The fixture is an important equipment, and is widely used in the auto-body panels to be assembled and welded. However, most fixtures, which installed on the production lines, are special to make the production cost higher and the production efficiency lower. Therefore, the reconfigurability of the fixture becomes a key factor that effects the production efficiency of automobiles. To handle the above problems, the new reconfigurable fixture robot is proposed in this paper, which can meet the handing, assembling and welding requirements of different automobile's sheet parts on the automobile production lines. First, the three-dimensional model and the kinematic equations of the proposed reconfigurable fixture robot are established. Then, the working space of the reconfigurable fixture robot is also obtained. Finally, the modal analysis of the reconfigurable fixture robot is performed to determine the cause of resonances. Reconfigurable fixture robots are capable of gripping the auto-body panels with the different radii of curvature, which can also meet the work scopes on the production lines. © 2018 IEEE.

Practical adaptive time-varying output formation tracking problems for high-order nonlinear strict-feedback multiagent systems are investigated in this paper. The time-varying output formation tracking requires the followers' output vectors to track the output vector of the leader while achieving a time-varying formation. The dynamics of the leader and the followers can have uncertain mismatched nonlinearities while the leader's control input is also unknown. To deal with the mismatched nonlinearities, the backstepping techniques are utilized to construct the protocols. Firstly, visual controllers are designed to overcome the effects of the uncertainties while guaranteeing the stability of each layer. The complicated visual controllers are estimated by the neural networks. A full adaptive protocol is constructed with adaptive gains to avoid using the global information of the interaction topology. Then, an algorithm is presented to design the protocol, whose parameters are much less. Besides, the stability of the algorithm is proved by Lyapunov theories. Finally, simulation results are presented to prove the effectiveness.

In the field of biological computing, the DNA strand displacement technique performs well in computation and programming. DNA strand displacement can be used to simulate calculations. Models based on the characteristics of DNA strand displacement are established to simulate n-dimensional matrices operations in this paper. The input and output of these computational models are analog, which means that the values of the individual elements in the n-dimensional matrices can be expressed directly by the concentration of the input and output DNA strands. Simulation experiment is performed by Visual DSD, and their results with high accuracy are consistent to the results of matrices operations in higher algebra, which prove correctness and validity of the models. The proposed models show calculation ability of DNA strand displacement and can be applied to the field of intelligent computing.

Delay in the study of biochemical reaction system can't be ignored and the complex time delay systems are integrated to get the multiple time delayed biochemical reactions. An improved acceleration algorithm based on MD-Leaping algorithm for multidelayed biochemical reaction systems is proposed in this paper. The number of the waiting records generated during the operation of the MD-Leaping algorithm slows down its rate. We use a novel method that can reduce the size of the wait queue to add the wait records. The new algorithm greatly reduces the memory requirements without losing accuracy and runs faster. At last, this paper makes a numerical simulation analysis of a multiple time delayed model, and this case further demonstrates the accuracy and efficiency of the proposed algorithm. © 2017 Association for computing Machinery.

In online learning, the contribution of old samples to a model decreases as time passes, and old samples gradually become invalid. Although the Online Sequential Extreme Learning Machine (OS-ELM) can avoid the repetitive training of old samples, invalid samples are still used, which goes against improving the accuracy of an OS-ELM model. The Online Sequence Extreme Learning Machine with Forgetting Mechanism (FOS-ELM) timely discards invalid samples, but it does not consider the differences among valid samples and then has the limitation on boosting the accuracy and generalization. To solve this issue, the Memory Degradation Based OS-ELM (MDOS-ELM) is proposed in this paper. The MDOS-ELM adjusts the weights of the old and new samples in real time by a self-adaptive memory factor, and simultaneously discards invalid samples. The self-adaptive memory factor is determined by two elements. One is the similarity between the new and old samples, and the other is the prediction errors of the current training samples on the previous model. The performance of the proposed MDOS-ELM is validated on both regression and classification datasets which include an artificial dataset and twenty-two real-world dataset. The results demonstrate that the MDOS-ELM model outperforms the OS-ELM and the FOS-ELM models on the accuracy and generalization.

Implementing Feedforward Neural Network Using DNA Strand Displacement Reactions

The ability of neural networks to process information intelligently has allowed them to be successfully applied in the fields of information processing, controls, engineering, medicine, and economics. The brain-like working mode of a neural network gives it incomparable advantages in solving complex nonlinear problems compared with other methods. In this paper, we propose a feedforward DNA neural network framework based on an enzyme-free, entropy-driven DNA reaction network that uses a modular design. A multiplication gate, an addition gate, a subtraction gate, and a threshold gate module based on the DNA strand displacement principle are cascaded into a single DNA neuron, and the neuron cascade is used to form a feedforward transfer neural network. We use this feedforward neural network to realize XOR logic operation and full adder logic operation, which proves that the molecular neural network system based on DNA strand displacement can carry out complex nonlinear operation and reflects the powerful potential of building these molecular neural networks.

