With the growing interconnection between In-Vehicle Networks (IVNs) and external environments, intelligent vehicles are increasingly vulnerable to sophisticated external network attacks. This paper proposes ATHENA, the first IVN intrusion detection framework that adopts a vehicle-cloud integrated architecture to achieve better security performance for the resource-constrained vehicular environment. Specifically, in the cloud with sufficient resources, ATHENA uses the clustering method of multi-distribution mixture model combined with deep data mining technology to generate the raw Payload Rule Bank of IVN CAN messages, and then improves the rule quality with the help of exploitation on the first-principled physical knowledge of the vehicle system, after which the payload rules are periodically sent to the vehicle terminal. At the vehicle terminal, a simple LSTM component is used to generate the Time Rule Bank representing the long-term time series dependencies and the periodic characteristics of CAN messages, but not for any detection tasks as in traditional usage scenarios, where only the generated time rules are the candidates for further IVN intrusion detection tasks. Based on both the payload and time rules generated from cloud and vehicle terminal, ATHENA can achieve efficient intrusion detection capability by simple rule-base matching operations, rather than using complex black-box reasoning of resource-intensive neural network models, which is in fact only used for rule logic generation phase instead of the actual intrusion detection phase in our framework. Comparative experimental results on the ROAD dataset, which is current the most outstanding real-world in-vehicle CAN dataset covering new instances of sophisticated and stealthy masquerade attacks, demonstrate ATHENA significantly outperforms the state-of-the-art IVN intrusion detection methods in detecting complex attacks. This article proposes an algorithm designed for autonomous quadrotors to capture target quadrotors in complex obstacle environments, enabling multiple pursuers to perform distributed capture while simultaneously avoiding obstacles and collisions. We first introduce a 3D obstacle space representation method based on safety-priority reachable region (SPRR) and implement real-time construction for general point cloud maps. Subsequently, leveraging SPRR, we employ an area minimization approach to ensure the effective capture of the evader within a limited time. The outcomes are then integrated into a MINCO-based trajectory planning framework to ensure their practical execution by real quadrotors. Relying on SPRR, the optimization problem is simplified and the solution efficiency is improved. In the scenario of simulating the dynamics of real quadrotors, we compare the proposed algorithm with state-of-the-art evasion and pursuit methods, validating its effectiveness and advancements. This work presents a practical solution for multi-quadrotor collaborative capture.

The Internet of Things (IoT) is rapidly permeating all aspects of human life, involving a network of devices that share sensitive data. A notable application is the e-healthcare systems, which employ connected sensors, medical servers, and wearable devices. However, the public nature of communication in e-healthcare systems poses challenges such as security, privacy, and authentication of participating entities. Recently, many authentication protocols have been introduced to address these challenges. However, most of these protocols remain vulnerable to various security attacks, including device or medical server impersonation, denial of service, physical or cloning, and de-synchronization attacks. Therefore, we introduce an authenticated key-management protocol utilizing hash functions and Cipher-Block Chaining-Advanced Encryption Standard encryption (CBC-AES) encryption. The proposed protocol also employs the Physical Unclonable Function (PUF), which makes it more robust and efficient in resisting physical or cloning attacks. Additionally, the proposed scheme resists various security threats, including impersonation, session key leakage, ephemeral secret leakage, and de-synchronization attacks. We analyze the scheme’s security and reliability through formal and informal analysis. The informal analysis demonstrates that the scheme encompasses crucial security features, while the formal analysis substantiates. Moreover, performance analysis of the proposed protocol with various competing results indicates that our protocol achieves an average reduction in communication and computation overheads by 36.03.% and 41.79%, respectively. © 2014 IEEE.

