This paper presents robust optimization models for a multi-product integrated problem of planning and scheduling (based on the work of Terrazas-Moreno & Grossmann (2011) [1]) under products prices uncertainty. With the objective of maximizing the total profit in planning time horizon, the planning section determines the amount of each product, each product distributed to each market, and the inventory level in each manufacturing site during each scheduling time period;the scheduling section determines the products sequence, start and end time of each product running in each production site during each scheduling time period. The uncertainty sets used in robust optimization model are box set, ellipsoidal set, polyhedral set, combined box and ellipsoidal set, combined box and polyhedral set, combined box, ellipsoidal and polyhedral set. The genetic algorithm is utilized to solve the robust optimization models. Case studies show that the solutions obtained from robust optimization models are better than the solutions obtained from the original integrated planning and scheduling when the prices are changed.

Automatic EEG spike detection provide valuable information for diagnosis of epilepsy. In the past 30 years, a number of algorithms were proposed. However, the basic idea of most algorithms is to identify spike activities. We have developed an algorithm based on identify non-spike activities for off-line analysis. In this paper, we improved the algorithm for online application using real-time template. Template method is a typical spike detection method. It was not widely employed because of the difficulty of making template. Our results suggested that multichannel template is meaningful and effective for real-time detection. Spike activities can be detected with a delay of about 2 s. We also designed an simple user-friendly monitor interface for monitor and review spike events in real-time.

This paper investigates consensus of nonlinear multi-agent systems with stochastic disturbances. By sampling signals from the leader agent at discrete instants, leader-following consensus in the mean square is achieved based on the theory of Ito stochastic differential equations and Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional stability theory with a sufficient condition derived. Then two special cases: 1) the transmittal delay is very small, which can be approximately regards as zero;2) the interconnections of agents are undirected are discussed, respectively. Finally, an example is given to verify the effectiveness of the theoretical results.

In this paper, we consider the distributed generalized Nash equilibrium(GNE) seeking problem in strongly monotone games. The transmission among players is implemented through a digital communication network with limited bandwidth. For improving communication efficiency or/and security, an event-triggered coding-decoding-based communication is first proposed, where the data(decision variable) are first mapped to a series of finite-level codewords and, only when an event condition is satisfied, then sent to the neighboring agents. Moreover, a distributed communication-efficient GNE seeking algorithm is constructed accordingly,and the overrelaxation scheme is further taken into consideration. Through primal-dual analysis, the proposed algorithm is proven to converge to a variational GNE with fixed step-sizes by recasting it as an inexact forward-backward iteration. Finally, numerical simulations illustrate the benefit of the proposed algorithms in terms of saving communication resources.

Resulting from the complexity and sensitivity instinct, high-order control system design is always a challenge faced by engineers from process industry. To solve this challenging task, a switchable control scheme consisted of two sub-controllers tuned based on two complementary simplified models respectively is proposed in this paper, and golden section is introduced into process model reduction to simplify parameter tuning. Inspired by adaptive control strategy, the controller switch mechanism depends on the time domain response similarity between the original high-order model and the simplified model. Besides, PID controller structure and corresponding parameter tuning method, such as Ziegler-Nichols method and SIMC method, are remained to guarantee the facility and efficiency of sub-controller design. The proposed method has been tested on several examples (balanced, lag-dominant, and a delay-dominant process) and the comparison with other tuning method based on step-response data resulting in favorable control performance.

Brain-computer interface (BCI) can help patients who lost control over most muscles but are still conscious to communicate or interact with the environment. In the offline experiment, all the subjects have to do is counting the target stimulus when they were using the visual-evoked event-related potential (ERP) based BCIs. The recorded electroencephalogram (EEG) data was used to train the classification mode. However, subjects may get distracted in counting the target stimulus when the non-target stimulus affected the subjects or subjects lost their attentions which may negatively affect the task performance. In this study, some green flashing points was added into the stimuli. The subjects have to focus on the target stimulus and count the number of the green points in target stimulus at the same time. In this way, it will make subjects concentrate more on the target to count the green points compared to the pattern without green points. The result showed that the performance of the BCI system could be improved using the method presented in this paper.
