In this work we introduce an innovative approach to single-molecule quantum coherence (SMQC)-based disposable micro-optical anti-counterfeiting labels. This method facilitates the editing and reading of anti-counterfeiting with single molecules used as the anti-counterfeiting information labels. The label is meticulously crafted through inkjet printing technology, while its authentication is achieved via frequency domain imaging. Through a validation process including experimental demonstration, numerical simulation, and neural network analysis, we demonstrate the feasibility of this approach, further validate the integrity of the miniature anti-counterfeiting information storage, and verify the signal extraction accuracy with the recognition accuracy of the labels is consistently above 99.995%. The combination of SMQC-based disposable micro-optical anti-counterfeiting technology is expected to enable more precise preparation of single-molecule-array chips, thus providing a crucial foundation for the advancement of high-tech and smart manufacturing industries. Unleashing Correlation and Continuity for Hyperspectral Reconstruction from RGB Images

Reconstructing Hyperspectral Images (HSI) from RGB images can yield high spatial resolution HSI at a lower cost, demonstrating significant application potential. This paper reveals that local correlation and global continuity of the spectral characteristics are crucial for HSI reconstruction tasks. Therefore, we fully explore these inter-spectral relationships and propose a Correlation and Continuity Network (CCNet) for HSI reconstruction from RGB images. For the correlation of local spectrum, we introduce the Group-wise Spectral Correlation Modeling (GrSCM) module, which efficiently establishes spectral band similarity within a localized range. For the continuity of global spectrum, we design the Neighborhood-wise Spectral Continuity Modeling (NeSCM) module, which employs memory units to recursively model the progressive variation characteristics at the global level. In order to explore the inherent complementarity of these two modules, we design the Patch-wise Adaptive Fusion (PAF) module to efficiently integrate global continuity features into the spectral features in a patch-wise adaptive manner. These innovations enhance the quality of reconstructed HSI. We perform comprehensive comparison and ablation experiments on the mainstream datasets NTIRE2022 and NTIRE2020 for the spectral reconstruction task. The micro-mechanism of the silicon-based waveguide surface smoothing is investigated systematically to explore the effects of silicon-hydrogen bonds on high-temperature hydrogen annealing waveguides. The effect of silicon- hydrogen bonds on the surface migration movement of silicon atoms and the waveguide surface topography are revealed. The micro-migration from an upper state to a lower state of silicon atoms is driven by silicon- hydrogen bonding, which is the key to ameliorate the rough surface morphology of the silicon-based waveguide. The process of hydrogen annealing is experimentally validated based on the simulated parameters. The surface roughness declines from 1.523nm to 0.461 nm.

Fabrication of ordered micro- and nano-scale patterns based on optical discs and nanoimprint

A simple method to fabricate one-dimensional(1-D) and two-dimensional(2-D) ordered micro- and nano-scale patterns is developed based on the original masters from optical discs, using nanoimprint technology and soft stamps. Polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS) was used to replicate the negative image of the 1-D grating pattern on the masters of CD-R, DVD-R and BD-R optical discs, respectively, and then the 1-D pattern on one of the PDMS stamps was transferred to a blank polycarbonate(PC) substrate by nanoimprint. The 2-D ordered patterns were fabricated by the second imprinting using another PDMS stamp. Different 2-D periodic patterns were obtained depending on the PDMS stamps and the angle between the two times of imprints. This method may provide a way for the fabrication of complex 2-D patterns using simple 1-D masters.

Excavator Energy-saving Efficiency Based on Diesel Engine Cylinder Deactivation Technology

The hydraulic excavator energy-saving research mainly embodies the following three measures： to improve the performance of diesel engine and hydraulic component, to improve the hydraulic system, and to improve the power matching of diesel-hydraulic system-actuator. Although the above measures have certain energy-saving effect, but because the hydraulic excavator load changes frequently and fluctuates dramatically, so the diesel engine often works in high-speed and light load condition, and the fuel consumption is higher. Therefore, in order to improve the economy of diesel engine in light load, and reduce the fuel consumption of hydraulic excavator, energy management concept is proposed based on diesel engine cylinder deactivation technology. By comparing the universal characteristic under diesel normal and deactivated cylinder condition, the mechanism that fuel consumption can be reduced significantly by adopting cylinder deactivation technology under part of loads condition can be clarified. The simulation models for hydraulic system and diesel engine are established by using AMESim software, and fuel combustion consumption by using cylinder-deactivation-technology is studied through digital simulation approach. In this way, the zone of cylinder deactivation is specified. The testing system for the excavator with this technology is set up based on simulated results, and the results show that the diesel engine can still work at high efficiency with part of loads after adopting this technology; fuel consumption is dropped down to 11% and 13% under economic and heavy-load mode respectively under the condition of driving requirements. The research provides references to the energy-saving study of the hydraulic excavators.

