With the pervasive integration of artificial intelligence into all aspects of human life, talent emerges as a primary resource. Upon analysing the current state of talent training in higher education institutions, issues such as dispersed knowledge points, overlapping content, a singular practice approach and ineffective evaluation have been identified. In response to these challenges, this paper proposes a multidisciplinary and comprehensive practical teaching methodology grounded in the knowledge graph framework. It delves into diverse paths for practical teaching and assessment, including aspects like teaching objectives, problem decomposition, resource integration, implementation methods and performance evaluation. The practical application of the SSD algorithm in researching service robot indoor object detection serves as an illustrative example. Employing the holistic practical teaching approach facilitated by the knowledge graph, this model guides students in acquiring object detection expertise, thereby enhancing their comprehensive development. In the process of coal mine drilling,controlling the rotary speed is important as it determines the efficiency and safety of *** this paper,a linear extended state observer(LESO)based backstepping controller for rotary speed is proposed,which can overcome the impact of changes in coal seam hardness on rotary ***,the influence of coal seam hardness on the drilling rig’s rotary system is considered for the first time,which is reflected in the numerical variation of load torque,and a dynamic model for the design of rotary speed controller is *** an LESO is designed to observe the load torque,and feedforward compensation is carried out to overcome the influence of coal seam *** on the model of the compensated system,a backstepping method is used to design a controller to achieve tracking control of the rotary ***,the effectiveness of the controller designed in this paper is demonstrated through simulation and field experiments,the steady-state error of the rotary speed in field is 1 r/min,and the overshoot is reduced to 5.8%.This greatly improves the stability and security,which is exactly what the drilling process requires.

The control of ultrafast optical field is of great interest in developing ultrafast optics as well as the investigation on vari-ous light-matter interactions with ultrashort ***,conventional spatial encoding approaches have only lim-ited steerable targets usually neglecting the temporal effect,thus hindering their broad *** we present a new concept for realizing ultrafast modulation of multi-target focal fields based on the facile combination of time-depend-ent vectorial diffraction theory with fast Fourier *** is achieved by focusing femtosecond pulsed light carrying vectorial-vortex by a single objective lens under tight focusing *** is uncovered that the ultrafast temporal de-gree of freedom within a configurable temporal duration(~400 fs)plays a pivotal role in determining the rich and exotic features of the focused optical field at one time,namely,bright-dark alternation,periodic rotation,and longitudinal/trans-verse polarization *** underlying control mechanisms have been *** being of academic in-terest in diverse ultrafast spectral regimes,these peculiar behaviors of the space-time evolutionary beams may underpin prolific ultrafast-related applications such as multifunctional integrated optical chip,high-efficiency laser trapping,micro-structure rotation,super-resolution optical microscopy,precise optical measurement,and liveness tracking.

Under the current general trend of the power industry's transformation towards clean energy, wind power generation, as an important form of renewable energy utilization, is steadily increasing its proportion in the power system. However, the inherent volatility and uncertainty of wind power bring numerous challenges to the stable operation of the power system. Firstly, based on the traditional unit commitment model, this paper comprehensively considers the capacity reserve and ramping reserve of the power system, and constructs a unit commitment model that considers the supply and demand constraints of both types of reserves simultaneously. Then, on the basis of this model, an in-depth and comprehensive discussion is carried out, focusing on the key operation strategy of the active power curtailment operation of wind power. This not only helps to improve the power system's ability to accommodate wind power, but also enables a better response to the challenges of volatility and uncertainty brought by wind power to the power system, thus ensuring the safe, stable and economic operation of the power system. Finally, the model is transformed into a mixed-integer linear programming model that can be directly called by the commercial solver CPLEX, and the effectiveness of the model is verified by a modified IEEE 26-node distribution network.

Synchronously realizing high spatial resolution and precise location for fiber fault attenuation event detection

Attenuation events are common fault types in optical fiber links, which are very important to identify and accurately locate them with high resolution. However, research on achieving high spatial resolution for fiber fault event localization in the field of optical time-domain reflectometry (OTDR) mainly focuses on reflection events; the precise identification of attenuation events is rarely reported. A chaotic OTDR technique based on attenuation extraction-correlation compression integrative demodulation (AECCID) is proposed to realize high spatial resolution and high-precision localization of attenuation events in optical fiber links. The positioning process and principle of AECCID are analyzed and verified by simulation. The location and length of the attenuation event are precisely recognized according to the demodulated positions of the two correlation peaks. The spatial resolution is only determined by the full width at half maximum (FWHM) of the autocorrelation curve of chaotic lasers, which breaks through the limitation of wide pulse width on spatial resolution. The proof-of-concept experimental results show that when the pulse width is 1 μs and the detector bandwidth is 130 MHz, the spatial resolution is improved from 100 m to 0.87 m compared with conventional single-pulse OTDR.

