The organic/inorganic hybrid barriers were fabricated to encapsulate the organic light-emitting ***2O3 as inorganic layer was deposited by atomic layer deposition(ALD)and polydimethoxysilane(PDMS)as organic layer was prepared by the spin-coating *** was found that the optimized encapsulation structure with a prior planarization process had a better barrier performance with a lower water vapor transmission rate improved effectively from 4.95 × 10-1 gm-2 day-1 of Al2O3/PDMS films to 7.30 × 10-3 gm-2 day-1 of the hybrid PDMS/Al2O3/PDMS films at 60℃ and a relative humidity of 90%and a longer luminance decay *** improvements were attributed to the surface planarization of encapsulation basement including the coverage of particles by the prior spin-coating process,reducing the defects of inorganic film in process,and the hydrophobic surface of the outermost polymer lowering the adsorption of water vapor.

Room-temperature phosphorescent (RTP) carbon dots (CDs) have been fascinated by a lot of scholars because of their stable triplet excited states and environmental friendliness. Herein, novel fluorescent oxygen-enriched CDs were synthesized by a simple one-step solvothermal approach, which can be applied in cell imaging directly as a nontoxic fluorescent probe. When mixing the CDs with polyvinyl alcohol, the composite exhibits excellent RTP performance, which has the exciting prospect of applications in security protection. The observed RTP is attributed to the lone pair electrons provided by oxygen-rich functional groups of CDs. Benefitting from the n → π* transition and triplet exciton filling, the C–O–C groups of CDs play a significant role in their ultralong RTP performance. Our finding creates an avenue for advanced security protection technology based on metal-free RTP carbon nanomaterials.

An illumination normalization method for face recognition has been developed since it was difficult to control lighting conditions efficiently in the practical applications. Considering that the irradiation light is of little variation in a certain area, a mean estimation method is used to simulate the illumination component of a face image. Illumination component is removed by subtracting the mean estimation from the original image. In order to highlight face texture features and suppress the impact of adjacent domains, a ratio of the quotient image and its modulus mean value is obtained. The exponent result of the ratio is closely approximate to a relative reflection component. Since the gray value of facial organs is less than that of the facial skin, postprocessing is applied to the images in order to highlight facial texture for face recognition. Experiments show that the performance by using the proposed method is superior to that of state of the arts.

In this paper, the Sr-doped In 2 O 3 thin film is fabricated by aqueous route and the stability of InSrO thin film transistor under negative bias illumination stress (NBIS) is investigated. It is found that Sr can effectively improve the stability of In 2 O 3 TFTs under NBIS, which is due to the reduction of oxygen vacancies. The XPS measurement is tested to analyze the variation of oxygen vacancy concentration. The density of states is calculated to further confirm the decrease of total trap state caused by Sr doping.

Organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) is one of the most potential display technologies in the flat panel display (FPD) field, and its applications include simple monochrome large-area lighting to full color, video-capable graphics displays and so on. As organic materials are susceptible to humidity and oxygen, encapsulation is a key issue for OLED device reliability. In the present paper, two kinds of OLED samples have been studied; one encapsulated by adhesive matrix with fillers, and one without encapsulation. Variation of the electrical parameters of the OLED samples with respect to exposure time has been measured. The primary experiment investigation was carried out for the OLED sample sealed with an anisotropic conductive adhesive. Encapsulation material analysis, such as choices of different fillers/absorbent in the adhesive matrix, optimization of polymer matrix etc., will be conducted in future work.
