The advancement of the Industry 5.0 in information technology has led to increased interest in integrating edge-cloud cooperation with Internet of Things (IoT) and cyber-physical system (CPS) designs. This integration effectively reduces service delays and provides real-time analysis feedback to physical spaces, attracting attention from both academia and industry. These advanced technologies enhance production system intelligence, their alignment with circular economy principles for promoting sustainability has been overlooked. To address this gap, this article proposes an intelligent sustainability evaluation strategy driven by edge-cloud cooperation, IoT, and CPS. The proposed approach aims to enhance production sustainability and intelligence through circular economy perspectives. It introduces improved gray relation analysis and deep clustering network techniques to extract meaningful insights from diverse indicators within the evaluation system. By analyzing relationships between different equipment and workshops, it provides an analytical method that enhances production efficiency while reducing energy consumption and resource waste. To further validate the proposed method, an illustrative example using a partner company’s production data demonstrates its accuracy. © 2014 IEEE.

Some new bistable transition fronts with changing shape

We construct entire solutions of bistable reaction-diffusion equations by mixing finite planar fronts, which form a finite-dimensional manifold. These entire solutions are generalized traveling fronts, that is, transition fronts. We also show their uniqueness and stability. Furthermore, we prove that transition fronts with level sets having finite facets are determined by finite planar fronts and they are in the class of entire solutions constructed by us. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature 2025.

In high-risk industrial environments like nuclear power plants, precise defect identification and localization are essential for maintaining production stability and safety. However, the complexity of such a harsh environment leads to significant variations in the shape and size of the defects. To address this challenge, we propose the multivariate time series segmentation network(MSSN), which adopts a multiscale convolutional network with multi-stage and depth-separable convolutions for efficient feature extraction through variable-length templates. To tackle the classification difficulty caused by structural signal variance, MSSN employs logarithmic normalization to adjust instance distributions. Furthermore, it integrates classification with smoothing loss functions to accurately identify defect segments amid similar structural and defect signal subsequences. Our algorithm evaluated on both the Mackey-Glass dataset and industrial dataset achieves over 95% localization and demonstrates the capture capability on the synthetic dataset. In a nuclear plant's heat transfer tube dataset, it captures 90% of defect instances with75% middle localization F1 score.

DNA walkers, as structurally and functionally programmable signal amplification tools, exhibit great potential for application in the field of biosensing. Traditional DNA walkers often rely on enzymes for operation, posing compatibility challenges, while the handful of existing enzyme-free DNA walkers demonstrate limited performance. To address this, we innovatively developed an efficient enzyme-free 3D DNA walker with dual capture and dual output capabilities. Coupled with ligase chain reaction (LCR), this system facilitates highly sensitive and specific detection of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs). Specifically, LCR precisely identifies single-base mutations, effectively transmitting biological information. The 3D DNA walker system is based on entropy-driven circuit cycling reaction technology. In this system, LCR products serve as the driving strands for the DNA walker, independently binding to track strands and walking legs immobilized on gold nanoparticles, forming a unique dual signal capture mechanism. Each track strand carries two signal chains, significantly enhancing signal amplification efficiency. Benefiting from this novel enzyme-free 3D DNA walker strategy, our biosensing system exhibits exceptional sensitivity to mutant targets (MT), detecting MT at concentrations as low as 30.3 aM and distinguishing heterozygous samples with a 0.01% mutation frequency. Furthermore, this system has been successfully applied to genotyping and mutation abundance assessment of genomes from fresh soybean leaves, demonstrating its vast potential for practical applications. In summary, this research pioneers a novel enzyme-free 3D DNA walker with dual capture and dual output capabilities, and develops an ultrasensitive genotyping tool. This provides strong technical support for the advancement of genetic research. © 2025 American Chemical Society.

A GL(n) quantum integrable system generalizing the asymmetric five vertex spin chain is shown to encode the ring relations of the equivariant quantum cohomology and equivariant quantum K-theory ring of flag varieties. Curved fronts of bistable reaction-diffusion equations in spatially periodic media: N ≥ 2

This paper is concerned with curved fronts of bistable reaction-diffusion equations in spatially periodic media for dimensions N ≥ 2. The curved fronts concerned are transition fronts connecting 0 and 1. Under a priori assumption that there exist moving pulsating fronts in every direction, we show the existence of polytope-like curved fronts with 0-zone being a polytope and 1-zone being the complementary set. By reversing some conditions, we also show the existence of curved fronts with reversed 0-zone and 1-zone. Furthermore, the curved fronts constructed by us are proved to be unique and asymptotic stable. Copyright © 2025, The Authors. All rights reserved.

