A high-performance chemically self-charging aqueous zinc battery using a porous organic polymer cathode

In order to cope with harsh situations without an external power supply, developing high-performance aqueous zinc batteries (AZBs) with chemically self-charging as a self-powered system is of great practical significance. Herein, we present the synthesis of a new porous organic polymer with hexaazatriphenylene hexacarboxylic acid trianhydride (HHAT) and 2,6-diaminoanthraquinone (DAAQ) units (HTAQ). Due to its π -conjugated aromatic structure with abundant redox-active centers and limited solubility in electrolytes, the constructed flexible and coin-type AZBs based on HTAQ cathodes display a superior volume energy density (8.7 mWh/cm 3 ) and a higher energy density (104 Wh/kg), respectively, and excellent cycle life, where both Zn 2+ and H + ions participate in the cathode reaction. Impressively, the electric energy exhausted flexible Zn//HTAQ AZB can be chemically self-recharged by exposing the discharged HTAQ cathode to air, ascribing to the spontaneous redox reaction between O 2 and the discharged HTAQ cathode. The exhausted flexible Zn//HTAQ AZB after air-charging for 30 h, can present a high discharge capacity of 294 mAh/g at 0.5 A/g, a higher self-charging cycle stability (15 cycles), a high-rate capability, and work well at hybrid modes (chemical or/and galvanostatic charging). Our work opens a new route to construct high-performance self-powered systems based on AZBs.

According to the idea of "Emerging Engineering Education"talent training model of Ministry of Education, students should be trained to have "metaphysical"concept, connection, imagination, macro thinking. Project-driven experiment teaching focuses on a project, and the goal is the completion of the project;the student is the center of teaching activities, which is supported by the inquiry process. This study analyzes the significance of the project-driven method in experimental teaching. This paper describes the implementation process of experimental teaching in the field of energy and power engineering in terms of project design, teaching system construction and so on under the project-driven method. By analyzing the results of a questionnaire survey distributed to students of energy and power in the College of Mechanical Engineering at the Tianjin University of technology, it is found that the students are satisfied with the effects of project-driven experimental teaching, and the use of experimental teaching has greatly aroused the students' enthusiasm for learning. The ability of the students to engage in autonomous learning, engineering practice and innovation has been greatly improved, and a good teaching effect has been achieved. © 2021 IEEE.

Although metasurfaces have shown great potential for manipulating light,most previously realized meta-devices suffer from uncontrolled angular dispersions,making them unfavorable for many ***,we propose a general strategy to realize optical metasurfaces with desired angular dispersions based on carefully controlling both the near-field couplings between meta-atoms and the radiation pattern of a single *** such a strategy,we experimentally demonstrate a series of optical meta-devices with predesigned angular dispersions,including two incident-angle-insensitive absorbers,one incident-angle-selective absorber,and one multifunctional meta-polarizer whose functionality changes from a perfect mirror to a half-waveplate as the excitation angle ***,we design a gradient meta-device using meta-atom arrays with purposely controlled angular dispersions and numerically demonstrate that it can exhibit distinct wavefront-control functionalities when illuminated at different incident *** findings establish a new platform for achieving angle-multiplexed functional meta-devices,significantly expanding the wave-manipulation capabilities of optical metasurfaces.

3D Scene Flow Estimation on Pseudo-LiDAR: Bridging the Gap on Estimating Point Motion

3D scene flow characterizes how the points at the current time flow to the next time in the 3D Euclidean space, which possesses the capacity to infer autonomously the non-rigid motion of all objects in the scene. The previous methods for estimating scene flow from images have limitations, which split the holistic nature of 3D scene flow by estimating optical flow and disparity separately. Learning 3D scene flow from point clouds also faces the difficulties of the gap between synthesized and real data and the sparsity of LiDAR point clouds. In this paper, the generated dense depth map is utilized to obtain explicit 3D coordinates, which achieves direct learning of 3D scene flow from 2D images. The stability of the predicted scene flow is improved by introducing the dense nature of 2D pixels into the 3D space. Outliers in the generated 3D point cloud are removed by statistical methods to weaken the impact of noisy points on the 3D scene flow estimation task. Disparity consistency loss is proposed to achieve more effective unsupervised learning of 3D scene flow. The proposed method of self-supervised learning of 3D scene flow on real-world images is compared with a variety of methods for learning on the synthesized dataset and learning on LiDAR point clouds. The comparisons of multiple scene flow metrics are shown to demonstrate the effectiveness and superiority of introducing pseudo-LiDAR point cloud to scene flow estimation. © 2022, CC BY.

The searching for green memristor with good environmental robustness will be significant for next generation biodegradable devices. In this work, bio-compatible and non-toxic polydopamine (PDA) was prepared by self-polymerization of dopamine in simple aqueous solution, which was protonated by different acid concentrations (3~12M HCl) and further fabricated as memory devices with structures of FTO/PDA/Ag. The ON/OFF ratio are enhanced gradually from 103.7 (PDA-3M), 102.9 (PDA-6M), 102.5 (PDA-6M) to 104.4 (PDA-12M). The lower conjugated degree, the closer lattice packing and the less radicals after acid treatment are the reasons for the enhanced bipolar resistive switching performances of protonated PDA-based memristor. The resistive switching mechanism is the conductive filament with three processes of Ohm, space charge limited conduction (SCLC) and trap-filled limited (TFL). In addition, the FTO/PDA-12M/Ag exhibit good environmental robustness, including thermal (100°C) and ionizing irradiation (UV exposure for 96h). In all, the facial protonation treatment and the simple sandwich device structures together with good environmental robustness endow its promising applications in as green, stable and biodegradable next generation electron devices. © 2022, The Authors. With the continuous development and application of industrial Internet, the weakness of the security defense capability of industrial Internet has become increasingly prominent. This paper presents an end-to-end classification model combining Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) network for DDoS attacks over industrial Internet. By self-learning the spatial and temporal characteristics of the original attack traffic, the model can avoid subjective errors that may occur due to manual selection of features. This method is a feasible means, with an accuracy rate of 99%.

Instruments widely used in food texture detection are different from human oral environment and chewing movement parameters, which results in inconsistent detection data and taste. Experts’ sensory evaluation of food also has the shortcomings of expensive, inefficient and difficult to standardize. The development and research of bionic chewing robots is regarded as a new direction to solve problems in this field. This paper presents the basic structure of a chewing robot based on six-axis parallel mechanism and establishes its kinematics model. By using the inverse kinematics method, the expressions of the position and velocity relationship between the prismatic pair driven by the motor and the moving platform were obtained through theoretical analysis. Referring to human chewing action, a set of moving platform trajectories were designed. At the same time, the displacement and velocity curves of each prismatic pair under the predetermined trajectory of the moving platform were obtained by kinematics simulation. This research will provide a basis for the motion control of chewing robots, and also contribute to the development of food texture inspection equipment. © 2020, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

In the process of the traditional quantitative method is easily interfered with by subjective and external environment, and cannot reflect the real emotion of users. The implicit measurement method can better reflect the cognitive of users and has good reliability in perceptual evaluation. In this paper, the implicit cognitive processing process in users' perceptual evaluation of products is quantitatively analyzed. The correlation between product image attribute values and implicit measurement data is obtained. Thus, an image extraction model based on implicit measurement data is obtained. The implicit association test is introduced into the image extraction process, and the relationship between the implicit association test data of users and the data of product image attribute values is analyzed. Taking UAV as the analysis prototype, the image extraction model is obtained. After verification and analysis, the image extraction results are consistent with the image attribute values. © The Authors, published by EDP Sciences, 2020.