We present an extragalactic HI 21-cm absorption lines catalog from a blind search at z ≤ 0.35, using drift-scan data collected in 1325.6 hours by the ongoing Commensal Radio Astronomy FasT Survey (CRAFTS) and FAST All Sky HI Survey (FASHI), which spans a sky area of 6072.0 deg2 and covers 84533 radio sources with a flux density greater than 12 mJy. 14 previously identified HI absorbers and 20 newly discovered HI absorbers were detected, comprising 15 associated systems, 10 intervening systems, and 9 systems with undetermined classifications. Through spectral stacking, the mean peak optical path, mean velocity-integrated optical path, mean FWHM and mean HI column density are measured to be 0.47 and 0.30;27.19 and 4.36 km s−1;42.61 and 9.33 km s−1;0.49 and 0.08 Ts× 1020cm−2K−1, for the associated and intervening samples, respectively. Statistical analysis also reveals that associated systems tend to be hosted by red (g − r >0.7) galaxies at lower redshifts, whereas galaxies hosting intervening HI absorption are typically found at higher redshifts and are of a bluer (g−r ≤0.7) type. A noticeable difference is observed in the positions of foregrounds, backgrounds of intervening systems, and high-redshift and low-redshift associated systems on the WISE color-color diagram. All identified foreground sources in our sample have W1-W2 magnitudes below 0.8, suggesting no Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN). In contrast, backgrounds of intervening systems tend to have W1-W2 magnitudes above 0.8, indicating AGN presence. For associated absorption, most low-redshift (z ≤0.5) systems show W1-W2 values below 0.8, while higher-redshift associated absorption (z >0.5) displays a broader range of W1-W2 values. Ship listing and motion affects individual movement pattern on board, thus individual walking behavior would be significantly different from those on level ground. To quantify the correlation between individual walking speed and gait parameters of individuals on board, we designed a ship corridor simulator, where we performed both fast and freely walking experiments considering the effect of ship heeling and trim. Results indicated that both step length and step frequency are positively linearly associated with individual walking speed with different degrees, with one exception that individuals could adopt quick and tiny steps in a much lower walking speed with even larger step frequency to keep balance when the trim-up or trim-down angle exceeds 20°. However, there is no direct relationship that could be observed between step width and individual walking speed, despite that walking with wider steps might weaken individual stability and increase fall risk. Moreover, though individual experimental subjects tend to walk along the right side due to cultural factors, the walking routes are more likely to be close to the handrail arranged on the opposite side for safety purpose when the trim-down angle exceeds 20° even though some of them did not use the handrail actually. This work would be a primary consideration in the development of evacuation models and the design of evacuation facilities on board. © 2019 IEEE.

Due to the high degree of air pollution, high smoking rate and poor production protection conditions during the industrialization process, the incidence of pulmonary diseases such as pulmonary cancer and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease has been maintained at a high level in the world and has shown an increasing trend, which has become one of the diseases with the highest mortality rate. In recent years, with the rapid development of artificial intelligence technology, the intelligent assisted diagnosis and surgery technology of pulmonary CT images has made great progress, and played an important role in the early diagnosis and precise treatment of pulmonary diseases. This paper mainly discusses the development history of image-assisted diagnosis and surgery technology for pulmonary diseases, as well as the method of segmentation and evaluation of pulmonary tissue and lesion, and the clinical application of pulmonary intelligent assisted diagnosis and surgery systems.

Development of an HCN dual laser for the interferometer on EAST

A two-color continuous wave（CW） discharge-pumped far-infrared（FIR） hydrogen cyanide（HCN） laser was developed as the source of an interferometer for measuring the line-averaged electron density in the Experimental advanced Superconducting Tokamak（EAST）. The output power of the dual laser system was about 120 m W from each laser on the 337 μm（0.89 THz）line. The polarization of each output beam was fixed using thin tungsten filaments and oscillated in the EH11 mode. Different megahertz intermediate frequencies（IF） and a slight frequency offset（～1 MHz） were generated in this system to replace the traditional rotating grating with～10 k Hz IF, and this can improve the time resolution of the interferometer significantly. The experimental result showed that different IF signals were obtained by successfully adjusting the cavity length. In particular, the beat frequency was captured at ～1.3 MHz by a Schottky mixer when the length of the resonant cavities was changed by 5 μm by an automatic adjustment system. In order to study the character of IF, a long time record of the IF signal was carried out,and the IF signal could be stabilized for a few minutes in the range of 2 MHz to 3 MHz. A realtime IF stability control system was initially designed for long pulse discharge experiments on the EAST. The ～MHz frequency response and good phase sensitivity of the dual laser HCN interferometer will allow the system to track fast density profiles and resolve fast MHD events,such as tearing/neoclassical tearing, disruptions, etc.
