Vector nozzle is an adjustable tail nozzle in aircraft engines. Due to the complex structure and coupling effect of each actuator, the traditional collaborative control methods can hardly achieve the required time synchronization. In this paper, an improved variable deviation collaborative control method is proposed to address such issues, which promotes the synchronization performance of nozzle actuators through an improved deviation coupler. At the same time, an adaptive disturbance rejection controller is used to enhance the robustness of the system. The experimental results show that the error of synchronization time of each actuator in the vector nozzle is less than 5%, and the steady-state error of displacement is less than 1%, which meets the requirement of practical engineering. © 2024 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

Monocular depth estimation based on deep learning: An overview

Depth information is important for autonomous systems to perceive environments and estimate their own state. Traditional depth estimation methods, like structure from motion and stereo vision matching, are built on feature correspondences of multiple viewpoints. Meanwhile, the predicted depth maps are sparse. Inferring depth information from a single image(monocular depth estimation) is an ill-posed problem. With the rapid development of deep neural networks, monocular depth estimation based on deep learning has been widely studied recently and achieved promising performance in accuracy. Meanwhile, dense depth maps are estimated from single images by deep neural networks in an end-to-end manner. In order to improve the accuracy of depth estimation, different kinds of network frameworks, loss functions and training strategies are proposed subsequently. Therefore, we survey the current monocular depth estimation methods based on deep learning in this review. Initially, we conclude several widely used datasets and evaluation indicators in deep learning-based depth estimation. Furthermore, we review some representative existing methods according to different training manners: supervised, unsupervised and semi-supervised. Finally, we discuss the challenges and provide some ideas for future researches in monocular depth estimation.

The cryptomelane-type manganese oxide (OMS-2)-supported Co (x Co/OMS-2;x=5,10,and15 wt.%) catalysts were prepared via a pre-incorporation *** as-prepared materials were used as catalysts for catalytic oxidation of toluene (2000 ppmV).Physical and chemical properties of the catalysts were measured using the X-ray diffraction (XRD),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopic (FT-IR),scanning electron microscopic (SEM),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS),and hydrogen temperature-programmed reduction (H_(2)-TPR)*** all of the catalysts,10Co/OMS-2 performed the best,with the T90%,specific reaction rate at 245℃,and turnover frequency at 245℃ (TOFCo) being 245℃,1.23×10^(-3)moltoluene/(gcat·sec),and 11.58×10^(-3)sec-1for toluene oxidation at a space velocity of 60,000mL/(g·hr),*** excellent catalytic performance of 10Co/OMS-2 were due to more oxygen vacancies,enhanced redox ability and oxygen mobility,and strong synergistic effect between Co species and OMS-2 ***,in the presence of poisoning gases CO_(2),SO_(2)or NH_(3),the activity of 10Co/OMS-2 decreased for the carbonate,sulfate and ammonia species covered the active sites and oxygen vacancies,*** the activation treatment,the catalytic activity was partly *** good low-temperature reducibility of 10Co/OMS-2 could also facilitate the redox process accompanied by the consecutive electron transfer between the adsorbed O_(2)and the cobalt or manganese *** the oxidation process of toluene,the benzoic and aldehydic intermediates werefirst generated,which were further oxidized to the benzoate intermediate that were eventually converted into H_(2)O and CO_(2).

With the widespread use of distributed systems, multi-subspace whole-flow industrial monitoring methods are evolving. However, due to the lack of distinctive features, incipient faults in plant-wide processes are more difficult to detect. To improve the detection rate of incipient faults in plant-wide processes while maintaining the generality of the algorithm, a novel double-layer subspace weighted moving window reconstruction independent component analysis (DS-WRICA) method is proposed. In DS-WRICA, process variables are first divided into different subspaces based on process knowledge and data-driven partitioning methods. Secondly, a weighted moving window is used to increase the offset of incipient faults, and monitoring statistics are constructed by combining optimized reconstructed independent component analysis (RICA) and local outlier factor (LOF) in each subspace. Then, the monitoring statistics in each subspace are fused with information by Bayesian inference fusion method to obtain distributed monitoring results. Finally, the effectiveness and superiority of the DS-WRICA method are verified by industrial examples.

