A Targeted Feature Mode Extraction Method with Adaptive Local Feature Enhancement in Rolling Bearing Fault Diagnosis

The increasing complexity of modern machinery has led to frequent occurrences of compound bearing faults with coupled characteristics, posing significant challenges for traditional diagnostic methods in industrial noise environments. This paper proposes a targeted feature mode extraction method with adaptive local feature enhancement. This method divides the frequency band through order statistics filters according to characteristics of the Fourier spectrum, so that the complete fault information can be obtained and the noise outside the passband of each initial mode is suppressed. Then a new estimated method of fault characteristic frequency, the envelope harmonic kurtosis spectrum, is introduced. Based on this, an adaptive feature enhancement method is proposed so that the initial mode can be enhanced according to its own feature. By developing a structural parameter-guided targeted mode selection mechanism, this work effectively avoids the possibility of eliminating fault modes in conventional decomposition methods. Finally, the accuracy of extracting multiple fault features was verified through simulation and experiments. © 2001-2012 IEEE.

The welded joints of Cr35Ni45Nb cracking furnace tubes often crack and fail under the effect of residual welding stress, causing large economic losses. In this paper, a finite element model of a Cr35Ni45Nb cracking furnace tube with an outer diameter of 88 mm and a wall thickness of 7 mm is established, and a double ellipsoidal heat source is used to apply the load. Use Python language to write the life and death unit to carry out the secondary development of ABAQUS to simulate the generation process of solder in the welding process. The laser power is selected as the independent variable, and the sequential coupling method is used to analyse the influence of temperature and residual stress on it during the welding process. The research results show that the higher the laser power, the temperature reached on the weld area will also be higher. The largest axial residual stress appears in the area away from the weld, and the largest circumferential residual stress appears on the outer surface of the weld. Data-Driven Bipartite Consensus control for Large Workpieces Rotation of Nonlinear Multi-Robot Systems

In this paper, a novel data-driven bipartite consensus control scheme is proposed for the rotation problem of large workpieces with multi-robot systems (MRSs) under a directed communication topology. The rotation of a large workpiece is described as the MRSs with cooperation and antagonism interaction. By the signed graph theory, it is further transformed into a bipartite consensus control problem, where all followers are uniformly degenerated into the general nonlinear systems based on the lateral error model. To augment the flexibility of control protocol and improve control performance, a higher-dimensional full form dynamic linearization (FFDL) technique is committed to the MRSs. The control input criterion function consists of the data model based on FFDL and the bipartite consensus error based on the signed graph theory, and the proposed control protocol is given by optimizing this criterion function. In this way, this scheme has a higher degree of freedom and better adaptive adjustment capability while not excessively increasing the control method complexity, and it can also be compatible with other forms of dynamic linearization techniques in MRSs. Further, three matrix norm lemmas are introduced to deal with the challenges of stability analysis caused by higher matrix dimensions and more robots. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by numerical simulations.

Camouflaged object detection (COD) remains a challenging task in computer vision. Existing methods often resort to additional branches for edge supervision, incurring substantial computational costs. To address this, we propose the Co-Supervised Spotlight Shifting Network (CS 3 Net), a compact single-branch framework inspired by how shifting light source exposes camouflage. Our spotlight shifting strategy replaces multi-branch designs by generating supervisory signals that highlight boundary cues. Within CS 3 Net, a Projection Aware Attention (PAA) module is devised to strengthen feature extraction, while the Extended Neighbor Connection Decoder (ENCD) enhances final predictions. Extensive experiments on public datasets demonstrate that CS 3 Net not only achieves superior performance, but also reduces Multiply-Accumulate operations (MACs) by 32.13% compared to state-of-the-art COD methods, striking an optimal balance between efficiency and effectiveness.

Nonlinear ultrasonic guided waves technology has shown excellent application potential in the field of structural stress testing due to its unique nonlinear characteristics and long distance detection range. However, the diversity and complexity of effects about stress on different cumulative second harmonics constrain the development of related research. In this paper, a numerical study about the response Law of different cumulative second harmonics with stress is undertaken based on ABAQUS software. A plate finite element model is established and the corresponding simulation experiment is carried out. The simulation result demonstrates that the variation tendencies of different cumulative second harmonic modes with stress are different, and their relative nonlinear parameters are monotonically increasing or decreasing with the increase of tensile stress. Therefore, in the application of stress detection, it is essential to analyze the response law of the selected cumulative second harmonic mode with stress change in advance. The simulation method proposed in this paper is also applicable to other studies about nonlinear ultrasonic waves and has wide applicability. © 2023 IEEE.

To recover the satellite operations in emergency conditions, a control design scheme for emergency mode that utilizes reaction wheels and magnetic torques is presented in this paper. Firstly, based on a highly reliable sensor suite comprising sun sensors and magnetometers, a suitable attitude control law is designed to complete the satellite attitude missions of rate damping and sun-pointing. Then, considering that there are only two workable reaction wheels due to one reaction wheel failures, a control allocation law is designed to determine the control torque provided by two reaction wheels and the magnetic moment provided by magnetic torquers. Finally, the proposed method is compared with the purely magnetic control method by numerical simulations. The results indicate that the proposed method can achieve the attitude control missions after the satellite enters emergency mode, and performs better in terms of convergence and accuracy.

Effect of thickness on infrared optical property of VO2 film deposited by magnetron sputtering

A series of VO2 films with different thicknesses(from about 25 nm to 250 nm)were prepared on sapphire substrates by radio frequency magnetron *** deposition times varied from 15 min to 150 *** metal to insulator transitions(MIT)of the films were *** optical transmittance of the films to infrared light(with a wavelength of 4.0μm)at room temperature(30℃)varied significantly with film thickness,ranging from 86.53%to 41.01%.The modulation property also changes with thickness,decreasing from 22.89%to 14.74%.The phase transition temperature remained approximately 70℃during heating,and approximately 53℃during cooling,despite a tenfold increase in the deposition time,and the resulting thickness of the *** spectroscopy of the films indicated that the intensities of the characteristic peaks corresponding to V2O5 increase with the increasing of film ***-dependent Raman spectroscopy indicated that the peaks corresponding to VO2 undergo reversible changes during heating and cooling of the films,while the peaks corresponding to V2O5 remain unchanged *** control of the V2O5 content of the films(by varying the duration of the deposition process)allows control over their transmittance and optical modulation properties without changes in the phase transition *** provides a new method of controlling the optical properties of these materials and shows promise for their potential applications in thermochromic windows.

CuI is a wide bandgap p-type transparent conductor with promising optoelectronic properties. However, conventional CuI films prepared through the iodination of Cu films exhibit rough surface, poor stability and excessively high hole concentration, hindering its application. Herein, we introduce CuI−Ga2O3 composite films as a substitution to overcome the shortcomings of pure CuI. During the iodination process, Ga2O3 hinders the mobility of CuI grain boundaries, resulting in small grain size and low surface roughness. After the charge re-equilibrium between Ga2O3 and CuI, the hole concentration in the films decreased by an order of magnitude. The interface effect of Ga2O3 at the grain boundaries of CuI, increases the hole mobility by 5 times and the conductivity by 53%. The ultra-wide band gap of Ga2O3 enhances the transmittance of CuI films in short wavelength region. Ga2O3 serves to passivate the grain boundaries of CuI, preventing the oxidation of CuI and the loss of iodine, consequently improving the stability of the films. This work deepens the understanding of the failure and hole transport mechanisms of CuI films. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.