To meet the requirements of electromagnetic(EM)theory and applied physics,this study presents an overview of the state-of-the-art research on obtaining the EM properties of media and points out potential solutions that can break through the bottlenecks of current ***,based on the survey of three mainstream approaches for acquiring EM properties of media,we identify the difficulties when implementing them in realistic *** a focus on addressing these problems and challenges,we propose a novel paradigm for obtaining the EM properties of multi-type media in realistic ***,within this paradigm,we describe the implementation approach of the key technology,namely“multipath extraction using heterogeneous wave propagation data in multi-spectrum cases”.Finally,the latest measurement and simulation results show that the EM properties of multi-type media in realistic environments can be precisely and efficiently acquired by the methodology proposed in this study.

Neurite Orientation Dispersion and Density Imaging (NODDI) is an important imaging technology used to evaluate the microstructure of brain tissue, which is of great significance for the discovery and treatment of various neurological diseases. Current deep learning-based methods perform parameter estimation through diffusion magnetic resonance imaging (dMRI) with a small number of diffusion gradients. These methods speed up parameter estimation and improve accuracy. However, the diffusion directions used by most existing deep learning models during testing needs to be strictly consistent with the diffusion directions during training. This results in poor generalization and robustness of deep learning models in dMRI parameter estimation. In this work, we first verify that the parameter estimation performance of current mainstream methods will significantly decrease when the testing diffusion directions and the training diffusion directions are inconsistent. A robust NODDI parameter estimation method with adaptive sampling under continuous representation (RobNODDI) is proposed. Furthermore, long short-term memory (LSTM) units and fully connected layers are selected to learn continuous representation signals. To this end, we use a total of 100 subjects to conduct experiments based on the Human Connectome Project (HCP) dataset, of which 60 are used for training, 20 are used for validation, and 20 are used for testing. The test results indicate that RobNODDI improves the generalization performance and robustness of the deep learning model, enhancing the stability and flexibility of deep learning NODDI parameter estimatimation applications. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

The inherent complexity of Wi-Fi signals makes video-aided Wi-Fi 3D pose estimation difficult. The challenges include the limited generalizability of the task across diverse environments, its significant signal heterogeneity, and its inadequate ability to analyze local and geometric information. To overcome these challenges, we introduce WiViPose, a video-aided Wi-Fi framework for 3D pose estimation, which attains enhanced cross-environment generalization through cross-layer optimization. Bilinear temporal-spectral fusion (BTSF) is initially used to fuse the time-domain and frequency-domain features derived from Wi-Fi. Video features are derived from a multiresolution convolutional pose machine and enhanced by local self-attention. Cross-modality data fusion is facilitated through an attention-based transformer, with the process further refined under a supervisory mechanism. WiViPose demonstrates effectiveness by achieving an average percentage of correct keypoints (PCK)@50 of 91.01% across three typical indoor environments. © 2025 IEEE.

Drug-target interaction prediction help reduce the cost and time of drug development. However, existing research often overlooks the complexity of biological interactions. To address this issue, this paper proposes a DTI prediction model that integrates multi-dimensional biochemical features. Specifically, the model utilizes a heterogeneous graph attention network to capture the topological relationships among biological entities from diverse data, providing a deep understanding of the interactions among drugs, proteins, diseases, and side effects. A molecular attention Transformer network and a CBiNet module are used to extract the key structural features of drugs and targets. By automatically optimizing the weight distribution between drugs and targets, the model enhances the information transfer during network training, significantly improving model performance. Experimental results on real-world datasets demonstrate that the proposed model outperforms the current state-of-the-art methods in the field. Among the top 50 novel COVID-19 therapeutic drugs predicted by our model, 30 have been supported by clinical trials or scientific literature, further demonstrating the effectiveness of our proposed method in drug repurposing.
