Precipitation via thermal treatments is among the most effective approaches to strengthening and is widely applied in the Al *** treatments combined with deformation are capable of finely regulating the process of precipitation and distribution of ***-induced defects exert significant impacts on the precipitation and already present precipitates,which however is often *** this study,the interactions between deformation and precipitation/precipitates,and their im-pacts on mechanical properties were systematically investigated in the solution-treated(ST)Al-0.61Mg-1.17Si-0.5Cu(wt.％),processed by multi-pass equal channel angular pressing(ECAP)and thermal *** deformation-mediated cyclic evolution of precipitates is discovered:ST→(1,2 passes:de-formation induced precipitation)Guinier Preston(GP)zones→(An250/30)Q'and L phases→(3-pass:deformation induced fragmentation/resolution)spherical precipitates→(4-pass:deformation induced fur-ther fragmentation/resolution)GP *** this basis,we extend the quasi-binary phase diagram of Al-Mg2Si along deformation as the third dimension and construct an innovative defect phase diagram for the Al-Mg-Si-based *** testify to the effect of deformation-mediated cyclic evolution of pre-cipitation/precipitates on the optimum mechanical properties,peak-aging treatments were performed in samples of ST and 3-pass *** on the microscopic characterizations,a distinctive mechanism of peak-aging strengthening is *** in the 3-pass ECAPed and peak-aged sample the dominant strengthening phases become the L precipitates that thrived from the segmented and spherical L phases,rather than β"precipitates in the solely peak-aged ST *** work provides a feasible example for exploring the combined processing technique of multi-step deformation and thermal treatments,to optimize the mechanical properties.

Reconfigurable devices can be used to achieve multiple logic operation and intelligent optical sensing with low power consumption,which is promising candidates for new generation electronic and optoelectronic integrated ***,the versatility is still limited and need to be extended by the device architectures ***,we report an asymmetrically gate two-dimensional(2D)van der Waals heterostructure with hybrid dielectric layer SiO_(2)/hexagonal boron nitride(h-BN),which enable rich function including reconfigurable logic operation and in-sensor information encryption enabled by both volatile and non-volatile optoelectrical *** the partial gate is grounded,the non-volatile light assisted electrostatic doping endowed partially reconfigurable doping between n-type and p-type,which allow the switching of logic XOR and not implication(NIMP).When the global gate is grounded,additionally taking the optical signal as another input signal,logic AND and OR is realized by combined regulation of the light and localized gate *** on the high on/off current ratio approaching 105 and reliable&switchable logic gate,in-sensor information encryption and decryption is demonstrated by manipulating the logic ***,these results provide strong extension for current reconfigurable electronic and optoelectronic devices.

To achieve a balance between visual privacy protection and visual information integrity, we propose a visual privacy protection method based on YOLOv8 and controlNet. In the privacy recognition process, we realize the targeted selection of redrawing area by recognizing privacy features and effectively segmenting the people and backgrounds that leak privacy. In the privacy preservation process, individuals undergo virtual dressing through the controlNet-guided Stable Diffusion model, resulting in visually protected images. Empirical studies demonstrate promising results, with an average accuracy of 94.7% in privacy identification. Additionally, the average Structural Similarity Index (SSIM) value between privacy-protected images and original images stands at 0.843 © 2024 IEEE.

High-aspect-ratio metallic surface microstructures are increasingly demanded in breakthrough applications,such as high-performance heat transfer enhancement and surface plasmon ***,the fast and cost-effective fabrication of high-aspect-ratio microstructures on metallic surfaces remains challenging for existing *** study proposes a novel cutting-based process,namely elliptical vibration chiseling(EV-chiseling),for the high-efficiency texturing of surface microstructures with an ultrahigh aspect *** conventional cutting,EV-chiseling superimposes a microscale EV on a backward-moving *** tool chisels into the material in each vibration cycle to generate an upright chip with a high aspect ratio through material *** to the tool’s backward movement,the chip is left on the material surface to form a microstructure rather than falling *** one microstructure is generated in one vibration cycle,the process can be highly efficient using ultrafast(>1 kHz)tool vibration.A finite element analysis model is established to explore the process mechanics of ***,a mechanistic model of the microstructured surface generation is developed to describe the microstructures’aspect ratio dependency on the process ***,surface texturing tests are performed on copper to verify the efficacy of *** micro ribs with a spacing of 1–10μm and an aspect ratio of 2–5 have been successfully textured on *** with the conventional EV-cutting that uses a forward-moving tool,EV-chiseling can improve the aspect ratio of textured microstructure by up to 40 *** experimental results also verify the accuracy of the developed surface generation model of ***,the effects of elliptical trajectory,depth of cut,tool shape,and tool edge radius on the surface generation of micro ribs have been discussed.

