Anomaly detection refers to the identification of data objects that deviate from the general data distribution. One of the important challenges in anomaly detection is handling high-dimensional data, especially when it contains a large number of redundant attributes. Although traditional Isolation Forest (iForest) and Extended Isolation Forest (EIF) have performed well in anomaly detection, the detection accuracy is still extremely influenced by redundant attributes. In this paper, we propose a two-tier architecture named RS-EIF, to alleviate the negative impact of redundant attributes. Specifically, the RS-EIF combines the rough set theory and EIF algorithm and provides an effective basis for the EIF-based anomaly detection method by removing redundant attributes with rough set theory. Experimental results show that the RS-EIF algorithm performs better than the iForest and EIF algorithms in terms of anomaly detection rate, and the results of the combination of rough set theory and EIF are more prominent compared to the other combination methods.

Social platforms, while facilitating access to information, have also become saturated with a plethora of fake news, resulting in negative consequences. Automatic multimodal fake news detection is a worthwhile pursuit. Existing multimodal fake news datasets only provide binary labels of real or fake. However, real news is alike, while each fake news is fake in its own way. These datasets fail to reflect the mixed nature of various types of multimodal fake news. To bridge the gap, we construct an attributing multi-granularity multimodal fake news detection dataset AMG, revealing the inherent fake pattern. Furthermore, we propose a multi-granularity clue alignment model MGCA to achieve multimodal fake news detection and attribution. Experimental results demonstrate that AMG is a challenging dataset, and its attribution setting opens up new avenues for future research. © 2025, Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (***). The centralized control plane characteristic of Software Defined Networking (SDN) makes it a prime target for Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks. A significant issue in network traffic data is the severe imbalance between background traffic and various types of DDoS attack traffic. To address this challenge, we propose a novel DDoS detection model based on single-class cluster oversampling and weighted ensemble method. Initially, we design a multi-strategy feature selection using variance inflation factor and recursive feature elimination. Next, we construct a single-class cluster model based on the spatial distribution of samples, and create minority class samples independently within each cluster. Finally, detection results are determined using the weight vector of each base classifier in ensemble learning. The proposed DDoS detection model's performance is validated through simulations of various DDoS attack scenarios in an SDN environment. Experimental results indicate that the proposed strategy exhibits superior performance, showing improvements in precision, recall, and F1 score compared to state-of-the-art techniques.

Panoramic image plays an extremely important role in the application of 3D, but in some special scenarios, the depth information is also needed as an auxiliary, but to obtain the panoramic depth information needs a high cost, it is extremely difficult to obtain. Therefore, this paper proposes a panoramic depth estimation method called PDEGAN (Panoramic Depth Estimation Generative Adversarial Network). This method first enhances the style migration, transfers the input panoramic image to a style closer to the panoramic depth image domain, and then combines the conversion results with the original panoramic image as the input data for further depth estimation training. By using the style closer to the depth estimation, the texture, color and other characteristics of the image can be adjusted, so as to better highlight the depth information of the object in the image, so that the generator network is more focused on performing the image translation task, reduce the impact of style differences on the image translation task, and improve the generalization ability of the model. At the same time, the model will also use multi-scale feature fusion, combined with the attention mechanism, to better capture the depth information of different scales, viewing angles and channels. Not only that, but also by introducing depth gradient loss, surface normal loss to improve the accuracy and stability of depth estimation. To this end, we also made a set of related datasets for the related experiments of PDEGAN, and named it PDE Images. Finally, it is shown that the method proposed in this paper has more accurate estimation results than the traditional Pix2Pix image conversion model. © 2024, Taiwan Ubiquitous Information CO LTD. Graphs widely exist in real-world, and Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) have exhibited exceptional efficacy in graph learning in diverse fields. With the strengthening of data privacy protection worldwide in recent years, Federated graph neural networks (FedGNNs) have gained increasing attention in academia and industry owing to their ability to train the model in a collaborative manner while complying with the privacy protection regulations. However, in federated learning, the non-independent and identically distributed (non-IID) problem of local data possessed by multiple participants can significantly undermine model accuracy. We propose a new Decentralized Federated Graph Normalized AutoEncoder (D-FGNAE). First, the model is designed as a decentralized federated learning framework with dynamically assigned tripartite roles. This design eliminates the fixed server role found in traditional federated learning, enhances system fault tolerance, avoids single points of failure, and protects model privacy. Second, the splitting and correcting of calculation by layer in the model, along with the special design of the normalization layer, effectively tackle the non-IID problem in both the structural and attribute aspects. Experimental results on real-world networks demonstrate the effectiveness of D-FGNAE, which can achieve nearly the same accuracy as the centralized model. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

