High efficient and high color rendering index white organic light-emitting diodes

We have fabricated high-efficient white organic light-emitting diodes （WOLEDs） using two types of electron transport materials with different electron mobility. The effect of the electron mobility on the device performance is discussed. In addition, to generate the desired white emission and high color rendering index, we perform the structure design of OLED, in which the functions of co-host of blue and green dopants on chromatic-stability are investigated. Experimental results find that the maximum color rendering index reaches as high as 91 at the voltage of 8 V.

Jetting is regarded as the next generation dispensing technology due to its features of non-contact and high precision dispensing. In this paper, we developed a jetting system for chip-on-glass package consisting of a jetting dispenser and a 3-axis movement system. The jetting dispenser applied a concept of modular design to construct four modules, which were nozzle, actuator, feeder and temperature controller. To analyze the factors influencing the fluid jetting, the proper fluid and structure models were set up. In the jetting dispenser, we used a solenoid valve (f >100Hz) to provide a high-speed movement for a needle. In a dispensing process, a piston drove a needle to move reciprocate, and its stroke was measured and controlled by a micrometer. A 3-axis system was a platform for the installation of jetting dispenser, and supported a reciprocating motion to follow the programmed route. ©2009 IEEE.

ITO transparent film was deposited on glass substrates by RF-magnetron sputtering equipment as electrode, routing material and the photolithography process was studied. The results shown that the ITO based transparent electrode routing needs larger dose energy than that Mo based substrate when the PR processes were all identical. The photo resist cannot be exposed thoroughly where the length/width ratio of gap between routing serried lines lager than 80 as the typical Mo based exposure process. The width of gap reached to 8.7um which was the limit of exposure machine of transparent film after the 2000um-length, 4um-width gap was exposed thoroughly. It should be attention of the routing gap design for electrical characters in transparent flat panel display. © (2012) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

A new method for fabrication of ZnO nanorods was reported. ZnO nanorods were synthesized by electrospinning technology and heat treatment with polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and Zinc acetate as precursor. After heat treatment of ZnO electrospun nanofibers, ZnO nanorods were obtained. Morphology of ZnO nanorods was characterized by Scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Various morphologies, such as sphere, flower and plane composed of ZnO nanorods were observed. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) images demonstrated ZnO nanorods are a single crystalline structure with a diameter of 100-180 nm. The hexagonal wurtzite structure of ZnO nanorods was determined by X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern and Raman spectra. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

A novel nonsubsampled contourlet Bi-linear interpolation algorithm for remote sensing image is proposed, which is based on the estimation of detail nonsubsampled contourlet coefficients at high resolution scales. The method employs Bi-linear interpolation algorithm to anticipate the high frequency component on high resolution from the high frequency component on low resolution. The experiment results demonstrate that the algorithm can get a higher PSNR and keep more image detail information than traditional interpolation algorithms. ©2010 IEEE.

Micro-LED has attracted more attention due to its unique photoelectric properties, such as high brightness, high energy efficiency, high stability and other characteristics, which facilitate its widespread application. Bumps can be used for electrical connections and heat transfer paths as well as structural supports that affect the reliability of Micro-LED devices. Hybrid bonding enhances the reliability and longevity of electronic devices while also ensuring the compatibility of bonding process. Currently, there is limited finite element simulation research on Micro-LEDs, particularly regarding electrothermal and mechanical multi-physical field simulations. Herein, the electrothermal and mechanical coupling of a quarter of a 6×6 Micro-LED array model was analyzed using COMSOL Multiphysics simulation software and the finite element method. The analysis primarily focused on the stress and displacement of bumps in the hybrid bonding model. The optimal combinations of different bump materials (indium-In, tin-Sn) and filling materials (epoxy resin-EP and benzocyclobuteneBCB) were obtained. The results indicate that BCB is a more suitable filling material, while In is preferable as a bump material. Furthermore, variations in thermal stress and displacement of cylindrical and circular-truncated cone bumps of different aspect ratios were analyzed. This paper provides an idea for optimizing the fabrication of Micro-LED bumps and bonding processes. ©2024 IEEE.

An improved dual filed modular inversion algorithm which can support inversion operation in both GF(P) and GF(2∧m) is proposed in this paper. Compared with previous ones based on Extended Euclidean algorithm, it not only finishes modular inversion arithmetic in dual fields, but also operates much faster by more effective shift operations and avoiding time-consuming magnitude comparison. The simple addition/subtraction becomes the most complex operation in the new algorithm while the multiplication/division is replaced by cheap shifting, and thus only two adders and one subtraction device are required to complete its hardware implementation. The 256-bit modular inversion circuit based on the improved algorithm is implemented in SMIC 0.18 CMOS standard cell technology. The synthesis result indicates that the design is about 17% faster than that of previous algorithms while the area is only 5% larger. ©2009 IEEE.

LCD display solution always contains three main parts: controller, source driver and gate driver, which is commonly designed separately in large-sized panel, but integrated on single chip for medium-sized or small, such as digital cellular phones and small PDAs. This paper describes a high-speed GRAM (Graphics RAM) supporting 1-chip solution for TFT-LCD panel, which capacity is 132(width) × l76(length) × 16(RGB) bits, storing 65k-color image, which read access time is 546 ps.

In order to improve flexibility of surrounding stereo system, a novel system for 3D audio rendering is proposed in this paper based on multi-beam steering, which is composed of five beam units using linear loudspeaker arrays. By controlling accurately time delay or phase of loudspeakers, beam can be formed in a desired direction. The simulation results show that the proposed method is reasonable and effective. ©2010 IEEE.

In this work, we have fabricated two bottom-gate zinc oxide thin film transistors (TFTs) with single-layer HfO2 and double-layer HfO2-Al2O3 dielectrics by atomic layer deposition (ALD). The TFT with HfO2-Al2O3 dielectric exhibited better electrical characteristics, such as a higher field effect mobility of 6.1 cm2/V•s and a lower subthreshold swing of 0.124 V/decade. At the same time, the optical properties is also improved significantly with larger responsivity (6.05 A/W) and UV-to-visible rejection ratio (6.05×104). These results are attributed to lower interface trap states between channel layer and dielectric layer by an Al2O3 interlayer. © 2020 IEEE.