An axisymmetric characteristic model for enhancing prediction of centrifugal compressor characteristics

Rapid and accurate determination of compressor characteristic maps is essential for the initial design of centrifugal compressors in aircraft power systems. The accuracy of existing methodologies, which rely on combinations of loss models, varies significantly depending on the compressor's geometry and operational range. This variance necessitates substantial experimental or Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD) data for coefficient calibration. To address this challenge, this study presents an axisymmetric characteristic model for compressor performance assessment. This model incorporates the factors of blade angle, meridional passage area, and the radial deflection angle of meridional streamlines of the compressor. These factors are derived from fundamental aerodynamic equations encompassing mass, momentum, and energy conservation of the compressor. In contrast to conventional one-dimensional approaches, the proposed method reduces the number of loss coefficients and more effectively accounts for the impact of geometric alterations on centrifugal compressor properties. Furthermore, the model reduces dependence on experimental and CFD data. Efficacy of the model is validated using experimental data from four distinct types of centrifugal compressors. Correlation analysis reveals that the model's coefficients can be expressed as functions of the ratio of the Reynolds number to the impeller tip speed. This ratio serves as a characteristic parameter for the design and optimization of centrifugal compressors. Consequently, the proposed method offers an efficient and accurate means for the quick computation of centrifugal compressor characteristics. This is of great significance for improving the efficiency of centrifugal compressors and reducing energy consumption.

By integrating deep neural networks with reinforcement learning,the Double Deep Q Network(DDQN)algorithm overcomes the limitations of Q-learning in handling continuous spaces and is widely applied in the path planning of mobile ***,the traditional DDQN algorithm suffers from sparse rewards and inefficient utilization of high-quality *** those problems,an improved DDQN algorithm based on average Q-value estimation and reward redistribution was ***,to enhance the precision of the target Q-value,the average of multiple previously learned Q-values from the target Q network is used to replace the single Q-value from the current target Q ***,a reward redistribution mechanism is designed to overcome the sparse reward problem by adjusting the final reward of each action using the round reward from trajectory ***,a reward-prioritized experience selection method is introduced,which ranks experience samples according to reward values to ensure frequent utilization of high-quality ***,simulation experiments are conducted to verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm in fixed-position scenario and random *** experimental results show that compared to the traditional DDQN algorithm,the proposed algorithm achieves shorter average running time,higher average return and fewer average *** performance of the proposed algorithm is improved by 11.43%in the fixed scenario and 8.33%in random *** not only plans economic and safe paths but also significantly improves efficiency and generalization in path planning,making it suitable for widespread application in autonomous navigation and industrial automation.

Exploring cathode materials that combine excellent cycling stability and high energy density poses a challenge to aqueous Zn-ion hybrid supercapacitors(ZHSCs).Herein,polyaniline(PANI)coated boron-carbon-nitrogen(BCN)nanoarray on carbon cloth surface is prepared as advanced cathode materials via simple high-temperature calcination and electrochemical deposition *** of the excellent specific capacity and conductivity of PANI,the CC@BCN@PANI core-shell nanoarrays cathode shows an excellent ion storage ***,the 3D nanoarray structure can provide enough space for the volume expansion and contraction of PANI in the charging/discharging cycles,which effectively avoids the collapse of the microstructure and greatly improves the electrochemical stability of ***,the CC@BCN@PANI-based ZHSCs exhibit superior electrochemical performances showing a specific capacity of 145.8 mAh/g,a high energy density of 116.78 Wh/kg,an excellent power density of 12 kW/kg,and a capacity retention rate of 86.2%after 8000 charge/discharge cycles at a current density of 2 A/*** addition,the flexible ZHSCs(FZHSCs)also show a capacity retention rate of 87.7%at the current density of 2 A/g after 450 cycles.

Lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)undergo various degradation phenomena such as material decomposition,structural change and uneven lithium ion distribution during long-term cycles,which would affect their performance and *** order to improve the performance of the LIBs during their life cycle,preload force is preset when the batteries are *** preload forces will in turn affect the cycle life and heat generation of the *** order to address this issue,this work carries out charge/discharge cycle tests on a NCM811 battery under different preload *** calorimetry tests are performed to investigate the battery heat generation under different states of health(SOHs)and preload *** on the test results,an empirical prediction model for heat generation power as a function of SOH is *** show that when the preload force is 5 N·m,the battery capacity decreases in the slowest rate and the average heat generation power is the *** in peaks of the incremental capacity curve can be used to characterize the loss of lithium at the electrode,which in turn characterizes the change of heat generation power of the *** average heat generation power is mainly affected by the SOH,going through a period of trough with the decrease of the SOH and continuing to increase after crossing the critical *** general,these findings emphasize the relationship between preload force,SOH and heat generation power,which is helpful for the judgment of optimal preload to improve the efficiency of LIBs.
