Flight control system testing (FCST) is one of the most important testing during aircraft final assembly, however, traditional testing method highly rely on manual labor, resulting in low testing quality and efficiency. Targeting at improving the testing quality and efficiency, in this paper, we apply digtial twin (DT) technology in the FCST process for the first time. A virtual experimental platform named DT-FCST is constructed which is identical to a real wing experimental platform, supporting testing elements management and physical-virtual mapping experiments. The development process of the DT-FCST platform is detailed. Several experiments are conducted to demonstrate the effectiveness of DT technology. Based on motion scripts integrating real-time data from the cockpit, the cockpit control sticks and flight control surfaces are driven to achieve consistency between physical and virtual motions. With the help of DT technology, the entire movement process of control sticks and flight control surfaces are mapped with high fidelity in the DT-FCST platform, greatly enhancing the testing efficiency and monitoring quality. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper examines the cluster consensus problem of higher-order interaction networks on switching networks. The matrix-valued inter-agent coupling mechanism is employed to capture the higher-order interactions amongst neighboring agents. Specifically, for a higher-order interaction network with both positive definite and positive semi-definite coupling matrices, we examine the scenario in which the nullspace of positive semi-definite coupling matrices is constructed by a set of orthogonal basis vectors. From the perspective of the lower-order component graph -the projection of network structure onto the direction of each orthogonal basis-results on the explicit characterization of cluster consensus of higher-order interaction networks are provided. Moreover, for time-varying higher-order interaction networks, necessary and sufficient conditions are provided to ensure that a time-varying network shares the same steady-state values as the integral time-invariant network. Simulation results are provided to demonstrate the theory. © 2024 IEEE.

In the power system, due to the instability of the external environment, safe and stable operation cannot always be guaranteed, as it frequently encounters varying degrees of external disturbances. In order to mitigate the effects of these disturbances on the system, the power system can operate safely and stably, In this paper, a power system load frequency control (LFC) based on Equivalent Input Disturbance (EID) method is proposed from the perspective of active disturbance suppression. Firstly, the disturbances present in the environment are unified as external disturbances, and then a single area the electric power system model with external disturbance was constructed. Then, a controller algorithm based on EID was designed using EID equivalent processing method and linear matrix inequality method to address the issue of external interference in the power system. Finally, a numerical example is used to validate the effectiveness and accuracy of the controller by simulating with two aspects, fixed perturbation and random perturbation, respectively. © 2024 IEEE.

During the flight control system testing (FCST), it is crucial to accurately measure the deflection angles of flight control surfaces to determine whether they respond precisely to commands. However, the traditional measurement method, which relies on the manual use of angle measuring rulers for inspections, is inefficient, prone to wear, and lacks precision. To address this issue, we introduce a vision-based angle measurement method for FCST that replaces manual measurements, thereby significantly enhancing testing efficiency and accuracy. Our proposed triangular mesh alignment based angle measurement algorithm (TMA-AM) is a non-contact measurement method that involves two key procedures, capturing 3D coordinates from images and calculating deflection angles. The TMA-AM algorithm converts deflected angles into angular differences between two coordinate systems, while accounting for the curved characteristics of control surfaces. We evaluate TMA-AM algorithm on a 3D-printed wing test platform and an aircraft wing test platform. Experimental results demonstrate that our method achieves high accuracy, with an average angular measurement error below 0.05◦ © 2024 IEEE.

A growing number of works have investigated inferring the topology of networked dynamical systems from observations, such as to better understand the system behaviour. Despite the tremendous advances, most of them require the observations to be abundant. This paper focuses on inferring the topology by injecting single excitation on a node and collecting several steps of noisy observations. The problem is challenging because the noises cannot be depressed in several observations and are mixed with the injected excitation, making it hard to directly reveal the topology. To practice, we develop a probabilistic method based on the hypothesis test framework. First, we infer the neighbors that are within h-hop of the excited node and derive the accuracy guarantees. Then, we extend the method to infer the exact h-hop neighbors. A computable lower bound for the accuracy probability is established to provide confidence support in the inference procedures. Furthermore, we give the conditions of excitation input to ensure a desired inference probability, which provides guidance for the input design. Numerical simulations are conducted to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method. © 2024 IEEE.

