Although different multipath error models of Delay lock loop(DLL) used in GPS receiver are established, they have never been put together for comparison. Furthermore, no universal simulation method is developed to get a fair comparison among these models. A new model with implicate expression is hence proposed for the coherent DLL and the noncoherent Dot-product(DOT) power mode DLL. Meanwhile, a new simulation method based on the anonymous function in Matlab, which is especially suitable for models with implicit expression,is also proposed to compare the new model with the existing ones. The theoretical analysis and simulation results show that the existing models are the special case of the proposed one. The new simulation method can be used for the comparison of different multipath error models and the multipath error analysis of other DLLs for which only the implicit model is available.

Taking into account that the present popular methods, such as the judgement of the axle failure based on temperature threshold, and the early warning of axle based on real-time temperature analysis, cannot analyze the changing of performance trends, a health state analysis method for the axle of high-speed train based on long-term temperature monitoring data is proposed in this paper, which including the following main steps: (1) Preprocessing of the original data to correct the singular zero value and complement the missing values, (2) Smoothing of the processed data in order to automatically extract the beginning and end points of every temperature rising stage of axles, (3) Establishment of the calculation method of temperature rising rate, and evaluating the health sate of axles based on the temperature rising rate. Finally, the proposed method is validated based on the data from a test line, the results demonstrate the effectiveness and practicability of the method.

Aerial dispersal miniature reconnaissance robots can be used in many areas such as natural disasters, man-power disasters, military reconnaissance and so on. Due to its characteristics of fast response, long detection distance and large coverage area, aerial dispersal miniature reconnaissance robots are suitable for these situations mentioned above. However, aerial dispersal miniature reconnaissance robots demand a portable system which is easy to operate. Moreover, another crucial problem from the aerial dispersal miniature reconnaissance robot is that it demands excellent anti-impact property so that it can be thrown from high altitude. To solve the problems above, this paper presents a framework of this aerial dispersal miniature reconnaissance robot launch module. In addition, the mechanical design of each part of this launch module is presented in this paper. Finally, both simulation and experiments showed that this aerial dispersal miniature reconnaissance robot launch module is reliable and practical.

The position tracking control problem of an electrical cylinder in the presence of dynamic friction nonlinearities in its transmission process is addressed in this paper. First, a torque decou- piing approach is proposed to formulate the dynamic model. Secondly, to compensate the friction in the case of servo motion, a modified LuGre model is designed to make a continuous transition be- tween a static model at a high speed and a LuGre model at a low speed to avoid instability due to dis- cretization with a finite sampling rate. To accelerate the speed of estimating time-varying parame- ters, a fast adaption law is proposed by designing an attraction domain around a rough value related to the load force. Finally, a discontinuous projection based adaptive robust controller is synthesized to effectively handle parametric uncertainties for ensuring a guaranteed robust performance. A Lya- punov stability analysis demonstrates that all signals including tracking errors have the guaranteed convergent and bounded performance. Extensive comparative simulations with sinusoidal and point- point tracks are obtained respectively in low and high speeds. The results show the effectiveness and the achievable control performance of the proposed control strategy.

Distributed animation rendering systems are used to speed up of rendering i.e the computational-intensive phase of producing animation. How to develop softwares with high availability and efficiency is a hot topic in distributed animation rendering systems. In this paper, based on model checking method for system modeling, three modules(i.e. rendering management server, rendering nodes and storage system) are modeled and analyzed. Firstly, by analyzing the system's typical infrastructure, messages-driven finite state machines of such three modules are studied. Then, the properties of such three modules are described using CTL(Computational Tree Logic). Furthermore, safety and livenesses are verified with SMV(Symbolic Model Verification). The methodology of this paper offers important theoretical guide to software development.

In order to realize the human-like locomotion of humanoid, it is crucially important to study the gait patterns as well as stance control strategies of human walking from the human motion capture data so as to transfer them to humanoid. In this paper, we use a specially designed wearable motion capture system, which can simultaneously capture the motion of the lower limbs in the joint space, the stance of the pelvis and the back in the Descartes space, and the forces exerted on the sole of foot, to capture the motion data of subjects; and the captured walking data reveal some interesting gait patterns of human, in which the role of waist flexibility in human gait is remarkable. Thus we suggest that we should pay attention to the study of the mechanism of waist flexibility in human gait as well as the method of transferring the waist flexibility to humanoid.

In this paper, we review the correlation detection technique (CDT) for fiber faults diagnosis and describe our chaotic signal- and communication signal-based correlation detection schemes in passive optical network (PON). The results show that spatial resolution of 2cm and dynamic range of about 20.8dB can be achieved when chaotic signal is used. Utilizing communication signal itself as the probe light, we achieve a spatial resolution of 8cm and detection range of above 23km.
