pyrrole monomer to adsorb reactive brilliant red X-3B from aqueous solution. The results of XRD showed that the clay flakes exfoliated in the prepared composites. The SEM results showed that PPy had good dispersibility on clay sheets. The adsorption mainly depended on the initial pH value of the solution, and the optimal adsorption of reactive brilliant red X-3B was achieved when the pH value was 2.0. The removal rate of PPy/REC composite was much higher than that of PPy homopolymer. The adsorption kinetic data of reactive brilliant red X-3B at three initial concentrations (100, 150 and 200 mg/L) were best fitted by the pseudo-second-order model, indicating that the concentration gradient of the adsorbent was the driving force of the adsorption process. The adsorption isotherm accorded with the Langmuir isotherm model, and the maximum adsorption capacity was 232.56 mg/g at 298 K. The PPy/REC composites could be regenerated and reused for 5 continuous adsorption-desorption cycles without losing the removal efficiency of the original reactive brilliant red X-3B. XPS, zeta potential and FT-IR results showed that the removal mechanism of reactive brilliant red X-3B was related to electrostatic interaction and ion exchange.

In this paper, we investigate the consensus for heterogeneous multi-agent systems. The systems are composed of second-order linear and nonlinear agents with different nonlinear terms, which makes systems more general. A valid control law for each agent is given based on the communication with their neighbors. By employing La Salle's invariance principle and Lyapunov stability theory, sufficient condition is established to achieve the consensus under the undirected connected topologies. Finally, we give a simulation example to illustrate the validity of the theoretical method.

In this paper,a frontal face synthesizing strategy based on Poisson image fusion and piecewise affine warp(PAW) is proposed to solve the problem of large-scale computation cost or transformation distortion in general synthesizing *** multiple non-frontal input images are warped to the frontal face template with *** corresponding weight matrixes are calculated according to the magnitude of deformation which can be used to obtain the foreground mask for Poisson *** fusion strategy is designed to synthesize one frontal image from multiple non-frontal *** each step,the PAW image is used as foreground image,the deformation mask is used as foreground mask,and the fusion image of the previous step is used as *** show that the synthesized frontal image can perfectly preserve personal facial details and outperforms others in both subjective and objective evaluations,and the synthesizing strategy can greatly improve the accuracy of face recognition.

The grey wolf optimization (GWO) algorithm, one of the recently proposed bio-inspired algorithms, simulates the leadership hierarchy and hunting mechanism of grey wolves in nature. The GWO has a good performance in some optimization tasks, but its search capacity decreases with the increasing search scope and dimension. This paper proposes an improved GWO (IGWO) algorithm, in which Levy flight strategy and a sine cosine operator with adaptive step are incorporated to significantly improve the performance of the algorithm. The Levy flight strategy is used to strengthen the efficiency of global search. The adaptive sine cosine operator is introduced to improve the local search ability. Experimental results based on twenty unconstrained benchmark problems show the superiority of the proposed IGWO. Furthermore, the IGWO is utilized in PID controller design. The comparison results show that the IGWO algorithm is better than, or at least comparable to, other well-established swarm intelligence algorithms.

The evaluation of input factors of complex system is a hot and difficult point in the sensitivity analysis. In this paper, the Garson algorithm based on artificial intelligence is studied and the original Garson algorithm accuracy is not high. Therefore, an improved Garson algorithm is proposed and the input factors are introduced into the Garson algorithm. At the same time, the original local sensitivity analysis algorithm is improved as the global sensitivity analysis algorithm and it increases the accuracy and stability of the Garson algorithm. Through the typical benchmark test function simulation, the experimental results show that the improved Garson algorithm has higher accuracy and stability in the evaluation of sensitivity coefficient. Finally, the improved Garson algorithm is applied to evaluate the input factors of the plate-fin heat exchangers. It shows that the IGarson algorithm is more feasibility and effectiveness.

In this paper,the control problem of distributed parameter systems is investigated by using wireless sensor and actuator networks with the observer-based ***,a centralized observer which makes use of the measurement information provided by the fixed sensors is designed to estimate the distributed parameter *** mobile agents,each of which is affixed with a controller and an actuator,can provide the observer-based control for the target *** using Lyapunov stability arguments,the stability for the estimation error system and distributed parameter control system is proved,meanwhile a guidance scheme for each mobile actuator is provided to improve the control performance.A numerical example is finally used to demonstrate the effectiveness and the advantages of the proposed approaches.
