Non-intrusive Load Monitoring (NILM) represents a cost-efficient technological advancement in meticulously monitoring electricity consumption patterns. However, external noise interference in practical load identification poses challenges for accurate monitoring. To address this, a multi-task learning framework is proposed, concurrently tackling load identification and signal de-noising. To extract effective information from load signals, a novel feature representation called variational mode decomposition-instantaneous amplitude (VMD-IA) was introduced. To ensure optimal performance across the different tasks, a multi-gate mixture of expert architecture (MMOE) module is integrated into the proposed model. The proposed approach was evaluated on a self-collected load dataset, as well as public NILM datasets. The experimental results indicate that the proposed model outperforms state-of-the-art methods in all tasks. © 2024 IEEE.

This article studies the adaptive optimal output regulation problem for a class of interconnected singularly perturbed systems(SPSs) with unknown dynamics based on reinforcement learning(RL).Taking into account the slow and fast characteristics among system states,the interconnected SPS is decomposed into the slow time-scale dynamics and the fast timescale dynamics through singular perturbation *** the fast time-scale dynamics with interconnections,we devise a decentralized optimal control strategy by selecting appropriate weight matrices in the cost *** the slow time-scale dynamics with unknown system parameters,an off-policy RL algorithm with convergence guarantee is given to learn the optimal control strategy in terms of measurement *** combining the slow and fast controllers,we establish the composite decentralized adaptive optimal output regulator,and rigorously analyze the stability and optimality of the closed-loop *** proposed decomposition design not only bypasses the numerical stiffness but also alleviates the *** efficacy of the proposed methodology is validated by a load-frequency control application of a two-area power system.

Vibration control of the Rail Grinding Vehicle with Abrasive Belt Based on Structural optimization and Lightweight Design

As a new grinding and maintenance technology,rail belt grinding shows significant advantages in many applications The dynamic characteristics of the rail belt grinding vehicle largely determines its grinding performance and service *** order to explore the vibration control method of the rail grinding vehicle with abrasive belt,the vibration response changes in structural optimization and lightweight design are respectively analyzed through transient response and random vibration simulations in this ***,the transient response simulation analysis of the rail grinding vehicle with abrasive belt is carried out under operating conditions and non-operating ***,the vibration control of the grinding vehicle is implemented by setting vibration isolation elements,optimizing the structure,and increasing ***,in order to further explore the dynamic characteristics of the rail grinding vehicle,the random vibration simulation analysis of the grinding vehicle is carried out under the condition of the horizontal irregularity of the American AAR6 ***,by replacing the Q235 steel frame material with 7075 aluminum alloy and LA43M magnesium alloy,both vibration control and lightweight design can be achieved *** results of transient dynamic response analysis show that the acceleration of most positions in the two working conditions exceeds the standard value in GB/T 17426-1998 *** optimizing the structure of the grinding vehicle in three ways,the average vibration acceleration of the whole car is reduced by about 55.1%from 15.6 m/s^(2) to 7.0 m/s^(2).The results of random vibration analysis show that the grinding vehicle with Q235 steel frame does not meet the safety conditions of 3σ.By changing frame material,the maximum vibration stress of the vehicle can be reduced from 240.7 MPa to 160.0 MPa and the weight of the grinding vehicle is reduced by about 21.7%from 1500 kg to 1175 *** modal analysis results indic

Aiming at the complex field environment of dense medium separation process and the large amount of matrix inversion calculation in the traditional PI-GPC solution process, an adaptive stepped generalized predictive control method with proportional-integral structure (PI-ASGPC-LESO) based on active disturbance rejection strategy is proposed. Considering the large amount of calculation when PI-GPC solves the optimal control rate, an adaptive step factor dependent on the system adjustment error is introduced to constrain the change of the control amount, which reduces the amount of calculation in the solution process. In view of the complex on-site environment of dense medium separation and the large interference in the system, LESO is added to the loop to suppress external disturbances and compensate the unmodeled error of the system. In order to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method, a comparative experiment with traditional PI-GPC and PI-GPC-LESO was designed with the dense medium separation system of a coal preparation plant as the control object. The experimental results show that the proposed method effectively improves the dynamic performance of the system, with shorter adjustment time, smaller overshoot, and stronger anti-interference ability. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper investigates a distributed convex optimization problem for multi-agent systems over time-varying directed communication topologies. To explore this problem, the differential inclusion strategy is used to model the time-varying situation, and the average dwell-time automaton and the time-ratio monitor are utilized to constrain the switching law. Ground on these constraints and using the Lyapunov stability analysis method, our proposed algorithm converges exponentially to the optimal solution over time-varying digraphs. Finally, some simulation results are reported to illustrate the proposed algorithm. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

This paper investigates the distributed state estimation problem for a linear time-invariant system characterized by fading measurements and random link failures. We assume that the fading effect of the measurements occurs slowly. Additionally, communication failures between sensors can affect the state estimation performance. To this end, we propose a Kalman filtering algorithm composed of a structural data fusion stage and a signal date fusion stage. The number of communications can be decreased by executing signal data fusion when a global estimate is required. Then, we investigate the stability conditions for the proposed distributed approach. Furthermore, we analyze the mismatch between the estimation generated by the proposed distributed algorithm and that obtained by the centralized Kalman filter. Lastly, numerical results verify the feasibility of the proposed distributed method. © 2023 The Franklin Institute
