As the converter-based renewable power generation has been extensively integrated into grid, the transient synchronizing stability accidents of gird induced by voltage source convert (VSC) are emerging more and more frequently and severely. In this paper, the transient synchronizing dynamics of the VSC are depicted by a reduced-order model. Then, its transient synchronizing stability is examined and analyzed by the large-signal basin of attraction (BOA) of the VSC. The system shows two kinds of boundaries of the BOA under different parameters, including the closed-loop area and the fish-like area. The boundary of the closed-loop area is depicted by the equipotential plane estimation based on the energy function. The boundary of the fish-like area is estimated through the method of hyperplane in the first quadrant. Meanwhile, the transient synchronizing stability criteria can be established based on the estimated boundaries and the numerically integral fault trajectories. Furthermore, the critical clearing angle (CCA) is analytical calculated through the analytically derived fault trajectory under the worst fault conditions. Meanwhile, the critical clearing times (CCT) can also be analytical calculated. Both the analytical CCA and CCT can provide enough margin for the transient control and protection. Finally, several simulations have verified the effectiveness and accuracy of the proposed method in MATLAB.

The existing directional pilot protection (DPP) is susceptible to the line distributed capacitance and the fault resistance, and mostly rely on the current limiting reactance (CLR) at the line ends. To solve the above problems, the line-mode fault component power (LFCP) based DPP is proposed for flexible DC distribution grid (FDCDG). First, the characters of LFCP are discussed under different faults. The theoretical analysis show that the polarity of the LFCP under internal fault is same, while the polarity of the LFCP is opposite under external fault. Then, the LFCP is built as the directional criterion, and the corresponding protection scheme is constructed. The electromagnetic transient simulations of the PSCAD/EMTDC verify that the proposed DPP is less affected by the noise, and has low requirement on the sampling rate, strong engineering applicability.

SLAM is significant to autonomous mobile robots. In order to realize drift-free state estimation and provide accurate localization results for the subsequent navigation, we develop an optimization-based framework consisting of a high-frequency Inertial-Wheel Odometry(IWO), Visual-Inertial-Wheel Odometry(VIWO) and a global fusion module. To fuse the local state with the position provided by GNSS, we perform ternary edge in factor graph optimization to estimate the transformation between the local frame and ENU coordinate. Thanks to the tightly-coupled VIWO, the localization property of the odometry presents more robustness, and improve the accuracy of global fusion. A noise repropagation strategy is introduced to ensure the consistency of the IMU and wheel odometer. We evaluate the proposed system on public datasets and test it in real-world scenario. The experimental results show that our system achieves accurate pose estimation in outdoor environments. © 2022 IEEE.

In this paper, the master-slave synchronization issue of chaotic Lur' e systems with time-varying-delay feedback control is investigated. Firstly, the synchronization problem of chaotic system is transformed into the stability problem of chaotic synchronization error system, which is studied based on Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional (LKF) method. Secondly, a novel augmented LKF with more cross terms that related to time-varying delay is proposed. Based on the application of the relaxation integral inequality and the reciprocally convex matrix inequality, an improved synchronization criterion is derived by using the cubic function negative-determination lemma. Finally, a numerical simulation example demonstrates the effectiveness and advantages of the proposed methods. © 2023 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

As distributed photovoltaic (PV) penetration in distribution networks (DNs) is increasing, it is essential to assess the PV hosting capacity (PVHC) to ensure the safe operation of DNs. This paper proposes a data-driven distributionally robust joint chance constrained (DRJCC) distribution networks PVHC assessment framework. Firstly, the spatiotemporal attention, projection, supervision, and Transformer architecture-based generative adversarial blocks are introduced to develop an augmented time series generative adversarial network (ATS-GAN), which, by integrating both supervised and unsupervised learning during the joint training process, better captures the spatiotemporal characteristics of PV and load power. Subsequently, leveraging the ATS-GAN, a Wasserstein metrics-based ambiguity set of PV and load power probability distributions is constructed, centered on the distributions induced by the generator neural network. Secondly, the DRJCC PVHC assessment model is proposed. A combination of the Bonferroni inequality and conditional value-at-risk approximation is adopted to transform the multivariate DRJCC model into a tractable conic formulation for efficient computation. Numerical results demonstrate that the proposed method effectively captures the spatiotemporal characteristics and uncertainties of multivariate distributions under multiple constraints, significantly reducing the conservatism typically associated with distributionally robust individual chance constraints. © 2025