Due to uncertainties in the parameters of the valve-controlled cylinder system and the presence of external disturbances, the force loading performance is compromised, particularly when subjected to extreme conditions involving positional perturbations of the load-bearing system. To tackle this issue, this study presents a robust model predictive control strategy. Initially, a novel linear parameter time-varying system model is developed for precise force loading control of the valve-controlled cylinder, considering both the system's motion characteristics and parameter uncertainties arising from aging and wear. Subsequently, leveraging the proposed robust model predictive controller, we employ linear matrix inequality (LMI) techniques to solve the optimization problem. Through simulation experiments, the effectiveness of the proposed robust control strategy is demonstrated in terms of enhancing force tracking accuracy and ensuring the stability of the force loading system. Additionally, the proposed robust controller exhibits superior performance in attenuating parameter uncertainties and external disturbances. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

To address the issue of precipitation of condensed water in the compressor interstage cooler when the gas turbine is working, we propose a mechanism model to investigate the condensate precipitation based on the gas-liquid phase equilibrium. In the model, the equation of state and the Newton binary iteration method are used to solve the gas-liquid equilibrium equation, and the water content at the outlet of the interstage cooler is calculated. The thermodynamic formula based on saturated vapor density is used to calculate the water content at the compressor inlet. Finally, the amount of condensed water in the interstage cooler is obtained according to the law of conservation of matter. The experimental results show that the relative error is less than 1.5% which confirms the computational accuracy of the mechanism model. © 2022 IEEE.

Anti-swelling mechanism of DMDACC on weathered crust elution-deposited rare earth ore

In order to inhibit the swelling of the clay minerals in the in-situ leaching process of weathered crust elution-deposited rare earth ores(WCE-DREO),diallyl dimethyl ammonium chloride(DMDACC)was introduced as an anti-swelling agent and combined with(NH_(4))_(2)SO_(4)as a novel composite leaching *** can be found that the novel composite leaching agent exhibits a good anti-swelling performance and leaching capacity of rare earth,and has great potential on the actual exploitation of *** antiswelling mechanism of DMDACC was studied by characterization *** results show that DMDACC with positive charges can be adsorbed on the clay particles by the electrostatic attraction and hydrogen bonds,and neutralize the negative charge of the clay *** double electrical layers are suppressed and the repulsion force between clay sheets *** causes the clay particles prone to ***,DMDACC can enter the interlayer and expel out the water molecules in *** interlayer spacing is decreased and the hydration swelling of the clay particles is *** can provide a theoretical basis for the development of novel anti-swelling agents.

Efficient removal of tetracycline by H_(2)O_(2) activated with iron-doped biochar: Performance, mechanism, and degradation pathways

In this study,novel iron-doped biochar(Fe-BC) was produced using a simple method,and it was used as an H_(2)O_(2)activator for tetracycline(TC) ***,iron loading can improve the separation performance and reactivity of biochar(BC).In the Fe-BC/H_(2)O_(2)system,92% of the TC was removed within 30 min with the apparent rate constant(k_(obs)) of 0.155 min^(-1),which was 23.85 times that in the case of the BC/H_(2)O_(2)system(0.0065 min^(-1)).The effects of the H_(2)O_(2) and Fe-BC dosage,initial pH,and TC concentration on the TC removal were *** radical quenching and electron paramagnetic resonance(EPR) measurements demonstrated that the removal of TC using the Fe-BC/H_(2)O_(2)process involved both radical(^(*)OH and O_(2)^(-)) and non-radical pathways(^(1)O_(2) and electron transfer).In addition,the performance of the catalyst was also affected by the persistent free radicals(PFRs) and defective sites on the ***,the degradation pathways of TC were proposed according to the intermediate products detected by LC-MS and the ecotoxicity of intermediates was ***,the Fe-BC/H_(2)O_(2)showed high resistance to inorganic anions and natural organic matter in aquatic ***,Fe-BC is expected to be an economic and highly efficient heterogeneous Fenton catalyst for removing the organic contaminants in wastewater.

The leakage of hazardous gases poses a significant threat to public security and causes environmental *** effective and accurate source term estimation(STE)is necessary when a leakage accident ***,most research generally assumes that no obstacles exist near the leak source,which is inappropriate in practical *** solve this problem,we propose two different frameworks to emphasize STE with obstacles based on artificial neural network(ANN)and convolutional neural network(CNN).Firstly,we build a CFD model to simulate the gas diffusion in obstacle scenarios and construct a benchmark ***,we define the structure of ANN by searching,then predict the concentration distribution of gas using the searched model,and optimize source term parameters by particle swarm optimization(PSO)with well-performed cost ***,we propose a one-step STE method based on CNN,which establishes a link between the concentration distribution and the location of ***,we propose a novel data processing method to process sensor data,which maps the concentration information into feature *** comprehensive experiments illustrate the performance and efficiency of the proposed methods.
