Traditional coding method used the same prediction structure to encode the multi-view sequences whose correlation are distinctly different. This method eliminated the temporal and spatial redundancy by using multi-references blindly. Although the traditional prediction structures have quite good coding efficiency, it results in the problem of high complexity. So by analyzing the characteristic of the multiview video data itself, we designed a correlation testing structure and depending on the correlation intensity on both the temporal and spatial direction, a method of multiple prediction structures coding jointly is proposed. Experimental results show that the proposed method can reduce the coding complexity while maintaining high coding efficiency, and to the sequences whose spatial correlation is quite strong, the method given can not only raise the PSNR, but reduce the bitrate as well.

This paper describes a novel TFT-LCD drive method for high gray scale display based on Genetic Algorithm optimization. The method can optimize scanning drive topology structure and improve the efficiency of scanning. This method uses the traditional DAC to drive the low-bit gray scale while the high-bit gray scale is generated by applying the new topology structure. This method is applied to a 1280*1024 dots RGB TFT-LCD panel which can display 256-level gray scale with 6-bit DAC source driver.

Interactive object segmentation is widely used for extracting any user-interested objects from natural images. A common problem with many interactive segmentation approaches is that the object segmentation quality is degraded due to inaccurate object/background seeds provided by the user. This paper proposes an iterative adjustable graph cut to efficiently solve this problem. First, object/background seeds are initialized based on the object segmentation result obtained with the user-specified scribbles as the interactive input. Then, an iterative seed adjustment scheme is exploited to correct inaccurate seeds and extract new suitable seeds via graph cut, in which the balancing weight between energy terms are adaptively updated to protect stable seeds and speedup the iteration process. Finally, suitable seeds are obtained and graph cut is used to segment the objects. Experimental results demonstrate the better segmentation performance of our approach even if user provides rather rough seeds.
