The suspension system is critical to ensure the running safety and comfortability of railway vehicle. This paper employed conventional machine learning method of principal component analysis and support vector machine (PCA-SVM) to diagnose the damper fault, wheel surface fault, roller fault, damper fault coupled with wheel surface fault and damper fault coupled with wheel and roller surface faults. The effectiveness of this method was verified by data obtained from a 1/5th scaled roller rig. The results shown that the performance of PCA-SVM was acceptable for railway vehicle suspension system monitoring. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

As the demand for reliable power supply in power systems grows, ensuring the performance of circuit breaker operating mechanisms is crucial. This performance is pivotal to the stability of the power grid, the speed of fault recovery, and the equipment's lifespan. In this paper, we introduce a structural optimization plan for a new magnetic control operating mechanism designed for 10kV circuit breakers. Employing three-dimensional and mathematical modeling, complemented by finite element analysis with Maxwell software, we delved into an in-depth study of the mechanism's structure, performance, and materials. We further conducted a parametric design and comparative analysis of key components. The simulation results, which exclude the spring load, demonstrate that the optimized circuit breaker can achieve a closing velocity of 3.07 m/s, an electromagnetic force peaking at 2.7 kN, and a closure time minimized to 8.5 ms. These enhancements notably improve the mechanism's closing efficiency. Consequently, our research introduces a novel perspective to the field of reliability studies for magnetic control operating mechanisms. © 2024 IEEE.

In fact, the constant directivity characteristic of line array loudspeaker cannot cover all frequency. In order to expand the entire working frequency band of the constant directivity of the line array loudspeaker as much as possible, that is, to obtain a lower cut-off frequency and reduce the high frequency aliasing phenomenon, this paper proposes a frequency division shading algorithm based on the acoustic waveguide linear delay constant beamwidth transducer(CBT) array. After simulation in matlab, the sound field of traditional shading algorithm and frequency division shading algorithm is compared, it is effectively verified that the algorithm has a wider working frequency band than the traditional shading algorithm. In particular, the frequency division shading algorithm effectively reduces high-frequency aliasing phenomenon, which is difficult to overcome in traditional shading algorithms. © 2022 IEEE.

Time continuous emotion prediction problem has always been one of the difficulties in affective video content analysis. The current research mainly designs a temporally continuous long video emotion prediction method by dividing the long video into short video segments of fixed duration. These methods ignore the time dependencies between short video clips and the mood changes in short video clips. Therefore, combined with the related concepts of film and television narrative structure in cinematic language, this paper defines a prediction method for dimensional sentiment analysis of the movie and TV drama based on variable sequence length inputs. First, this paper defines a method for partitioning variable-length audiovisual sequences that set subunits of dimensional emotion prediction as variable sequence-length inputs. Then, a method for extracting and combining audio and visual features of each variable-length audiovisual sequence is proposed. Finally, a prediction network for dimensional emotion is designed based on variable sequence length inputs. This paper focuses on dimensional sentiment prediction and evaluates the proposed method on the extended COGNIMUSE dataset. The method achieves comparable performance to other methods while increasing the prediction speed, with the Mean Square Error (MSE) reduced from 0.13 to 0.11 for arousal and from 0.19 to 0.13 for valence. © 2022 IEEE.

The rapid evolution of smart grids has increased the complexity of power system structures and operational characteristics, presenting new challenges in system management and reliability. Traditional power system simulation tools struggle with non-real-time data processing and scalability due to limitations in their architectural designs. Moreover, existing cloud simulation platforms are constrained by closed hardware architectures and lack sufficient non-real-time capabilities. As a solution, we propose a novel large-scale non-real-time simulation platform for power systems based on cloud computing, designed with a modular architecture. By leveraging advanced technologies in cloud computing, parallel computing, and non-real-time simulation, our platform addresses critical needs for scalability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. We discuss how integrating these technologies enhances computational performance and supports complex simulation tasks, ultimately improving decision-making and operational efficiency in power system management. © 2024 IEEE.

Autonomous Boolean networks(ABNs)have been successfully applied to the generation of random number due to their complex nonlinear dynamics and convenient on-chip *** of the ABNs used for random number generators show a symmetric topology,despite their oscillations dependent on the inconsistency of time delays along *** address this issue,we suggest an asymmetrical autonomous Boolean network(aABN)and show numerically that it provides large amplitude oscillations by using equal time delays along links and the same logical *** results show that the chaotic features of aABN are comparable to those of symmetric ABNs despite their being made of fewer ***,we put forward a random number generator based on aABN and show that it generates the random numbers passing the NIST test suite at 100 Mbits/*** unpredictability of the random numbers is analyzed by restarting the random number generator *** aABN may replace symmetrical ABNs in many applications using fewer nodes and,in turn,reducing power consumption.

In order to improve the performance of traditional SOM model, an adaptive SOM neural network algorithm is proposed. By introducing the error square sum solution formula, the clustering error of the model sub-data set is calculated by using the method of cutting the data set, and the change trend of the clustering error is quickly obtained. Then the learning rate of the SOM network is adaptively adjusted according to this, and the convergence speed is accelerated on the basis of ensuring that the network is fully trained, thereby improving the performance of the SOM network. © 2023 SPIE.

Grain size control in quasi-two-dimensional perovskite thin film via intermediate phase engineering for efficient bound exciton generation

Quasi-two dimensional(2D)perovskites have emerged as a promising class of materials due to their remarkable photoluminescence efficiency,which stems from their exceptionally high exciton binding *** spatial confinement of excitons within smaller grain sizes could enhance the formation of biexcitons leading to higher radiative recombination ***,the synthesis of high-quality quasi-2D perovskite thin films with controllable grain sizes remains a challenging *** this study,we present a facile method for achieving quasi-2D perovskite thin films with controllable grain sizes ranging from 500 to 900 *** is accomplished by intermediate phase engineering during the film fabrication *** results demonstrate that quasi-2D perovskite films with smaller grain sizes exhibit more efficient bound exciton generation and a reduced stimulated emission threshold down to 15.89µJ cm^(−2).Furthermore,femtosecond transient absorption measurements reveal that the decay time of bound excitons is shorter in quasi-2D perovskites with smaller grain sizes compared to that of those with larger grains at the same pump density,which is 230.5 *** observation suggests a more efficient exciton recombination process in the smaller grain size *** findings would offer a promising approach for the development of efficient bound exciton lasers.

In this paper, high-speed train is regarded as a single prime point, a new tracking control method combining adaptive control and Kalman filtering is proposed. This paper solves the noise interference problem in the tracking control process of high-speed train. The method first linearises the original system, then uses Kalman filtering to do model estimation, and the controller is designed for the predictive model through adaptive control. Finally, MATLAB is used to simulate and verify the effectiveness of this method. This proposed method successfully solves the problems of nonlinearity, noise interference and unknown parameters in system. The error caused by resistance in the high-speed train tracking control process can be dealt with effectively.
