The ethylene cracking furnace system convert a variety of hydrocarbon feeds into products such as ethylene and propylene in parallel. During the cracking process, the coke produced by the cracking will degrade the performance of the cracking furnace, so the furnace should be cleaned periodically. Scheduling of the cracking furnace system involves various raw materials, multiple furnaces, and multiple constraints, so it is a difficult mathematic programming problem. Previous studies have simplified the optimization model to obtain a corresponding mixed integer nonlinear programming(MINLP) model. In order to make the scheduling more suitable for the actual process, this paper develops the transfer-line exchanger(TLE) model, fuel consumption model, and super-high pressure steam(SS) model by using the actual plant data. A case study is put forward to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

An automatic sleep level estimation method was developed for monitoring and regulation of day time nap sleep. The recorded nap data is separated into continuous 5-second segments. Features are extracted from EEGs, EOGs and EMG. A parameter of sleep level is defined which is estimated based on the conditional probability of sleep stages. An exponential smoothing method is applied for the estimated sleep level. There were totally 12 healthy subjects, with an averaged age of 22 yeas old, participated into the experimental work. Comparing with sleep stage determination, the presented sleep level estimation method showed better performance for nap sleep interpretation. Real time monitoring and regulation of nap is realizable based on the developed technique.

Based on the comparison theorem and the theory of impulsive functional differential equations, some novel criteria are obtained, from which the proportion of pinned nodes is able to be determined. In this paper, we investigate the stability analysis of stochastic opinion dynamics in which the agents are interfered by multiplicative noise. We propose a stochastic Altafini model of opinion evolution in signed social networks with multiplicative noise and give the analysis of almost sure exponential stability(ASES). Compared with the deterministic opinion dynamic and stochastic opinion dynamics in additive noise environments, our results concern the effects of the agents' free will, i.e.,multiplicative noise, in signed social networks. We establish a sufficient condition with stochastic multiplicative noise which can guarantee the stochastic system is almost sure exponential stability(ASES) when the parameters of the strength of noise is limited by the conditions. Numerical simulations are given to illustrate the above theoretical results.

A brain-computer interface (BCI) based on the combination of oddball paradigm and face perception has been introduced. Such BCI mainly exploits three event-related potential (ERP) components, namely vertex positive potential (VPP), N170 and P300 instead of only P300. With different temporal and spatial distributions of the three ERP components, a regularized common spatial pattern (CSP) with Fisher's criterion (FC), named FCCSP, is proposed to extract the most discriminative features for single trial classification of ERP components. With linear discriminant analysis (LDA) classifier, the proposed FCCSP spatial filtering method yields an average classification accuracy of 95.4% on seven healthy subjects for single-trial ERP components, which outperforms no spatial filtering, the CSP and the FC.
