In this paper, an online computing model predictive controller is designed for aero-engines and implemented in a microprocessor. Due to the heavy burden of online optimization of model predictive control (MPC) and the high real-time requirements of aero-engines, it is very difficult to embed the MPC algorithm. In this paper, the MPC algorithm is implemented on low-end hardware devices. And this result is mainly achieved by implementing OSQP solver on low-frequency single-chip microcomputers. In order to verify the effectiveness of the controller, a hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test platform is built for testing. When the controller program is running, the optimization solution can be completed online in a very short time, because the solution iteration process can always converge quickly. And the controller has a good control effect on the nonlinear aero-engine model. It is confirmed that the MPC algorithm can be embedded in the application field with complex model and high real-time performance such as aero-engines. © 2022 IEEE.

14α-hydroxy-androst-4-ene-3,17-dione(14α-OH-AD)is an important precursor for the synthesis of steroid drugs with anticancer and carcinolytic ***,14α-OH-AD was mostly synthesized by whole-cell fermentation of mold fungi using androstenedione(AD)as a substrate,which had difficulties in product isolation and purification as well as problems of high production *** this study,the source of the 14α-hydroxylase gene was *** 14α-hydroxylase genes were heterologously expressed in Mycolicibacterium neoaurum(MNR)M3ΔksdD,which enabled the one-step biotransformation from the cheap substrate phytosterols(PS)to 14α-OH-AD,reducing the difficulty of product purification and production *** is more,to alleviate the problem of poor activity of 14α-hydroxylase,the 14α-hydroxylase gene was co-expressed with the electron transport chain element genes and the coenzyme regeneration genes,and a superior engineered strain MNR M3ΔksdD/pMV261-14α-G6PDH was ***,the transformation conditions were optimized for the transformation of PS by the engineered *** molar yield of 14α-OH-AD reached to 60.4±2.3%(about 0.22 g/L productivity).This study investigated for the first time the effects of the tandem electron transport chain element genes and the tandem coenzyme regeneration genes on the 14α-hydroxylation reaction,providing a theoretical basis for the industrial production of 14α-OH-AD.

Concerning the real-time monitoring of important component contents during a fermentation process of 1,3-propanediol,a near-infrared(NIR) spectral calibration modeling method is proposed based on a semi-supervised learning *** solve the problems of high dimensionality and serious information overlap of NIR spectra,a binary mayfly optimization algorithm(BMA) is proposed to select the characteristic wavenumbers of the measured spectra for model *** address the issue of insufficient labeled sample dataset,a robust semi-supervised probabilistic principal component regression(RSSPPCR) modeling method is presented based on the expectation maximization(EM) algorithm,which could fully utilize all labeled and unlabeled spectral *** student t-distribution is introduced into the modeling to improve the model tolerance of outliers,so as to ensure the reliability of simultaneous detection of multiple components during the fermentation *** experimental results show that the proposed model can effectively predict the important contents of glycerol(substrate),1,3-propanediol(product),and biomass during a fermentation process of 1,3-propanediol.

This paper proposed a variable selection algorithm for soft sensor applications using the garrote variable attention mechanism and gated recurrent unit (GRU). Firstly, a well-trained GRU deep neural network is obtained by hyperparameter optimization. Secondly, a set of variable attention coefficients was designed based on the maximal information coefficient and embedded in the nonnegative garrote (NNG) algorithm constraints to overcome the disadvantage of biased coefficient estimation in this algorithm. Finally, the GRU network input weights are sparsely optimized using the optimized NNG algorithm to eliminate redundant variables and simplify the model structure. A numerical simulation case verifies the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. © 2023 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

Online Data-Driven Model Predictive control for Switched Linear Systems

In this paper, we consider the stabilization problem of switched systems consisting of a limited number of unknown linear subsystems regulated by unknown switching signals. To this end, we first develop a data-driven model predictive control (MPC) scheme with the online input-output trajectory of switched linear systems. Considering the mismatch of the data during the switching interval, the slack variable is introduced to ensure the feasibility of the algorithm. Then, the stability of the switched linear system is analyzed theoretically. The exponential stability of one single subsystem is shown with the existence of the artificial perturbation in the actual control input. We also elucidate the uniformly bounded growth of the system trajectory over the switching interval. Based on these results, we prove that the closed-loop system is exponentially stable, provided the switching signal satisfies the dwell-time condition. Finally, the effectiveness of the control law is demonstrated with the numerical simulation of the aero-engine corrected speed control under different flight conditions. 1963-2012 IEEE.

To enhance the efficiency and accuracy of in-situ crystal image annotation for building up a model to monitor the crystal growth process during cooling crystallization,a deep learning based automatic labeling method is proposed by using the lightweight network *** image segmentation is conducted by the lightweight network Bisenetv2,for which a hyperparameter optimization(HPO) and class balance training strategy is presented to improve the segmentation accuracy on in-situ captured *** trained model is converted into the open neural network exchange(ONNX) format to reduce the implemental dependence on any specific or complex environmental ***,a software package is developed to embed the ONNX format model for ***,a multi-stage image processing algorithm is provided to enhance image quality for analysis,based on the characteristics of in-situ crystal images captured during the crystallization *** algorithms for poorly segmented crystal contours are also designed,resulting in a final mean intersection over union(mIOU) of 0.8216,with the automated annotation process taking approximately 1 second per *** results on in-situ images of β form L-glutamic acid(β-LGA) captured from different batches of crystallization validate the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed method.

This research article considers the design of static output-feedback sliding mode control for Markovian jump systems,in which the attacker may inject false information into the communication channel between the controller and the *** key issue is how to design the feasible sliding mode control law to overcome the effects of unknown and time-varying *** this end,an on-line estimation scheme is introduced to deal with the unknown network attack *** then,a linear sliding surface is constructed based on the measured output information and an outputfeedback sliding mode controller is correspondingly *** is shown that the reachability of the specified sliding surface can be achieved and the asymptotic stability of the closed-loop system can be ensured under the derived sufficient ***,simulation examples are provided to verify the developed static output-feedback sliding mode control strategy.

This paper concerns the stability of switched systems orchestrating between unstable modes. First, a mode partition is applied to select stabilizing switching from the switching between modes from different subsets. Second, a piecewise Lyapunov-like function is applied to decline at stabilizing switching times. Then, the stability criteria build on mode-partition-dependent average dwell time by collecting enough stabilizing switching behavior to stabilize the destabilizing switching behavior and unstable modes. Finally, the simulation verification shows the feasibility and effectiveness of the method. © 2022 The Franklin Institute

Causal reasoning in typical computer vision tasks

Deep learning has revolutionized the field of artificial intelligence. Based on the statistical correlations uncovered by deep learning-based methods, computer vision has contributed to tremendous growth in areas like autonomous driving and robotics. Despite being the basis of deep learning, such correlation is not stable and is susceptible to uncontrolled factors. In the absence of the guidance of prior knowledge, statistical correlations can easily turn into spurious correlations and cause confounders. As a result, researchers are now trying to enhance deep learning methods with causal theory. Causal theory models the intrinsic causal structure unaffected by data bias and is effective in avoiding spurious correlations. This paper aims to comprehensively review the existing causal methods in typical vision and vision-language tasks such as semantic segmentation, object detection, and image captioning. The advantages of causality and the approaches for building causal paradigms will be summarized. Future roadmaps are also proposed, including facilitating the development of causal theory and its application in other complex scenes and systems. Copyright © 2023, The Authors.
