An image encryption algorithm based on dual dna sequences for image hiding

Image encryption is one of the most important methods of image information hiding. A new image encryption method based on dual DNA sequences for image hiding is presented in this paper. This method is implemented by using the natural DNA sequence and the chaotic initial value as keys and the chaotic map as main tool to fully exert the special advantages. Firstly, the DNA sequence is used to express the original image has been confused and key DNA sequence are calculated in light of the given definition. Then, the new DNA sequence is confused based on the chaotic sequence is generated by Logistic Mapping. The experimental results and analysis demonstrates that the image encryption algorithm is feasible and highly secure. Moreover, the size of the encrypted image is the same as the original image so that it can be applied for image hiding and be transmitted via the Internet. ICIC International © 2010 ISSN 1881-803X.

Speech emotion recognition using PCA-based spectral features and HMM

In recent years, speech emotion recognition has attracted more and more attention. In this paper, using PCA-based spectral features of the speech signal and HMM, we present a new framework for the text independent recognition of emotions from voice. Contrary to the traditional feature extraction method based on principal components analysis(PCA), the proposed PCA-based spectral features are computed on each set of data belonging to different emotion, rather than on the whole training set, moreover, each emotion subspace is constructed with the eigenvectors corresponding to the smaller eigenvalues rather than the bigger eigenvalues. Then, the proposed features are used to train HMM for realizing the speech emotion recognition. For finding the effectiveness of these features in recognition of different emotions in different languages, two different data-sets are used to evaluate the proposed method: the Danish emotional speech database and the Chinese emotional speech database. For the Danish database, it was shown that higher classification rate can be achieved on the new feature vectors extracted by proposed method. The proposed features, traditional PCA-based spectral features and original spectral features yielded close classification performance for the Chinese database. In order to study whether haemoglobin (Hb) can replace peroxidase and has good catalytic properties. The key to exploring the characteristics of Hb peroxidase is to establish a suitable kinetic model, which is studied in this paper. First, according to the Hb catalytic reaction, a nonlinear system is established and improved. It is proved that the established system is in line with the practical significance. The stability of the original system is judged by analysing the stability of the simplified system. Then, considering the effect of time delay on Hb catalytic reaction, a nonlinear time-delay catalytic reaction system is obtained. For convenient application, the system is linearized using Taylor's formula, and the dynamic characteristics of Hopf bifurcation are analysed. The response diagrams of three system are plotted by setting perturbation parameters, and their variations are observed to analyse the differences among them. The results show that the nonlinear time-delay system can better describe the characteristics of the catalytic reaction. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In recent years, DNA has been regarded as a reliable raw material for building biological computers and biochips due to its nanoscale size, ultralow energy consumption, and high-performance computing potential. As the basis of building a biological computer, the research on the construction of nanoscale logic arithmetic and nanoscale biochemical logic circuits based on DNA molecules as carriers has attracted increasing attention. Although researchers use DNA strand replacement systems to achieve it this requires adjustment and careful design of the toehold, making sequence selection more difficult. To reduce dependence on the toehold, we propose a 3-way DNAzyme complex composed of three E6 DNAzymes assembled using the biological characteristics of E6 DNAzyme. This complex enriched the recognition vector of E6 DNAzyme, which can be used for multiple substrates, thus improving the reusability and efficiency of DNA molecules. At the same time, based on the 3-way DNAzyme complex and without the involvement of the toehold, we designed logic gates such as the OR gate, the AND gate, and the INHIBIT gate, and realized the construction of a new half subtractor and nanoscale biochemical logic circuit. These explorations and attempts extended the practicality of the 3-way DNAzyme complex. We believe that these logic elements will have a wide range of applications in DNA nanoscale programming, biological computing, and nanoscale medicine.

