With the increase of the capacity of PV generated systems, how to eliminate the problem caused by the randomness of power output for photovoltaic system becomes more significant. Most of the existing photovoltaic prediction is Based on the solar radiation. However, it's difficult to implement in China due to insufficient solar radiation station available and poor forecasting performance. In addition, indirect forecasting cannot consider the factors related with PV system. A novel power forecasting model using historical power is proposed to solve the problems. Furthermore, in order to adapt sudden weather changes, the future weather type was recognized by using self-organizing feature map(SOM). Then, PV power generation in each weather type could be forecasted from its corresponding forecast network and the over fitting issue of single network model could be addressed. Wavelet neural network is combined with wavelet analysis and neural network. It is compatible with the good time-frequency property and good fault tolerant ability of neural network. Wavelet neural network can optimize the forecasting model. The experimental results indicate that the prediction has high precision and can be applied in stable operation of photovoltaic generation system. © 2013 IEEE.

This paper proposes a coordination control strategy of voltage source converter based multi-terminal DC (VSC-MTDC) transmission system for integrating large-scale offshore wind power. Using a typical five-terminal DC transmission system as an example, coordination control strategy based on local controller among converter stations is proposed. Based on the DC voltage-active power characteristic, improved control strategy for auxiliary converter station and APC converter station are proposed respectively. Also the working mode of the two converter stations is analyzed. The basis of parameter selection of auxiliary converter station and APC converter station is presented due to DC power flow distribution and maximum and minimum operational mode. Finally, simulations in PSCAD/EMTDC are conducted to validate the multi-point DC voltage control method under various operating state in normal, master converter station fault and auxiliary converter station fault conditions respectively. Results show that this method can guarantee the active power allocation of VSC-MTDC transmission system and good control effects are obtained.

An algorithm namely the TDOA-Camberra is proposed for the multi-target passive location in this paper. The algorithm uses the Camberra distance to associate the target data and do the optimal search, then uses the time difference of arrival (TDOA) to locate multiple targets passively once data from the same target is determined. At the same time, as the computing time of associating data using Camberra distance is long, the improved sequential similarity detection algorithm (SSDA) is added to the calculation in order to shorten the time of the data association, thus to increase the speed of the multi-target passive location. The theoretical analysis and simulation experiment proves that the multi-target passive location can be implemented by the proposed algorithm accurately and quickly.

This paper considers the problem that the virtual mobile operator (VMO) buys services from the wireless service provider (WSP) to serve its users. When faced with poor indoor coverage or at the edge of marcocell, the WSP would ask nearby femto base stations (FBSs) to help serve the VMO. We focus on the interesting questions when the WSP prefers to ask help from FBSs and how WSP, VMO and FBSs adjust their strategies to maximize their profits. A two-stage Stackelberg game is built for the situation when the WSP serve the VMO by itself and a four-stage Stackelberg game is considered when the WSP rents FBSs by offering spectrum bands to FBSs. We firstly define the utility functions of VMO, WSP and FBSs to reflect their satisfaction and cost in participating into the game and then give the analysis based on the backward induction method. Meanwhile, the competition among FBSs when the WSP allocates spectrum bands for FBSs' help is formulated as a non-cooperative spectrum competition game (NSCG) and the existence and uniqueness of the Nash equilibrium in NSCG is proved. Simulation results of the two service modes show the WSP can obtain more profits through renting FBSs in poor coverage areas. © 2013 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.

One key technology for a humanoid robot is to sense the environment accurately and control the movement of the robot in realtime. This paper addresses this problem and focuses on the visual servoing control of an anthropomorphic robotic arm. A high precision, image-based visual servo algorithm for an eye-in-hand visual system is proposed to control the movement of the anthropomorphic arm. The control objective of the controller is to lock all the feature points at fixed points on the image plane. Then, impedance control law is implemented to keep the flexible of the arm. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed methods are verified by experiments on our humanoid robotic arm platform. © 2013 IEEE.

Universal Generating Function(UGF)techniques have been applied to Multi-State system(MSS)reliability analysis,such as long term reserve expansion of power systems with high wind power ***,using simple steady-state distribution models for wind power and large generating units in reliability assessment can yield pessimistic *** more accurately assess the power system reliability,UGF techniques are extended to dynamic probabilistic simulation analysis on two aspects of modelling ***,a principal component analysis(PCA)combined with a hierarchal clustering algorithm is used to achieve the salient and time-varying patterns of wind power,then a sequential UGF equivalent model of wind power output is established by an apportioning ***,other than the traditional two-state models,the conventional generator UGF equivalent model is established as a four discrete-state continuous-time Markov model by *** the construction process of such a UGF model,the state values are transformed into the integral multiples of one common factor by choosing proper common factors,thus effectively restraining the exponential growth of its state number and alleviating the explosion *** method is suitable for reliability assessment with dynamic probabilistic distributed random *** addition,by acquiring the clustering information of wind power,the system reliability indices,such as fuel cost and CO_(2) emissions through different seasons and on different workdays,are ***,the effectiveness of the method is verified by a modified IEEE-RTS 79 system integrated with several wind farms of historical hourly wind power data of Zhangbei wind farm in North China.

Fano resonances in plasmonic nanostructures have asymmetric line shape and sharp resonance, and they are very attractive for biosensing applications. The implementations of biosensing rely on plasmon line shape engineering. In this work, we report that when the symmetry of a hexamer is lowered to D 2h point group, two B 3u and two B 2u dark subradiant modes are excited, and there are four kinds of Fano resonances. According to plasmon hybridization theory, the B 3u and two B 2u modes interact with plasmons of the central partical for heptamers with D 2h symmetry. We demonstrate that besides the influence on the resonance behavior, or the appearance of an additional Fano resonance for a certain polarization, there are several hybridized dark subradiant modes for both polarizations, and up to eight kinds of Fano resonances appear in the spectra. Plasmonic clusters with D 2h symmetry are very suitable for plasmon line shaping, and they would useful for multi-wavelength sensing applications. This work also reveals that cluster symmetry engineering is a good method to tune spectral features and to form multiple Fano resonances, and one can get similar results for plasmonic clusters with other symmetries.

A Linear Interpolation Fuzzy controller for a Boiler Pressure control system

Considering nonlinear behaviors and environmental disturbance of the boiler pressure control system, a linear interpolation fuzzy controller is developed. First, according to the conventional discrete fuzzy control principle, a discrete fuzzy controller for the system is designed and a 2-D fuzzy control lookup table is deduced. Then, to overcome the conventional fuzzy controller's disadvantage of lower precision caused by discretization, a bilinear interpolation 2-D table lookup method is used to replace the exact lookup method, with which continuous output can be obtained from the discrete control table. Finally, based on the existed computer control system and boiler system hardware configuration, hard-in-loop real-time simulation system is established in Matlab/RTWT. Lots of experiments are carried out. And the results prove that better control performance can be achieved with the proposed control scheme.