Aviation electrical connectors are critically important components in electrical wiring interconnection systems. Currently, connector defect detection relies entirely on manual inspection, which is error-prone and time-consuming. Due to the unique structural characteristics of aviation connectors, single-modality sensors often struggle to simultaneously detect both pins and holes. To address this issue, we propose a 3D skewed pins detection (3D-SPD) algorithm that integrates both 2D and 3D modals features. Due to the low quality of the raw connector data, we propose a connector point cloud enhancement (CPCE) algorithm that combines multi-view point clouds for point cloud fusion enhancement. Based on enhanced data, we perform skewed pin detection. Experimental results indicate that CPCE and 3D-SPD are effective in detecting skewed pins, achieving an accuracy rate exceeding 99%. Our algorithm can be deployed as an AI assistant on the edge device for the skewed pin detection. © 2024 IEEE.

Magnesium alloys with excellent degradability and biocompatibility are promising materials for biomedical implants,saving patients the burden of second ***,their mechanical properties and corrosion resistance are significantly below the requirements for implant *** study aims to improve the mechanical and corrosion resistance properties of Mg-3Zn-0.2Ca alloy by pre-torsion treatment,and find out the optimal shear *** rod-shaped Mg-3Zn-0.2Ca alloy specimens were pre-torsion treated at different torsion *** effect of free-end torsion on Mg-3Zn-0.2Ca alloy was characterized through microstructure analysis,mechanical testing,and corrosion ***-torsion treatment can refine grain and induce twins and dislocations in Mg-3Zn-0.2Ca *** surface hardness increases with the increase in torsion *** yield strength and ultimate strength initially increase and then decrease with increasing torsion angle,while ductility decreases with increasing torsion *** with a shear strain of 30%exhibit the highest tensile strength,reaching 284.78±10.62 MPa,with an elongation of 19.37±1.66%.Furthermore,they show a significant improvement in fatigue lives both before and after *** the stress amplitude is 120 MPa,the fatigue lives for specimens without pre-torsion treatment are 54,275 cycles and 4324 cycles before and after pre-corrosion,while they increased significantly to 92,015 cycles and 5050 cycles with the 30%shear strain,***,the 30%shear strain specimens show a significant reduction in corrosion *** conclusion,pre-torsion treatment can effectively modify the microstructure of Mg-3Zn-0.2Ca alloy,enhancing both mechanical properties and corrosion *** optimal shear strain for this improvement is 30%.This study provides a practical method to enhance the mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of Mg-3Zn-0.2Ca alloy,making it more suitable for biomedical implan

In the practical application of Brillouin optical time-domain reflectometry (BOTDR) in temperature and strain monitoring, enhancing measurement speed remains a critical challenge. This paper presents a novel method for Brillouin frequency shift (BFS) estimation utilizing level set and digital elevation modeling (DEM). The algorithm demonstrates superior time efficiency. At the same time, the accuracy of the scheme is proved in the comparation experiment and correlation analysis. The method reduces computational time, without spatial resolution or measurement error degradation. © 2025 SPIE.

This paper considers the problem of approximating the infinite-horizon value function of the discrete-time switched LQR *** particular,the authors propose a new value iteration method to generate a sequence of monotonically decreasing functions that converges exponentially to the value *** method facilitates us to use coarse approximations resulting from faster but less accurate algorithms for further value iteration,and thus,the proposed approach is capable of achieving a better approximation for a given computation time compared with the existing *** numerical examples are presented in this paper to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Aircraft final assembly line(AFAL)involves thousands of processes that must be completed before ***,the heavy reliance on manual labor in most assembly processes affects the quality and prolongs the delivery *** the advent of artificial intelligence of things(AIoT)technologies has introduced advancements in certain AFAL scenarios,systematically enhancing the intelligence level of the AFAL and promoting the widespread deployment of artificial intelligence(AI)technologies remain significant *** address these challenges,we propose the intelligent and collaborative aircraft assembly(ICAA)framework,which integrates AI technologies within a cloud-edge-terminal *** ICAA framework is designed to support AI-enabled applications in the AFAL,with the goal of improving assembly efficiency at both individual and multiple process *** analyze specific demands across various assembly scenarios and introduce corresponding AI technologies to meet these *** three-tier ICAA framework consists of the assembly field,edge data platform,and assembly cloud platform,facilitating the collection of heterogeneous terminal data and the deployment of AI *** framework enhances assembly efficiency by reducing reliance on manual labor for individual processes and fostering collaboration across multiple *** provide detailed descriptions of how AI functions at each level of the ***,we apply the ICAA framework to a real AFAL,focusing explicitly on the flight control system testing *** practical implementation demonstrates the effectiveness of the framework in improving assembly efficiency and promoting the adoption of AIoT technologies.
