Unsupervised multiview feature selection dependent on similar or clustering structures has dramatically progressed, but both ignore the mutually reinforcing relationship between structure learning. Firstly, the two methods of appeal ignore the possibility of shared joint learning, although they can learn coherent information. Secondly, they are inadequate for data structure learning and lack awareness of co-learning global and local structures. This paper proposes an unsupervised feature selection method (SCSF_FS) that integrates similarity and clustering structures learning to capture intrinsic information in data. Specifically, we use latent space learning to partition multiple data matrices into view-specific base matrices and clustering metrics. Structural learning is used to transform specific clustering metrics into coherent clustering structures. In addition, adaptive weights are used on each view’s similarity matrix to learn a consistent similarity structure, while laplacian graph learning is introduced to unify the similarity and clustering structures. Consequently, a unified framework is designed to unify multiview consistency learning, global structure, and local structure preservation. Moreover, an optimization iteration algorithm is designed to solve it. Comparison with eight algorithms shows the effectiveness of the proposed method.

To explore the robustness of recommender systems, researchers have proposed various shilling attack models and analyzed their adverse effects. Primitive attacks are highly feasible but less effective due to simplistic handcrafted rules, while upgraded attacks are more powerful but costly and difficult to deploy because they require more knowledge from recommendations. In this paper, we explore a novel shilling attack called Graph cOnvolution-based generative shilling ATtack (GOAT) to balance the attacks' feasibility and effectiveness. GOAT adopts the primitive attacks' paradigm that assigns items for fake users by sampling and the upgraded attacks' paradigm that generates fake ratings by a deep learning-based model. It deploys a generative adversarial network (GAN) that learns the real rating distribution to generate fake ratings. Additionally, the generator combines a tailored graph convolution structure that leverages the correlations between co-rated items to smoothen the fake ratings and enhance their authenticity. The extensive experiments on two public datasets evaluate GOAT's performance from multiple perspectives. Our study of the GOAT demonstrates technical feasibility for building a more powerful and intelligent attack model with a much-reduced cost, enables analysis the threat of such an attack and guides for investigating necessary prevention measures. This paper studies the relationship prediction problem in multi-network scenarios, aiming to overcome the network sparsity challenge where the labeled data (connected node pairs) are much less than the unlabeled data (unconnected node pairs). The TAQIL framework is proposed by using transfer learning to get knowledge from the related source networks and then use active learning to query the labels of the most informative instances from the oracle in the target network. A new query function is also proposed in order to better use the parameters output by the transfer learning method. The alternate use of transfer learning and active learning allows adaptive transfer of knowledge across multiple networks to mitigate cold start and meantime improve the prediction accuracy with active queries in the target network. The experimental results on both non-network datasets and network datasets demonstrate the significant improvement in prediction accuracy compared with several benchmark methods and related state-of-art methods. © Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2018.

Clustering analysis is important for providing personalized services across various user experience optimization. As an advanced clustering technique, Fuzzy Co-Clustering ( FCC ) excels at handling high-dimensional data by simultaneously grouping both samples and attributes while allowing objects to belong to multiple clusters. To alleviate the potential privacy risks posed by directly using raw data, researchers often employ local differential privacy (LDP) techniques for protection. However, current clustering studies under LDP either directly perform clustering on the high-dimensional data, which necessitates splitting the privacy budget heavily, leading to excessive noise injection, or fail to adequately address the impact of Laplacian noise on both objective function modeling and distance metric selection, resulting in reduced clustering accuracy. To address these limitations, we present a two-phase approach SONY , which allocates part of the privacy budget to evaluate attribute importance and perform dimensionality reduction accordingly, and then utilizes the remaining budget to conduct noise-aware clustering on the pruned data. Our key technical contributions include: (1) a Noise-aware Similarity Calculation method ( NSC ) that replaces traditional Euclidean distance with a specialized metric which accounts for the statistical properties of Laplacian noise; (2) an importance-driven dimension reduction and budget allocation method ( IDRBA ) which optimizes both attribute selection and privacy budget allocation; and (3) an outlier-aware objective function calculation method ( OOC ) which enhances robustness against potential noise-induced outliers. We provide theoretical guarantees for SONY 's convergence, privacy preservation, utility bounds, and computational complexity. Experimental evaluations conducted on two real-world datasets and one synthetic dataset, demonstrate that SONY outperforms the state-of-the-arts by at least 14% in F-Measure and 10% in Entrop

This paper analyzed theoretical basis of ecological balanced fertilization by data mining method based on the relationships among relative abundance-deficiency values of soil nutrients,optimum fertilization amounts and nutrient conversion rates of N,P and K for rice,wheat and maize in column *** results and conclusions were as follows:①the scientific basis of guiding fertilization by the relative abundance-deficiency value of soil nutrient was insufficient.②The scientific basis for predicting fertilizer amount according to nutrient conversion rate was sufficient.③There was consistency among the relative abundance-deficiency values of soil nutrients,indicating that the soil nutrient balance was important to the production.④There was some consistency among the optimum fertilizer amounts,indicating that N,P and K fertilizer should be balanced.⑤There was some consistency among nutrient conversion rates,indicating that nutrient uptake was consistent,which required the consistency among relative abundance-deficiency values of soil *** there was inconsistency,it needed to be supplemented by means of fertilization.⑥The relative abundance-deficiency value of soil nutrient and optimum fertilizer amounts of other nutrients were negatively correlated mostly,indicating that if the relative abundance-deficiency value of soil nutrient was high,the others also should be high,resulting in optimum fertilizer amounts of other nutrients decreased.⑦The nutrient conversion rate was negatively correlated mostly with the optimal fertilizer amounts of other nutrients,indicating that more fertilizer amount of one nutrient lowered its own conversion rate,mean while also reduced the conversion rates of other *** embodied the unity and balance of nutrient absorption by the crops.