The widespread integration of renewable energy presents significant challenges for power system scheduling. Traditional power system scheduling is mainly based on the concept of “coordinating on a multi-time-level and gradually refining at each level,” using a sequential scheduling framework. However, with the growing integration of renewable energy, the uncertainty in power systems has significantly increased, leading to severe issues such as conflicts in the coordination between different modules. This paper first introduces the scheduling framework of the traditional sequential scheduling model. Then, addressing the problems of module coordination and insufficient flexibility, an integrated multi-time-scale scheduling model is proposed. This model combines day-ahead and intraday scheduling models, optimizing decision variables including unit start/shut states, operation points, and reserves simultaneously to maximize the collaborative potential between different scheduling modules. After linearization, the proposed model is converted into a mixed-integer linear programming (MILP) model, which can be solved directly using commercial optimization solvers. Finally, case analyses demonstrate the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed integrated model compared to the traditional sequential scheduling model.

As very important controllers in automated factories, the correctness and safety of Programmable Logic controller (PLC) and their programs determine the stability of the production process. Structured Text (ST) is one of the most widely used PLC programming languages. However, there are not enough formal semantics and different venders may have their own implementations. In this work, a visual executable semantic model ST-Petri for ST has been proposed. The model uses Petri nets to formally represent ST semantics while using graphs to visualise program control flow. To validate the correctness of the semantic model, we use programs from Github and mutations of existing source programs as a test set to execute and compare the results with the open source OpenPLC platform. Experimental results show that ST-Petri has significant advantages in terms of compilation pass rate and error indication as a semantic model and a ST program compiler. © 2024 IEEE.

Network resilience generally refers to the ability of a network to maintain normal operation in the face of various failures and disturbances, which has many applications in social, financial, communication, and transportation systems. There is a large amount of research on designing strategies to disrupt the network from the perspective of attack and to protect the network from the defense standpoint. However, attacks and defenses in the real world often occur simultaneously and repeatedly. The study of network resilience should not be limited to the structural characteristics but should consider the functional characteristics of the network. We develop a general game-theoretic framework to study attack-defense repeated interactions on complex networks and examine the possibility of achieving precise control over the payoffs of attackers and defenders. Our findings reveal that neither the attacker nor the defender can unilaterally control their own payoff, the opponent’s payoff, or any linear combination thereof. This work highlights the limitations of unilateral payoff control in real-world interaction scenarios, a consideration often overlooked in numerous theoretical studies. © 2024 IEEE.

In this paper, a bearing-based containment control problem of multi-agent systems with disturbances is studied. The nonlinearity of the bearing results in the existence of nonlinear time-varying parameters in the closed-loop system. When the leaders are stationary, under the sufficient conditions on the disturbances and the connectivity of the directed sensing graph, the boundedness of the nonlinear time-varying parameters is rigorously proved, with which it is shown that the containment error converges to zero asymptotically. When the leaders are moving, by using the properties of the bearing and the projection, it is proved that the containment error is uniformly ultimately bounded and can be reduced by adjusting the edge weight. Numerical examples illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed controller. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

In industrial sites, multiple real-time control systems often share computing resources. However, burst computing tasks may lead to the random dropping of control computing subtasks, resulting in control failures and potential hazards. To address this issue, we propose an energy-efficient safety-aware task scheduling scheme based on mixed-integer programming. When burst computing tasks are triggered, this scheduling scheme adaptively releases resources from low-criticality control computing subtasks and adjusts the processor speed based on the dynamic voltage and frequency scaling technology (DVFS), ensuring the timely completion of burst computing tasks and keeping the control system state deviation within a safe threshold. To achieve the scheduling scheme, we propose an efficient algorithm called EESASA. Simulation results show that EESASA can minimize the overall cost of control and processor energy while ensuring the safety of the control system and the timely completion of burst computing tasks. © 2024 IEEE.