Random distributed multi-pulse dynamics in mode-locked regimes of a highly nonlinear fiber ring laser

The generation and transition dynamics of random distributed multi-pulse are studied numerically and experimentally in the mode-locked fiber laser. The influence of various cavity parameters on the generation of multi-pulse in the fiber laser is investigated and the random distributed multi-pulse with delta-like characteristics in the autocorrelation trace is generated numerically. The results show that the highly nonlinear fiber can significantly enhance the nonlinear effect in the cavity to effectively and quickly enter the multi-pulse region. By adding the highly nonlinear fiber to the fiber laser in the experiment, the random distributed multi-pulse is generated under appropriate polarization state and pump power, which is consistent with the simulation results. The transition dynamics of the variation in the number of pulses during the formation process of the random distributed multi-pulse is studied by using the time-stretch dispersive Fourier transform technology. The random distributed multi-pulse combines the advantages of both pulse and chaotic signals, with a higher peak-to-peak value and random distribution in the time interval between pulses. Our work provides fundamental insights into the evolution and dynamic behavior in random distributed multi-pulse and broaden its potential applications in the correlation fiber loop ring down sensing.

With the proposal of carbon peak and carbon neutrality targets and the construction of a new power system, improving energy efficiency and reducing carbon emissions have become the key to the sustainable development of industrial boiler generator sets. However, the current load scheduling of gas boiler power plants is mainly based on manual experience, which limits achieving more efficient and stable operation. Accurate short-term load forecasting can help dispatchers to make reasonable production schedules. Therefore, this paper proposes a hybrid load forecasting model for generator sets based on convolutional neural networks combined with long short-term memory networks. First, the Isolation Forest algorithm eliminates anomalies in the historical data set. Then, variables related to unit load are selected by combining mechanistic analysis with the Spearman algorithm. Considering the multiple operating conditions and high complexity of unit loads, the CNN-LSTM network is used to fully extract the spatial and temporal characteristics to build the load prediction model. Finally, experiments are conducted using actual production data, showing that the proposed method is effectiveness. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

This paper studies the problem of trajectory tracking control for directional drilling in underground coal mine by devising a robust model predictive control method. First, a directional drilling trajectory extension model is obtained by the linearization of a drilling tool kinematic model through the Taylor series expansion in the borehole depth domain. Then, in view of the influence of the uncertainty of the drilling tool slope and external interference, a robust model predictive control method is introduced in the form of an optimal control problem. A sufficient condition is obtained to calculate the corresponding controller gain matrix on the premise of satisfying the stability of the closedloop control system and the H∞ performance index. At last, the effectiveness of our method is illustrated through simulation analysis. Compared with model predictive control, robust model predictive control directly incorporates the uncertainty of the drilling tool slope and external interference into the control design, enabling it to better adapt to the complex and variable underground coal mine environment. © 2025 IEEE.

With the Internet of Things (IoT) playing an increasingly crucial role in connecting diverse devices, applications have different requirements for communication and various evaluation metrics have emerged, such as Age of Information (AoI) and estimation error. Considering the fundamental trade-off between reliability and latency of the communication system, the relationship among reliability, latency, AoI and estimation error is complex. This paper proposes a remote state observation system with application-layer rateless codes to explore above relationships, addressing how to design the system for optimal performance based on varying requirements by adjusting coding parameters. By emphasizing flexible and adaptable coding strategies, we aim to convey the idea that the error-correction codes can be designed to optimize the communication system for diverse practical metrics. It is different from the traditional designs that focus on approaching the Shannon limit.

Charge transporting materials for perovskite solar cells

Perovskite solar cells(PSCs) have made great progress since 2009 and become the focus of current research. As an important part of PSCs, charge transporting materials play an important role in the performance of the devices. In this review, we introduce the evolution of electron and hole transporting materials in PSCs in recent years and summarize some typical charge transporting materials and their applications in PSCs. For electron transporting materials, metal oxides(TiO_(2), SnO_(2) and ZnO) and organic materials(fullerenes, non-fullerenes and their derivatives)are the most widely used materials in PSCs. For hole transporting materials, small molecule spiro-OMeTAD(2,2’,7,7’-Tetrakis[N,N-di(4-methoxyphenyl)amino]-9,9’-spirobifluorene), polymer PEDOT:PSS(poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene): polystyrene sulfonate), PTAA(poly-[bi(4-phenyl)](2,4,3-trimethylphenyla-mine)), P3 HT(poly(3-hexythiophene)) and inorganic materials(NiOx, CuSCN, CuO) are adopted in PSCs. Finally, different types of charge transporting materials are summarized and their future development is prospected.
