We investigate the video transmission efficiency of channel code, modulation mode and layered space time code for region of interest video transmission system. Excellent channel code achieves more coding gains, suitable modulation mode adaptively overcomes different channel fading and layered space time code achieves not only coding gain but only diversity gain. Based on the above analysis, we propose an adaptive video transmission system according to channel environment and video constructed quality require. We derive an analytic bound for the error probability, and conduct experiments for H.264 interest of region video streaming. It is shown that the proposed system enhances the PSNR performance of region of interest significantly by adaptive choice of channel code, modulation mode, and layered space time code in the wireless channel.

This paper proposes an efficient and flexible interactive object segmentation approach using kernel density estimation based graph cuts. First, the user draws scribbles to roughly mark the interested object and background, respectively, and the likelihood of object versus background is evaluated for each pixel using nonparametric kernel density estimation. Then pixels are globally classified into object and background using graph cuts, which uses likelihood as data cost and gradient information to generate a spatial varying smoothness cost. If the user is not satisfied with the initially segmented object, the user is allowed to mark these undesirable regions by drawing additional scribbles. A local region for refinement is then adaptively determined, and pixel reclassification is performed to extract a more accurate object boundary. Experimental results on a variety of images demonstrate that interested objects with good visual quality can be extracted with less user interaction and a timely response.

This paper presents an efficient approach to mosaic generation in H.264 compressed domain. The proposed mosaic generation approach fully exploits several new coding characteristics of the H.264 standard, i.e., variable block size and the quarter-pel accuracy of motion vector (MV). A uniformly sampled and normalized MV field is first derived from the H.264 compressed video. Then an affine model is used to estimate the global motion from the normalized MV field, and the model parameters are iteratively refined based on outlier rejection scheme. Finally, the most recent and reliable background pixels from multiple frames are warped to the reference frame and then used to integrate the final mosaic. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed approach is efficient for mosaic generation in H.264 compressed domain.

A deep convolutional long short-term memory network (DC-LSTM) based video abnormal behavior prediction method has been proposed. The DC-LSTM deepens the single-layer convolution of the convolutional LSTM, which can be applied to suppress structural information ambiguity in predicting multiple frames. Mean square error is combined with structural similarity to perform loss reconstruction for correlative calculating between predicted and input frames. An adaptive dynamic double-threshold strategy based on the loss reconstruction is adopted to determine whether the video is abnormal. Comparisons with some state-of-the-arts have highlighted the superior performance of the proposal.

Color differences between different views can cause performance degradation in multiview video coding. In order to overcome this problem, in this paper a local color correction method based on histogram segmentation is proposed. In the proposed method, we correct the color changes in the different segmentation regions between the current picture and the reference picture. Extensive experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms the traditional global linear color correction methods with objective mean of disparity values and subjective visual quality, and achieves better correction results.

PECVD hydrogenated silicon oxynitride (SiON) thin film, due to its excellent chemical and physical properties, is widely used in flexible encapsulation as an protective layer. However, SiON thin film cracking severely restricted the performance of the thin film encapsulation, and cannot be effectively tackled by flexible electronics industry. So improving the quality of the SiON thin film and preventing thin film cracking is crucial to flexible electronics industry. In this paper, effects of RF power, pressure, process gas on stress property in SiON thin film were studied in detail by stress meter. Therefore, increasing RF power, pressure and decreasing H_2 flow can prevent SiON thin film cracking.