We present a novel image encryption algorithm based on DNA subsequence operation. Different from the traditional DNA encryption methods, our algorithm does not use complex biological operation but just uses the idea of DNA subsequence operations (such as elongation operation, truncation operation, deletion operation, etc.) combining with the logistic chaotic map to scramble the location and the value of pixel points from the image. The experimental results and security analysis show that the proposed algorithm is easy to be implemented, can get good encryption effect, has a wide secret key's space, strong sensitivity to secret key, and has the abilities of resisting exhaustive attack and statistic attack. © 2012 Qiang Zhang et al.

This paper addresses the problem of leader-following consensus in heterogeneous multi-agent systems (HMAS) with input saturation and communication delay. Given the practical differences between leader and follower dimensions, we design virtual leaders to address this problem by allowing actual leaders and followers to communicate with virtual leaders separately, thus enabling indirect communication between actual leaders and followers. Additionally, the control protocol proposed in this paper takes into account the effects of input saturation and time delay that exist in real communication. At last, a simulation example is presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the designed control protocol. © 2024 IEEE.

In recent years, more and more patent lawsuits have been filed by Chinese enterprises, represented by the "Section 337 investigations" of the United States. In order to help Chinese enterprises cope with the challenges of patent litigation, a matrix factorization based recommendation system are used to predict the legal risk of 337 investigation. However, the results predicted by the model are prone to over-fitting. In order to solve this problem, this paper proposes a new recommendation framework, namely elastic time predictor. The model is a hybrid model combining matrix factorization and truncation function. We encode the information of the prosecution case of major companies and decompose it into two sub-matrices, and then combine the decomposed matrix with the segmentation of the truncation function to maintain the entire recommended frame flexible. In the recommended approach, we consider the risk of litigation that a company may experience when entering a new market, for example the risk that a potential competitor will file a lawsuit against a new entrant. We use actual data to conduct experiments, and the experimental results show that the proposed method is superior to the baseline method and has significant advantages.

This paper aims at solving the problems that the manipulator will be constrained by the flexible load, and the caused constraint force is difficult to control. Based on the deflection screw theory, the dynamic model of the manipulator system is established by using the Lagrange equation. Firstly, according to the interaction of the end effector, the flexible load and the environmental constraints of the manipulator, the equation of motion of the entire system is built. Secondly, the dynamic model of the manipulator system is set up, that the system including the flexible load and the manipulator. Finally, Under the certain known environmental constraints, the dynamic modeling of a manipulator is performed. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by the simulation of a flexible beam operated by a 3-DOF manipulator. © 2018 IEEE.

Deep learning has been widely used for plant disease recognition in smart agriculture and has proven to be a powerful tool for image classification and pattern ***,it has limited interpretability for deep *** the transfer of expert knowledge,handcrafted features provide a new way for personalized diagnosis of plant ***,irrelevant and redundant features lead to high *** this study,we proposed a swarm intelligence algorithm for feature selection[salp swarm algorithm for feature selection(SSAFS)]in image-based plant disease *** is employed to determine the ideal combination of handcrafted features to maximize classification success while minimizing the number of *** verify the effectiveness of the developed SSAFS algorithm,we conducted experimental studies using SSAFS and 5 metaheuristic *** evaluation metrics were used to evaluate and analyze the performance of these methods on 4 datasets from the UCI machine learning repository and 6 plant phenomics datasets from *** results and statistical analyses validated the outstanding performance of SSAFS compared to existing state-of-the-art algorithms,confirming the superiority of SSAFS in exploring the feature space and identifying the most valuable features for diseased plant image *** computational tool will allow us to explore an optimal combination of handcrafted features to improve plant disease recognition accuracy and processing time.

Influenza is an acute respiratory illness that occurs every year. Detection of Influenza in its earliest stage would reduce the spread of the illness. Sina microblog is a popular microblogging service, provides perfect sources for flu detection due to its real-time nature and large number of users. In this paper we investigate the real-time flu detection problem and describe a Flu model with emotion factors and sematic information (em-flu model).
