Model updating can reduce the reality gap between the digital space and physical space, which is essential for accurately building digital models of aviation equipment. However, with data requirements and the complexity of application environments continue to increase, traditional update techniques show great limitations. The main reason is that traditional update technologies are limited by computational efficiency, resulting in the inability to balance accuracy and real-time. In this work, we propose a model update method based on reinforcement learning to infer model parameters. The proposed method does not require any ground truth parameters. Experimental results on the twin-rotor turbofan engine model verify the superiority of the proposed method compared with other state-of-the-art methods. © 2023 IEEE.

Considering the special structural design and complex working conditions of flexible hypersonic vehicles, elastic vibrations can tremendously affect the control performance of hypersonic vehicles. In this paper, from the perspective of trajectory, a vibration suppression strategy for hypersonic vehicle including trajectory optimization and input shaping is proposed. The minimum sum of the squares of elastic modes and derivatives is selected as the performance index, and the optimal trajectory is calculated through direct collocation method. Then, an input shaper is designed for the first-order elastic mode to reshape the optimal trajectory. Meanwhile, the Tube model predictive control (Tube-MPC) is utilized to ensure the stable flight of the vehicle. Finally, the simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. © 2023 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

Island classification is a key element of scene matching navigation in the sea area. However, the image classification methods face the problems of inconsistent distribution structure, uneven size and lack of stable features of islands. In order to solve these problems, we define three types of island, the isolated island, the large island and the multi-island. This paper considers the pyramid decomposition to perform multi-scale analysis, and uses the histogram of oriented gradient and the local binary pattern algorithm to extract the stable features of the island images at different scales, then these feature vectors of each scales are classified by support vector machines. Furthermore, the evidence theory is introduced to fuse the classification results of single classifier on each image scale. The island database is obtained by Google Earth satellite images, which covers all islands in South China Sea and some of islands in Pacific/Indian Ocean. The experimental results on the satellite image database show that the classification accuracy of proposed method is 91.83%, and it is about 2% higher than single classifier methods. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

This paper presents a new navigation integrity monitoring method required for civil aviation in LPV-200 approach phase. In this integrity monitoring system, multi-constellation and the corresponding failure types are taken into consideration. Firstly, the tightly coupled multi-constellation/INS integration model is constructed, including INS errors, baro-altitude bias and pseudo-range biases for GPS and BD. Then, due to the increase of constellation, the failure types are distinct from the single-constellation. Two kinds of failures with different probabilities of hazardously misleading information (PHMI ) are taken into account: inconsistent fault and consistent fault, which affect the integrity level. In addition, the distributed solution separation is used for integrity monitoring, which includes not only calculating the integrity parameters but also detecting and excluding the potential failures. Finally, the simulation reveals that the inconsistent fault is allowable and the consistent fault should be avoided. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

To cover an unknown area, the agents usually work with SLAM or path-planning-based schemes, and they often rely on stable data communication for task assignment to minimize overlapped coverage. However, the unavailability of a wireless network in an extreme environment, resulting in reduced ability to identify a homogeneous agent and possession of limited sensing range, poses a challenge to the cooperation, since many existing control algorithms turn out to be inapplicable. For this configuration, the paper proposes an improved sweep coverage control strategy from our previous work which requires a constant connection among index neighbors to string them up and generate a flexible formation that adapts to the unstructured environment. In this work, efforts are made to build a coverage formation by establishing a connected linear sensing topology among the agents via coordinate compression and active reconnection tactics, where the adjacent agents are the closest ones without knowing each other's index number. The parameters in the proposed control law are discussed and examined in a bunch of simulations with a conclusion of how they affect the performance of the coverage control. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

The electro-hydrostatic actuator (EHA) has the advantage of high power weight ratio, less leakage and the absence of throttle loss. It's used on the multi-electric aircraft and the all-electric aircraft. However, it will be affected by the aerodynamic load and the rudder flutter will occur if the dynamic stiffness of the EHA is low. As a result, it's significant to analyse the sensitivity of the EHA's parameters on the dynamic stiffness. The article builds a linear model of the EHA considering the leakage in the system. What's more, the local parameter sensitivity for the dynamic stiffness is calculated when the frequency is between 0.01 Hz and 1000 Hz. © The Institution of Engineering & technology 2024.

Concentration distribution of air pollutants in commercial aircraft cabins are important for providing passengers and crew with a healthy and comfortable environment. To verify whether the concentration of air pollutants meets airworthiness standards, this article focuses on the cabin of a specific aircraft and employs numerical simulation to analyze the CO2 concentration distribution during single-engine drift. The MCT single-engine drift calculations reveal that pollutants initially increase and then decrease as the aircraft descends from 7620m to the emergency ventilation altitude, the concentrations of pollutants in the x section, y section and z section increasing by 66.87%, 55.61%, and 61.08% respectively, maintaining pollutant concentrations within acceptable limits throughout the drift. © The Institution of Engineering & technology 2024.

This paper upgrades the single-excited magnetic resonant WPT system to the multi-excited magnetic resonant WPT power supply area, and proposes a winding connection principle for constructing an omnidirectional power supply area. By changing the winding connection mode of the excitation coil, the magnetic field distribution in the wireless power supply area is changed to form in the enhanced area and weakened area of the magnetic field, the power receiving terminal can improve the degree of energy coupling and power transmission efficiency by changing its degree of freedom in the area. The distribution of the magnetic field under different winding connection modes is analyzed and summarized. In the end, the experimental results of the open resonant wireless charging area platform built by the experiment are consistent with the theoretical analysis and simulation results. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

We utilize molecular dynamics simulations to investigate the microstructures of ions and polyelectrolytes in aqueous solutions under external electric *** focusing on the multi-body interactions between ionic components and H_(2)O molecules,as well as their responses to the external electric fields,we clarify several nontrivial molecular features of the ionic and polyelectrolyte solutions,such as the solvations of cations and anions,clustering of the ions,and dispersions/aggregations of polyelectrolyte chains,as well as the corresponding responses of H_(2)O molecules in these *** simulations illustrate the variations in structures of ionic solutions caused by reversing the charge sign of the ions,and elucidate the disparity in structures between anionic and cationic polyelectrolyte solutions in the presence of the external electric *** work clarifies the mechanism for the alternations in complex multi-body interactions in aqueous solutions caused by the application electric field,which can contribute to the fundamental understanding of the physical and chemical natures of ion-containing and charged polymeric systems.
