In this paper, the reliability issue of the LED lamp in high temperature and moisture condition was investigated. Thermal stress and hygroscopic stress in the LED package were obtained by coupled-field analysis using Finite element analysis (FEA). The results demonstrate that the temperature of the module can reach saturation in tens of seconds while the moisture field needs longer to reach balance. 85℃/85RH can reach the same distribution of relative humidity with 65℃/65RH, but the time spent is half. So temperature is the important factor to affect the humidity distribution. The moisture concentration is better than the relative humidity response to the material moisture level. So we made further research on hygroscopic stress. Both the thermal stress and hygroscopic stress contributed to the delaminations in LED packages.

Due to complexity, multiplicity and randomness of table tennis matches, it is necessary to develop some skill and tactic diagnostic models especially an efficient scoring model to get some skill and tactics data for table tennis matches. A scoring model is developed for table tennis matches based on video image processing technology. An input match video is used to analysis the skill and tactic of the players. Once the player scored more than some criteria points constantly, it records this particular event either in the notebook or in database to arouse his attention. By playing the fragment of the record video either slow or fast as he likes, the player can know not only the reason why he lose the points, but also know the skill and tactic of the opponent. Besides it gives a dynamic grow of histogram for every score. The proposal improves the efficiency and quality of the matches. Moreover it provides an efficient guidance in the future's plan making, practice or competition for coachers and athletes.

It is very important to analyze and synthesize sports video sequences efficiently for improving competition. Aiming at some limits existing in literature with complex computation and low efficiency in analysis sport video, a novel method has been developed to analyze and synthesize sport videos by intercepting pictures manually or automatically based on visual content. A group of continuous pictures is intercepted automatically from sports video sequences firstly. Some pictures can be added and removed manually based on visual content secondly. Some concerning pictures containing some important semantic information can be gotten in this way. Each picture can be analyzed by some marks added and can be saved in a container. Each group of pictures can be found in the related folder easily and can be demonstrated continuously. Much time is saved and some important semantic information in the sport video can be obtained efficiently by the proposal.

In this paper, the design and verification process of an automobile-engine-fan control system on chip (SoC) are introduced. The SoC system, SHU-MV08, reuses four new intellectual property (IP) cores and the design flow is accomplished with 0.35 btm chartered CMOS technology. Some special functions of IP cores, the detailed integration scheme of four IP cores, and the verification method of the entire SoC are presented. To settle the verification problems brought by analog IP cores, NanoSim based chip-level mixed-signal verification method is introduced. The verification time is greatly reduced and the first tape-out achieves success which proves the validity of our design.

With the continual increase in cooling demand for microprocessors, the microelectronics industry has been increasingly focused on the development of thermal solutions. Thermal Interface Material (TIM) plays a key role in reducing the thermal resistance of packaging and the thermal resistance between the electronic device and the external cooling components. Nano-TIM, a new type of thermal interface material, was developed to improve the heat dissipation of electronic devices. This paper describes work undertaken to research the reliability of Nano-TIM. Pull tests were used to investigate the shear strength of samples with Nano-TIM of different thicknesses coalesced between two PCBs with Sn coating made under different pressure. Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) analysis techniques were used to determine the morphology of the shear fracture section after pull tests and observe the structure of the cross section of Nano-TIM coalesced between two PCBs with Sn coating.

This paper presents the ASIC design and implementation of digital baseband system for UHF RFID reader based on EPC Global C1G2/ISO 18000-6c protocol. The digital baseband system consists of two parts: transmitter and receiver, which inculing encoding module, decoding module, channel filers, CRC chenk module, control module and a SPI module. It is described in verilog HDL in RTL level, with Design Complier for synthesizing, PT for static timing analyzing and Astro for physical design. The die is fabricated using IBM 130nm 8-layer-metal RF cmos process successfully, which size is 3 mm × 3mm, the power consumption is around 6.7mW. It can be applied in the research of single-chip UHF RFID reader.

This paper presents a 2.4GHz fully integrated power amplifier based on 0.18μm SiGe BiCMOS technology for wireless local area network applications [1]. The power amplifier shows a 1 dB compression output power of 22.19dBm at an input power of 0.135dBm. A temperature-insensitive bias circuit is used in this PA design to improve the amplifier linearity. The total fabricated die size is about 1.5mm×1.2mm. The designed PA based on SiGe BiCMOS technology demonstrates a competitive linearity performance compared with GaAs, when considering the factors of cost and process complexity.

Current multi-view video coding (MVC) reference model in joint video team (JVT) does not provide efficient rate control schemes. This paper presents a rate control algorithm for MVC by improving the quadratic rate-distortion (R-D) model. We reasonably allocate bit-rate among views based on the correlation analysisl The proposed algorithm consists of three levels to control the rate bits more accurately, of which the frame layer allocates bits according to the frame complexity and the temporal activity. Extensive experiments show that the proposed algorithm can control the bit rate efficiently.