Air Pollution Monitoring By Integrating Local and Global Information in Self-Adaptive Multiscale Transform Domain

As the deadliest form of pollution, air pollution had a prolonged severe damage to the human health and life safety of nearly 99% of the world's population. Facing to the problem that billions of tons of pollutants discharged into the air per year by industrial activities, this paper proposed a novel image-based air pollution monitor (IAPM) by incorporating local and global information in the self-adaptive multiscale transform domain, so as to achieve the timely and effective leakage detection of typical air pollutants from a single image. To be specific, this paper first developed a screen-shaped module according to two significant findings in visual neuroscience, which include the high sensitivity of human eyes to horizontal and vertical stimuli and the center-surround inhibition, by designing and fusing the square module, horizontal strip module and vertical strip module parallelly for simulating the behaviour of human eyes to extract local features. Second, the learnable weights and proportional mapping were applied to incorporate the screen-shaped module and lightweight vision transformer as backbone, towards more richly exploiting and fusing local and global information just as the way a brain perceives external stimuli. Third, a new self-adaptive multiscale transform domain method was devised based on two motivations from the visual characteristics of multiscale perception and the brain characteristics of self-adaptive domain transform to modify the backbone by using the operations of pooling and pointwise convolution. Extensive experiments implemented on the datasets of carbon particulate matters and ethylene leakage confirmed the superior monitoring performance of the proposed IAPM model beyond the state-of-the-art (SOTA) peers by an accuracy gain of about 4%. Furthermore, the proposed IAPM model only required 0.089 GFLOPs and 0.15 million model parameters, remarkably outperforming SOTA competitors in computational efficiency and storage resources. © 1999-2

Cellular-connected unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) communications is an enabling technology to transmit control signaling or payload data for UAVs through cellular networks. Due to the line-of-sight dominant air-to-ground channels, efficient interference mitigation is crucial to UAV communications, while the conventional fixed-position antenna (FPA) arrays have limited degrees of freedom to suppress the interference between the UAV and its non-associated co-channel base stations (BSs). To address this challenge, we propose in this letter a new approach by utilizing the six-dimensional movable antenna (6DMA) arrays to enhance the interference mitigation for the UAV. Specifically, we propose an efficient block coordinate descent algorithm to iteratively optimize the antenna position vector, array rotation vector, receive beamforming vector, and associated BS of the UAV to maximize its signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio. Numerical results show that the proposed 6DMA enhanced cellular-connected UAV communication can significantly outperform that with the traditional FPA arrays and other benchmark schemes in terms of interference mitigation. © 2025 IEEE. Fueled by advancements in intelligent transportation systems, the Internet of Vehicles (IoV) seeks to connect smart vehicles, road infrastructure, and users into a unified network, enhancing traffic efficiency and reducing accident risks. Centralized cloud data collection raises concerns about privacy and communication overhead. To address these, Distributed Edge Intelligence (DEI) reduces transmission costs and improves privacy by implementing machine learning at the network edge. In this context, Cooperative Adaptive Cruise Control (CACC) systems, combined with DEI in the IoV framework, enhance transportation system intelligence through real-time data processing and decentralized decision-making. This paper proposes a modeling and analysis method for CACC systems based on Petri nets. The datasets are automatically generated using tools developed by our team, and machine learning methods are utilized to perform risk prediction analysis on the CACC model. From the perspective of Petri nets synchronization, we propose risk mitigation strategies from a design standpoint. The research results show that the proposed method significantly reduces signal accumulation and enhances synchronization in CACC systems. This improvement provides new theoretical support and technical guidance for the design and implementation of CACC systems, ultimately enhancing their safety and reliability. © 2025 IEEE.