Under the global trend of modern quality education, the set of higher educational scholarship is aimed to reward the students who work hard both inside and outside class activities and achieve great success in kinds of academic competitions. At this time, with great emphasis by governments and outstanding construction on the educational infrastructure, the number of students in universities has been increasing dramatically. Meanwhile, during the development of the education in such a long period, universities generally accumulate a huge amount of the information concerned with the students. What the administrators always do to handle such information are merely storing, querying and doing some other basic manipulations instead of making full use of these data. For example, those manual evaluations of the educational scholarship always revolve around the rank of scholarship and the number of the students who are rewarded rather than analyzing the facts which can influence the achieving of the scholarship. As a result, the evaluation is apparently lack of fairness and efficiency. In this paper, based on C4.5 decision tree, a higher educational scholarship evaluation model is built. By using such algorithm, an efficient and fair scholarship evaluation system can be realized.

Only one globular cluster (GC), 47 Tuc, has been found to containintracluster medium, with an electron density 100 times higher than that of theISM in its vicinity. The characteristics of this intracluster medium areclosely related to GC evolution and the compact objects within. However,significant knowledge gaps remain regarding the ionized gas content of GCs,particularly in Galactic halo clusters. We carried out a polarization census ofGC pulsars using MeerKAT and FAST. This first combined effort of observationsfrom these two major radio telescopes resulted in high signal-to-noise ratio,full polarization pulse profiles for 43 pulsars in 8 GCs, doubling the numberof rotation measures (RMs) known in these clusters. The accuracy of dispersionmeasures (DMs) was improved by a factor of 8 compared to previous *** intracluster medium was found, and at least two halo GCs showed morestringent upper limits on electron density than that detected in 47 Tuc. Thesurprising barrenness of GCs suggests effective gas removal mechanisms, such asstrong winds from millisecond pulsars and/or ionizing radiation from post-AGBstars and young white dwarfs. In this study, a microstrip sensor with U-shaped resonators was designed and developed for non-invasive blood glucose measurement. The sensor comprises five U-shaped resonators forming a microstrip circuit, transmitting in the frequency ranges of 2–2.3 GHz and 3.9–4.2 GHz. Glucose solutions with concentrations from 50 mg/dL to 500 mg/dL were prepared and placed in a 3D-printed PLA container for testing. Samples were positioned non-contact on the sensor, and frequency response changes up to 6 GHz were recorded. The sensor exhibited high sensitivity, measuring 1.50 MHz per mg/dL. Due to environmental susceptibilities and the relatively low repeatability of microstrip sensors, each sample was tested five times, yielding a total of 50 measurements. These recorded responses were processed using a multilayer perceptron (MLP) neural network, which predicted glucose concentrations with a mean relative error (MRE%) of less than 2.48 %. This research highlights the development of a highly sensitive, non-invasive glucose sensor integrated with a neural network, offering precise and rapid blood glucose measurements. This system holds promise as a valuable tool for managing diabetes and other blood glucose-related conditions.

Cascaded partial decoder for fast and accurate salient object detection

Existing state-of-the-art salient object detection networks rely on aggregating multi-level features of pretrained convolutional neural networks (CNNs). Compared to high-level features, low-level features contribute less to performance but cost more computations because of their larger spatial resolutions. In this paper, we propose a novel Cascaded Partial Decoder (CPD) framework for fast and accurate salient object detection. On the one hand, the framework constructs partial decoder which discards larger resolution features of shallower layers for acceleration. On the other hand, we observe that integrating features of deeper layers obtain relatively precise saliency map. Therefore we directly utilize generated saliency map to refine the features of backbone network. This strategy efficiently suppresses distractors in the features and significantly improves their representation ability. Experiments conducted on five benchmark datasets exhibit that the proposed model not only achieves state-of-the-art performance but also runs much faster than existing models. Besides, the proposed framework is further applied to improve existing multi-level feature aggregation models and significantly improve their efficiency and accuracy. Copyright © 2019, The Authors. Background: We assessed the associations of visceral adiposity indexes such as Chinese Visceral Adiposity Index (CVAI), Visceral Adiposity Index (VAI), Lipid Accumulation Product (LAP), waist circumference (WC), and waist-hip ratio (WHR) with overall and specific cancer incidence in a Chinese population. Methods: 332,297 individuals from the Taiwan MJ cohort (1996–2007) were included. We utilized multivariable Cox proportional hazards models to examine associations of baseline visceral adiposity indexes and cancer incidences. Sex-specific CVAI, VAI, and LAP were calculated, incorporating WC and triglycerides levels. CVAI and VAI also included body mass index and high-density lipoprotein, with CVAI further incorporating age. Results: Higher CVAI was consistently associated with higher overall cancer incidence, with HRs of 1.45 (95% CI: 1.2–1.76) and 2.03 (95% CI: 1.52–2.72) for males and females, respectively, comparing the fifth quintile to the first. The HRs for WC were 1.27 (95% CI: 1.08–1.49) and 1.19 (95% CI: 1.01–1.40) for males and females, WHR was significantly associated with cancer risk in males (HR:1.28;95% CI: 1.13–1.45), and LAP was significantly associated with cancer risk in females (HR: 1.25;95% CI: 1.04–1.5). VAI was not associated with overall cancer incidence. Discussion: CVAI is a superior clinical biomarker for predicting cancer incidence in the Chinese population compared to traditional visceral obesity indices.
