With the rapid development of online education around world, it becomes difficult for teachers to evaluate the effect of learning during the online class. To solve this problem, an attention detection system based on gaze estimation using self-supervised learning is proposed. Self-supervised learning is used to train the gaze estimation network and it achieved an average gaze angle error of 6. 5∘ on the MPIIFaceGaze dataset. Cross dataset testing was performed by 5 test subjects in the RT-GENE dataset and all samples in the Columbia dataset, in which achieved average gaze angle error 13. 8∘ and 5. 5∘. It is found that the network has good cross dataset generalization performance, but it is susceptible to factors such as feature occlusion and low image clarity. Then, we developed an attention detection system which has functions of unmanned detection, eye state detection, and gaze detection. Online classroom experiments were conducted to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method, in which the average accuracy of the detection of distraction is around 60%. © 2024, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

A new type of weak signal detection system that combines the memristor and Van der pol-Duffing chaotic system has been proposed in this paper, and the dynamic characteristics of the system are studied. It is observed that the system can change from a chaotic state to a periodic state under different driving force amplitudes. Moreover, as compared with several classical chaotic oscillators, the numerical simulation results show that the system has stronger anti-noise performance with the detectable signal-to-noise ratio reaches -163dB, and has a wider detection range. Its detection accuracy is up to 1 × 10−9. More importantly, this paper provides the circuit implementation scheme of the system, and the weak signal can be detected with our designed circuit. This may offer a possible way for weak signal detection system with good performance in anti-noise performance, detection range and accuracy. © 2021, CC BY.

This paper concerns with the exponential stability of delayed neural networks via Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional (LKF) method. Initially, an improved augmented delay-product-type LKF containing an additional double integral state is established, which introduces more delayed states and has less conservatism. In the LKF's derivative, the function has high order of delay due to the existence of exponent. Thus, in order to obtain tractable linear matrix inequalities, three state vectors are used to reduce the order of the function to cubic. Secondly, to achieve the negative-definiteness requirement, a negative-determination lemma for cubic functions with less conservatism is employed. Then, a less conservative delay-dependent stability criterion for neural networks with time-varying delays is established. Finally, the validity of the proposed delay-dependent stability criterion is illustrated by two numerical examples.

Prompt detection of bit bounce can prevent serious incidents and is of great importance for safe and efficient deep geological drilling. In the early stage of bit bounce, signal changes are relatively weak. In addition, there are differences in the topological relationships of samples at different time instances in normal state and bit bounce. These factors present a challenge to timely and accurate bit bounce detection. Therefore, this paper proposes a bit bounce detection method based on multi-feature graph and graph convolution networks. A multi-feature graph construction method using process variables, mean value, Mahalanobis distance, and Euclidean distance is proposed, and a two-layer graph convolutional network is designed to realize deep feature extraction and incident detection. The effectiveness and superiority of the proposed method are demonstrated by a real drilling industrial case.

This paper is concerned with $H_{\infty}$ performance analysis of aperiodic sampled-data systems by employing the input delay approach. Firstly, a novel augmented looped-functional (ALF) is presented under the double-side looped-functional technique, which considers coupled relationships among state vectors more fully than the current ones. Then, by using the Bessel-Legendre inequality to estimate the derivative of the ALF, a stability criterion is derived in the form of linear matrix inequalities. Finally, a numerical example demonstrates the effectiveness and the advantages of the proposed criterion by comparing it with the existing ones.

This paper is concerned with the stability of discrete-time networked control systems with network induced delay and malicious packet dropout. Firstly, network induced delay and malicious packet dropout are analyzed, and the data packet dropout is converted into the change rate of time delay. Secondly, the functional of time delay and change rate of time delay is constructed, and some summation terms are generated when calculating the functional forward difference. Moreover, the auxiliary-function-based summation inequality and reciprocally convex matrix inequality are used to estimate the resulting summation terms. Then, a less conservative stability criterion for discrete networked systems with network delay and data packet loss is established. Finally, the validity of the proposed stability criterion is illustrated by a numerical example.

This article investigates a fractional-order coupled Hindmarsh-Rose neural networks model. Firstly, the existence and stability of an equilibrium point in the system are verified. Then, the periodic bifurcation behavior of the system on a two-parameter plane is studied, and numerical simulations show the existence of both non -chaotic and chaotic plus periodic bifurcation behavior on the two-parameter plane. Finally, a feedback controller was designed to stabilize the bifurcation point of the delayed system and increase the stable range of the system.

A new Gaussian approximate (GA) filter for nonlinear systems with one-step randomly delayed measurement and correlated noise is proposed in this paper. Firstly, a general framework of Gaussian filter is designed under Gaussian assumption on the conditional density. Then, the implementation of Gaussian filter is transformed into the approximation of the Gaussian weighted integral in the proposed frame. Secondly, a new cubature Kalman filtering(CKF)algorithm is developed on the basis of the spherical-radial cubature rule. The efficiency and superiority of the proposed method are illustrated in the numerical examples.

Fluxgate sensors are widely used in the field of low frequency and weak vector magnetic field measurement because of their good performance, such as high resolution and low power consumption. However, during the long-term continuous observation, the drift errors of the fluxgate sensor will occur due to the variable ambient temperature. This paper proposes a temperature compensation method for fluxgate sensors based on polynomial fitting. First, a physical model of the temperature & fluxgate sensor was established on the COMSOL Multiphysics simulation platform, and the influence of temperature on the measurement performance of the fluxgate sensor was analyzed. Second, according to the existing temperature-magnetic field data, a temperature compensation model of the fluxgate sensor was constructed. And compared it with other temperature compensation method, the result shows that the proposed temperature compensation method is relatively simple and can better achieve real-time compensation for sensor application scenarios. Finally, to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method, numerous laboratory experiments were *** temperature drift is reduced from more than 500 nT before compensation to about 1 nT. The results show that the proposed method has a good temperature compensation effect on the data measured by the fluxgate sensor within a variable temperature background. In this paper, a multi-feature extraction-based image identification method for rock debris in the drilling process is proposed, involving three main parts (trainable feature extractor, strong feature extraction, and classification). In trainable feature extractor, abstract features are obtained by extracting the full connection layer of Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). In strong feature extraction, the method uses Gray-Level Co-occurrence Matrix (GLCM) and Color Coherence Vector (CCV) to get the strong feature. In classification, the extracted abstract features and strong features are concatenated and fed into the Support Vector Machine (SVM). Comparison results with two well-known methods indicated the effectiveness of the proposed method.