Pathological image diagnosis is a fundamental and critical component of precision medicine, playing a pivotal role in clinical decision-making. However, due to the high heterogeneity of pathological images, existing models still face the challenges of insufficient feature representation, poor interpretability, and high computational costs. To address these issues, we propose a novel pathological image diagnosis model called GDKansformer, which integrates the Group-wise Dynamic Kolmogorov–Arnold Network with a Vision Transformer (ViT) architecture. Specifically, this model employs adaptive dynamic fitting and group-wise computation strategies to seamlessly embed an improved Kolmogorov–Arnold Network (KAN) into ViTs, thereby boosting pathological representation and interpretability. The proposed group-wise computation strategy effectively mitigates the distribution overfitting caused by the KAN structure and significantly reduces the computational costs. Furthermore, a Multi-view Gated Attention (MVGA) block comprising pixel-level non-local neighborhoods and adaptive local perception is designed to eliminate redundant non-feature information and enhance contextual interactions, thereby improving the feature discrimination of the model for high heterogeneity data distributions. Experimental results demonstrate that GDKansformer achieves high accuracy with lower parameters, highlighting the significant potential in facilitating pathological diagnosis. © 2025

Multi-Disease-Aware Training Strategy for Cardiac MR Image Segmentation

Accurate segmentation of the ventricles from cardiac magnetic resonance images (CMRIs) is crucial for enhancing the diagnosis and analysis of heart conditions. Deep learning-based segmentation methods have recently garnered significant attention due to their impressive performance. However, these segmentation methods are typically good at partitioning regularly shaped organs, such as the left ventricle (LV) and the myocardium (MYO), whereas they perform poorly on irregularly shaped organs, such as the right ventricle (RV). In this study, we argue that this limitation of segmentation models stems from their insufficient generalization ability to address the distribution shift of segmentation targets across slices, cardiac phases, and disease conditions. To overcome this issue, we present a Multi-Disease-Aware Training Strategy (MTS) and restructure the introduced CMRI datasets into multi-disease datasets. Additionally, we propose a specialized data processing technique for preprocessing input images to support the MTS. To validate the effectiveness of our method, we performed control group experiments and cross-validation tests. The experimental results show that (1) network models trained using our proposed strategy achieved superior segmentation performance, particularly in RV segmentation, and (2) these networks exhibited robust performance even when applied to data from unknown diseases. Large-scale human mobility data contains rich spatial and temporal information for urban sensing, crowd flow modeling, and urban planning. However, it is usually difficult to access wide-coverage, long-term, and consistent-time human mobility data. Most of the publicly available datasets are actually only records of discontinuous trajectories of a very small portion of urban citizens in asynchronous time due to the limited usage of apps for location data collection or the limited number of volunteers. To address this problem and empower open urban research, this paper constructs a high-quality human mobility dataset by generating large-scale citizen trajectories based on massive cellular signaling data. Particularly, we first propose a heatmap diffusion module to generate a probability heatmap that produces plausible trajectories at both the individual and city scales. Then, we propose a masked trajectory AutoEncoder, which can generate individual trajectory embeddings from partially given or empty trajectories. Third, a flexible framework is provided to incorporate the heatmap diffusion module with the masked trajectory embeddings, demonstrating significant flexibility in handling both fully masked trajectories for city-wide analysis and partially masked trajectories for specific locations. We have conducted extensive experiments to validate the utility of the regenerated trajectories at both individual and region levels for various applications. Numerous case studies further illustrate that our model learns not only the distribution of the trajectories but also the semantics of different urban *** summary, this paper provides a Heatmap Diffusion framework based on a Masked Trajectory AutoEncoder to regenerate flexible trajectories for open urban research. The metaverse is undergoing repaid evolution with metaverse services emerging as a significant focal point of research across virtual reality, augmented reality, and metaverse social networking. However, a key challenge lies in the scarcity of datasets that accurately represent metaverse services, impeding the advancement of metaverse service technologies and applications. To address this challenge, we have categorized metaverse services into virtual scene services and meta-services. Subsequently, we introduced a metaverse service dataset called "VMeta". VMeta encompasses comprehensive information about virtual scene services and meta-services, including essential QoS (Quality of Service) data. This dataset serves as a valuable resource for researchers exploring various aspects of metaverse services, with the ultimate goal of enhancing user satisfaction in the metaverse. We have conducted evaluations and tests on VMeta to optimize metaverse QoS. The results demonstrate its substantial value for metaverse service research.
