This paper develops distributed algorithms for solving Sylvester *** authors transform solving Sylvester equations into a distributed optimization problem,unifying all eight standard distributed matrix *** the authors propose a distributed algorithm to find the least squares solution and achieve an explicit linear convergence *** results are obtained by carefully choosing the step-size of the algorithm,which requires particular information of data and Laplacian *** avoid these centralized quantities,the authors further develop a distributed scaling technique by using local information *** a result,the proposed distributed algorithm along with the distributed scaling design yields a universal method for solving Sylvester equations over a multi-agent network with the constant step-size freely chosen from configurable ***,the authors provide three examples to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms.

The integration of multi-agent reinforcement learning (MARL) into complex systems has paved new ways for collaborative problem-solving. However, traditional approaches to MARL frequently encounter the challenge of achieving efficient communication among agents, essential for coordinated action. This paper introduces a region division and leader-follower(RDLF) communication algrithm with the MARL framework. RDLF divides the environment into several regions, each managed by a leader agent that coordinates the actions of follower agents and handling inter-region communication. This hierarchical structure reduces unnecessary communication, enhancing learning efficiency. Experimental results in multi-particle environments demonstrate RDLF’s superiority over existing MARL algorithms, especially with increasing agent numbers. RDLF effectively addresses scalability and communication challenges in large-scale multi-agent systems, providing a robust foundation for its application in complex and dynamic environment. © 2024 IEEE.

Pedestrian localization has broad applications. However, achieving seamless positioning in complex environments remains a significant challenge due to factors like environmental occlusion and indoor-outdoor transitions. This paper proposes a combined localization framework using Global Navigation Satellite system (GNSS), Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), Ultra-Wideband (UWB), and MAP data to address this issue. In the framework, a three-step GNSS localization method is proposed to enhance accuracy and stability by eliminating Non-Line-of-Sight (NLOS) effects and filtering anomalies. Inertial Navigation system (INS) and Pedestrian Dead Reckoning (PDR) models are integrated to improve local precision and stability. UWB, known for its superior localization capabilities, has been integrated into some smartphones and is promising for large-scale indoor applications. The paper presents a gradient descent-based optimal anchor deployment algorithm and localization methods for varying anchor quantities. Additionally, a non-stationary Markov model fuses map data for trajectory prediction and correction. Finally, anomaly detection filtering and low-pass filtering are applied to the corrected trajectories, yielding high accuracy and stability. Experiments on the Honor V20 and iQOO U3 smartphones showed significant improvements compared to the baseline algorithm. Outdoor Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) was reduced by 44.4% (10.83m) for the Honor V20 and 40.0% (10.77m) for the iQOO U3. Additionally, outdoor Standard Deviation (STD) improved by 43.9% (4.80m) and 43.5% (5.50m), respectively. In transitional areas, RMSE improved by 4.61% (10.77m) and 19.6% (4.76m), respectively. Indoor RMSE also showed improvements, with the Honor V20 reducing it by 8.00% (3.79m) and the iQOO U3 by 5.78% (3.91m). © 2025 IEEE.

As a crucial auxiliary technique in inertial navigation, scene matching has been widely applied in aircraft navigation and guidance. To enhance the adaptability and efficiency of scene matching algorithms in complex environments, existing approaches have gradually shifted towards heterogeneous scene matching, such as optical/ infrared scene matching based on deep learning features, with a focus on point features. However, due to the complex and diverse nonlinear distortions between optical and infrared images, the matching accuracy often fails to meet the practical requirements of navigation and positioning. In view of this problem, an EPM-Net algorithm based on edge features is proposed to improve matching performance by extracting more stable and discriminative edge point descriptors. Experimental results on infrared datasets demonstrate that this method achieves an average matching accuracy improvement of more than four times compared to traditional and existing deep learning methods. © COPYRIGHT SPIE. This paper presents a novel learning-based method for a robotic manipulator to achieve liquid pouring across different liquid levels using only visual sensors. Previous works have relied on either online reinforcement learning or imitation learning, which are limited by sim-to-real gaps or data efficiency. In this paper, we propose to combine supervised learning and offline reinforcement learning, utilizing a human demonstration dataset containing only successful pouring at the highest level. Specifically, our approach employs supervised learning for a visual classifier, transforming the visual input into a categorical distribution over liquid levels. The offline reinforcement learning method is applied to a binary-conditioned control policy, which takes a binary signal and the robot's proprioception as inputs to determine the action. The binary signal indicates whether the desired liquid level has been reached based on the target liquid level. Through experiments, our method demonstrates superior effectiveness compared to a state-of-the-art imitation learning algorithm. Moreover, tests in unseen scenarios and multiple liquid level commands verify the generalization and transferability of our approach. © 2024 IEEE.

The weak signal detection method based on stochastic resonance is usually used to extract and identify the weak characteristic signal submerged in strong noise by using the noise energy transfer *** propose a novel composite multistable stochastic-resonance(NCMSR)model combining the Gaussian potential model and an improved bistable *** with the traditional multistable stochastic resonance method,all the parameters in the novel model have no symmetry,the output signal-to-noise ratio can be optimized and the output amplitude can be improved by adjusting the system *** model retains the advantages of continuity and constraint of the Gaussian potential model and the advantages of the improved bistable model without output saturation,the NCMSR model has a higher utilization of *** the output signal-to-noise ratio as the index,weak periodic signal is detected based on the NCMSR model in Gaussian noise andαnoise environment respectively,and the detection effect is *** application of NCMSR to the actual detection of bearing fault signals can realize the fault detection of bearing inner race and outer *** outstanding advantages of this method in weak signal detection are verified,which provides a theoretical basis for industrial practical applications.

For the transient synchronous stability of phase-locked loop based voltage source converter grid-tied systems, the generalized swing equation (GSE) is believed as very important. In this paper, the GSE is studied deeply by bifurcation theory. For instance, the co-dimension-2 Bogdanov-Takens (BT) bifurcation is rigorously analyzed, and the formulations for three co-dimension-1 bifurcations near the BT bifurcation point including the generalized saddle-node, Hopf, and homoclinic bifurcations are explicitly obtained. Moreover, all Hopf bifurcations in the GSE have been theoretically proven to be subcritical by the normal form method. Therefore, after the Hopf and homoclinic bifurcations, two different types of basin of attraction occur widely including a closed loop surrounded by an unstable limit cycle and a fish- like pattern surrounded by the stable manifold of unstable equilibrium point (UEP), respectively. In addition, for the transient synchronous stability assessment after the homoclinic bifurcation, based on the linear approximation of the stable manifold of the UEP, an index for the distance between the stable equilibrium point and the approximated stability boundary is formulated. All these theoretical results are well verified and supported by numerical calculations and real-time simulations, making all previous phenomenal observations of the GSE stand on the solid foundation of rigorous mathematics. © 1986-2012 IEEE.

This article delves into a data-driven approach for solving the adaptive optimal output regulation problem in continuous-time linear systems with uncertain dynamics. Employing a class of parametric Lyapunov equations in conjunction with a nominal system model, the initial stabilizing feedback gain is determined to initiate the iterative method. Then, by utilizing a policy-iteration-based technique, we design an optimal control policy to achieve precise output tracking and disturbance rejection. The prescribed convergence characteristics of the closed-loop system directly result from the properties embedded within the solution of the parametric Lyapunov equation. The applicability and performance of the proposed method are demonstrated through a numerical example involving an input-constrained double integrator system. © 2024 SPIE.
