PECVD hydrogenated silicon oxynitride (SiON) thin film, due to its excellent chemical and physical properties, is widely used in flexible encapsulation as an protective layer. However, SiON thin film cracking severely restricted the performance of the thin film encapsulation, and cannot be effectively tackled by flexible electronics industry. So improving the quality of the SiON thin film and preventing thin film cracking is crucial to flexible electronics industry. In this paper, effects of RF power, pressure, process gas on stress property in SiON thin film were studied in detail by stress meter. Therefore, increasing RF power, pressure and decreasing H_2 flow can prevent SiON thin film cracking.

This paper proposes an efficient and flexible interactive object segmentation approach using kernel density estimation based graph cuts. First, the user draws scribbles to roughly mark the interested object and background, respectively, and the likelihood of object versus background is evaluated for each pixel using nonparametric kernel density estimation. Then pixels are globally classified into object and background using graph cuts, which uses likelihood as data cost and gradient information to generate a spatial varying smoothness cost. If the user is not satisfied with the initially segmented object, the user is allowed to mark these undesirable regions by drawing additional scribbles. A local region for refinement is then adaptively determined, and pixel reclassification is performed to extract a more accurate object boundary. Experimental results on a variety of images demonstrate that interested objects with good visual quality can be extracted with less user interaction and a timely response.

Color differences between different views can cause performance degradation in multiview video coding. In order to overcome this problem, in this paper a local color correction method based on histogram segmentation is proposed. In the proposed method, we correct the color changes in the different segmentation regions between the current picture and the reference picture. Extensive experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms the traditional global linear color correction methods with objective mean of disparity values and subjective visual quality, and achieves better correction results.

A deep convolutional long short-term memory network (DC-LSTM) based video abnormal behavior prediction method has been proposed. The DC-LSTM deepens the single-layer convolution of the convolutional LSTM, which can be applied to suppress structural information ambiguity in predicting multiple frames. Mean square error is combined with structural similarity to perform loss reconstruction for correlative calculating between predicted and input frames. An adaptive dynamic double-threshold strategy based on the loss reconstruction is adopted to determine whether the video is abnormal. Comparisons with some state-of-the-arts have highlighted the superior performance of the proposal.

Nanopowders of Sn-3.0Ag-0.5Cu (wt.%) alloy, which has the promising potential applications in microelectronics packaging as the lead free solder, were prepared under the protection of three various coolants. The oxidation of the nanopowders was measured by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and other relative methods to compare the protection of the nanopowders during their preparation. Moreover, the scanning electron microscope (SEM) was employed to measure the morphology and size of these nanopowders. It was observed that the Sn-based nanopowders were almost spherical in shape. In addition, the results showed that nearly the total powders are smaller than 100 nm.

Heat resistant conductive adhesives composed of a multi-functional epoxy matrix containing Ag flakes were developed in this work. The adhesives are potentially stable up to 200-250degC because the primary relaxation mechanism of the matrix resin occurs at ~250degC. However, the adhesives appeared to exhibit another relaxation mechanism at an intermediate temperature range (100-180degC) when a mono-epoxide was added to the mixture as the reactive diluent. Adhesives cured under appropriate curing conditions exhibited relatively low electrical resistivity and high thermal conductivity in the in-plane direction. Because the reactive diluent influences the electrical and thermal properties as well as the thermo-mechanical properties of the adhesives, the selection of the most appropriate reactive diluent will be the key to developing conductive adhesives that exhibit superior heat resistance.

Color metasurface holograms are powerful and versatile platforms for modulating the amplitude,phase,polarization,and other properties of light at multiple operating ***,the current color metasurface holography can only realize static *** this study,we propose and demonstrate a multiplexing metasurface technique combined with multiwavelength code-division multiplexing(CDM)to realize dynamic *** code references are utilized to record information within a single metasurface and increase the information capacity and security for anticracks.A total of 48 monochrome images consisting of pure color characters and multilevel color video frames were reconstructed in dual polarization channels of the birefringent metasurface to exhibit high information density,and a video was displayed via sequential illumination of the corresponding code patterns to verify the ability of dynamic *** approach demonstrates significant application potential in optical data storage,optical encryption,multiwavelengthversatile diffractive optical elements,and stimulated emission depletion microscopy.

Continued miniaturization in combination with increased performance in microelectronics has generated an urgent need for improved thermal management techniques in order to maintain reliability in systems and devices. Thermal interface materials play a key role in the development of solutions for thermal management in microelectronics. In this paper, mechanical properties of a nanotechnology enhanced thermal interface material (Nano-TIM) were studied. The material is based on Sn-Ag-Cu based alloy reinforced with nano scale fiber matrix. Tensile tests were used to investigate and compare the elastic modulus at room temperature and mechanical strength between 20 to 100°C. Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) analysis techniques were used to investigate the morphology of the fracture section after tensile tests as well as the internal structure of the samples. The results show that the Nano-TIM can have a significantly lower elastic modulus compared to the pure alloy phase of SnAgCu due to its fiber phase. A lower elastic modulus of the solder joint can be important since it will reduce the stress transfer across the interface. This is particular important when the joint substrates have mismatching coefficients of thermal expansion. The findings of this study thus indicate that the Nano-TIM may provide a useful alternative to improve the thermomechanical reliability compared to pure solder joints.

3DV quality model based depth maps for view synthesis in FTV system

Depth maps are used for synthesis virtual view in free-viewpoint television （FTV） systems. When depth maps are derived using existing depth estimation methods, the depth distortions will cause undesirable artifacts in the synthesized views. To solve this problem, a 3D video quality model base depth maps （D-3DV） for virtual view synthesis and depth map coding in the FTV applications is proposed. First, the relationships between distortions in coded depth map and rendered view are derived. Then, a precisely 3DV quality model based depth characteristics is develop for the synthesized virtual views. Finally, based on D-3DV model, a multilateral filtering is applied as a pre-processed filter to reduce rendering artifacts. The experimental results evaluated by objective and subjective methods indicate that the proposed D-3DV model can reduce bit-rate of depth coding and achieve better rendering quality.

Polarization manipulation of electromagnetic wave or polarization multiplexed beam shaping based on metasurfaces has been reported in various frequency ***,it is difficult to shape the beam with multi-channel polarization conversion in a single ***,we propose a new method for terahertz wavefront shaping with multi-channel polarization conversion via all-silicon metasurface,which is based on the linear shape birefringence effect in spatially interleaved anisotropic *** superimposing the eigen-and non-eigen-polarization responses of the two kinds of meta-atoms,we demonstrate the possibility for high-efficiency evolution of several typical polarization states with two independent channels for linearly polarized *** measured polarization conversion efficiency is higher than 70%in the range of 0.9–1.3 THz,with a peak value of 89.2%at 1.1 *** addition,when more other polarization states are incident,combined with the integration of sub-arrays,we can get more channels for both polarization conversion and beam *** and experimental results verify the feasibility of this *** proposed method provides a new idea for the design of terahertz multi-functional metadevices.