A new Gaussian approximate (GA) filter for nonlinear systems with one-step randomly delayed measurement and correlated noise is proposed in this paper. Firstly, a general framework of Gaussian filter is designed under Gaussian assumption on the conditional density. Then, the implementation of Gaussian filter is transformed into the approximation of the Gaussian weighted integral in the proposed frame. Secondly, a new cubature Kalman filtering(CKF)algorithm is developed on the basis of the spherical-radial cubature rule. Cloud detection can address data quality and analytical accuracy issues caused by cloud cover in satellite imagery, significantly enhancing image usability. Existing cloud detection methods still have the problem of detecting a certain amount of ground and sea surface as clouds, as well as some cloud regions that are missed, resulting in a decrease in the accuracy of cloud detection. Aiming at the above problems, an interactive cloud detection method based on Dynamic Mode Decomposition is proposed. Based on the fact that clouds are constantly moving, the dynamic mode decomposition can be utilized to detect the characteristics of moving objects, and the dynamic clouds are detected, avoiding the detection of the ground and sea surface as clouds. Although static clouds rarely appear, to ensure the robustness of the algorithm, we design an interactive static cloud detection algorithm for the users, which solve the problem of missed detection and further improves the accuracy of cloud detection. To assess the effectiveness of the algorithm, the four different types of clouds of floccus, undulatus, vortex clouds, and stratocumulus are detected, the experimental outcomes demonstrate the effectiveness and robustness of the algorithm. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s). The research of fuel cell and lithium battery hybrid system has attracted more and more researchers because of its advantages of low emission. However, the lower efficiency of energy management has been a critical factor that obstruct the commercialization of hybrid system. In this work, based on finite element ideas, a solid oxide full cell node model is developed to accurately estimate the operating status of the fuel cell. As for lithium battery, previous energy management studies generally only focused on state of charge, however, state of health is also a key parameter for lithium battery. In this paper, considering the strong coupling between variables we use particle filter algorithm to jointly estimate the state of charge and state of health. To reasonably distribute and manage the energy in the hybrid system, a T-S fuzzy controller for the hybrid system is designed by controlling the state variables in the SOFC model and the state of lithium battery. Finally, our algorithm is verified by DSPACE simulation platform. The result shows that the hybrid system with the energy management strategy not only meets the real-time sharply changing demand but also ensures the hybrid system working efficiently and safely. © 2022 China Electric Power Research Institute. This paper presents an improved stability criterion and controller design scheme condition for a networked control system under denial of service (DoS) attack. Firstly, the DoS attack interval is divided into attack interval and no attack interval, therefore, a switching-like event-triggered control can be established to reduce the waste of network resources and improve network efficiency. Then, the studied system is transformed into a time-delay system, and an improved stability criterion and controller design method are established by using Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional (LKF). For hybrid energy storage systems in DC microgrids, a droop control consisting of virtual capacitors and virtual resistors can decompose power into high-frequency components and low-frequency components, then assign them to batteries and supercapacitors to respond respectively. However, aiming at the service life of the energy storage system, this paper considers the characteristics and key parameters of the hybrid energy storage structure and proposes an adaptive drooping comprehensive control strategy considering the SOC of the energy storage unit given the shortcomings of power distribution within the current hybrid energy storage. According to the self-regulation capacity of each energy storage unit, it is sorted and constrained, and protected by using SOC, which ensures the economy and safety of the system while ensuring power distribution. The traditional droop control and adaptive droop control are simulated to verify the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy. © 2023 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.
