As the important secondary energy in iron and steel enterprises, the reasonable selection of scheduling model and optimization method of gas is significant for the reduction of gas diffusion and the increase of economic benefits. Considering the production status of an iron and steel enterprise in Hebei Province, a gas scheduling model is derived. Based on this model, a relatively optimal scheduling strategy is given by using simplex method optimization algorithm.

A revised quantum-behaved particle swarm optimization (RQPSO) with novel iterative equation is proposed, which uses hybrid of double exponential and normal probability distributions to sample the particle's position. The RQPSO is applied to medical image registration and the performance comparison testifies that it outperforms the PSO and QPSO algorithms on the tested image registration problems.

In recent years, fault prediction method, which means forecast process fault in an early time based on the current condition of the system, has attracted more and more attention by companies and scientists. However, it still has many problems in this area, especially for its application in industrial process. In the present work, a multi-step ahead fault prediction method combining principle component analysis, empirical mode decomposition and extreme learning machine are developed to realize early prediction of fault. The application of the presented method is illustrated with respect to simulated data collected from the Tennessee Eastman process. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Statistically motivated approaches for the registration and tracking of non-rigid objects, such as the Active Appearance Model (AAM), have become increasing popular by virtue of their fast and efficient modeling and alignment, but typically they require tedious manual annotation of training images. In this paper, a regression based approach for the automatic annotation of profile face image from a single annotated frontal image is presented. This approach initially finds the correspondence between frontal and profile images with balanced graph matching, and then learns the spatial relation between scattered correspondence and the structured one. The approach is experimentally validated by automatically annotate a set of testing images with a face in arbitrary poses.

This paper is concerned with lag synchronization of two coupled delayed systems with parameter mismatch. Due to parameter mismatch, complete lag synchronization can not be achieved. Therefore, a new lag quasi-synchronization scheme is proposed to ensure that coupled systems are in a state of lag synchronization with an error level. Several simple criteria are derived and the error level is estimated by applying a generalized Halanary inequality and matrix measure. Three examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed lag quasi-synchronization scheme. It is shown that as the coupling strength increases, the estimated error level is close to the simulated one, which well supports theoretical results.

A two-stage game model is set up based on the assumptions on biomass distribution and structure of collection cost to analyze parameters of equilibrium, such as unit transportation cost, and profit spaces. To satisfy high accuracy and speed requirement, a kind of Active Disturbance Rejection control (ADRC) solution is proposed according to the complexity of Monitor Finishing Automatic Width control (FAWC) system with large time-delay for hot strip mill. In order to improve the versatility of ADRC parameters, a unit gain was added in the loop. Based on the simplified model, the presented ADRC consists of linear functions which make it easier to realize. For applying ADRC algorithms conveniently and widely, the control system is implemented in Scilab/Xcos, which is one of an Open-source Software for Scientific Computation (OSSC) and is free of charge. According to the program of data exchanging between Xocs and Scilab, Xcos simulation can be carried out in batch processing in Scilab. The disturbances rejection and robustness of the proposed control method is verified by ADRC simulation toolbox in Scilab/Xcos.

Nowadays, decision tree is widely used as one of the most powerful tools in data mining. However, to construct an optimization decision tree is a complete NP problem. So a new method about how to construct decision tree, which is based on association rule mining, is proposed in this paper. Firstly, approximate exact rule with high reliability is defined. Secondly new attributes are generated from the approximate exact rule. And then its evaluation method is discussed in detail. Thirdly, the decision tree is constructed with both the new generated attributes and its original data. Finally, after comprehensive analysis, experimental results show that this new method has higher accuracy than any other old method.

To ensure the quality of network service, we need for an effective service fault management mechanism to monitor fault, analyze the reasons of failure and recover measures taken as soon as possible. In this paper, we use bipartite graph to represent the probability of dependency, which simplifies the modeling process and reduces the diagnosis complexity. For the fault localization algorithm, fault detection rate and fault localization time are the two most important performances, and the Incremental Hypothesis Updating Algorithm (IHU) can reach more than 90% in accuracy rate, but the fault localization time is too long. For this problem, we proposed a fast fault localization algorithm (FIHU). Simulation results show that the FIHU has significantly performance than the IHU algorithm in fault localization time, and has higher fault detection rate.