Unified stream and batch computing (USBC) aims to incorporate stream and batch computation into a unified framework, thereby enabling the development of a one-stop solution for stream and batch data processing and enhancing the generalization of the framework. However, research on unified graph computing models (UGCMs) faces several challenges. First, existing UGCMs need to consider all graph information in the cache during the incremental update phase, thus leading to decreased execution efficiency. Second, existing UGCMs use fixed bytes to store nodes without considering the actual space occupied by nodes resulting in wasted memory when dealing with large graphs. This paper proposes a UGCM with Local Updates for community detection (UGCM-LU). We first implement a local update strategy to consider partial information of the graph to achieve incremental updates. Secondly, we also designed a byte-compression-based module to store graph data according to the space occupied by nodes. Fuzzing is increasingly being utilized as a method to test the reliability of Deep Learning (DL) systems. In order to detect more errors in DL systems, exploring the internal logic of more DNNs has become the main objective of fuzzing. Despite advancements in the seed selection aspect of fuzzing, considerable opportunities still exist for improving testing efficiency. Current research has issues with the repeated consideration of neurons in the model that will be covered in the future by other seeds, leading to redundant seeds and lower testing efficiency. Additionally, there is a lack of a method to measure the potential of seeds to increase coverage, making it difficult to select the most worthy seeds for mutation in each iteration. We propose an uncovered neurons information based (UNIB) fuzzing method for DNN. UNIB uses clustering methods to organize the seed queue based on initial seed data, aiming to enhance the coverage rate improved in each iteration. It also integrates coverage information from the testing phase to identify the seeds with the greatest potential. The experimental results show that UNIB achieved a higher NC than the second-best method by 1.1% and 3% in LetNet-4 and LetNet-5, respectively. UNIB consistently required the fewest number of iterations to reach the same NC as other methods. For both LetNet-4 and LetNet-5, the adversarial test case sets generated by UNIB exhibited the highest diversity.

Road crack detection is of great significance for maintaining road quality, improving road safety, optimizing resource allocation and protecting environment. Aiming at the problems of low recognition accuracy, high false detection rate and false detection rate of existing road crack detection, an improved road crack detection algorithm YOLOv8-YP based on YOLOv8 is proposed. Firstly, the attention mechanism GAM is introduced into the backbone network and neck network to enhance the ability of extracting features of different scales from fracture images. Secondly, SPDConv is used to replace Conv in the backbone network to improve the recognition rate of slender and tiny cracks in the backbone network. Finally, DIoU function is used to optimize the bounding box loss of the network, so that the network can converge quickly and provide finer detection results. The experimental results show that the improved algorithm model YOLOv8-YP and the original algorithm YOLOv8n are improved by 2.2% and 2.3% in mAP @ 0.5 and mAP @ 0.5: 0.95, respectively. The improved algorithm YOLOv8-YP has better detection effect on road cracks, and can identify and locate road cracks quickly and accurately. © 2023 IEEE.

Intelligence is an important trend in the development of measurement and control systems. However, there is still a lack of unified understanding of the intelligent autonomous classification of the measurement and control system. The establishment of intelligent evaluation standards in this field has become an urgent research topic. This paper first gives an overview of the aviation measurement and control system, and then takes the classification standards of autonomy in the fields of automobile driving automation in China and the United states, the autonomy and autonomy level of typical ships in China, and the automation of civil unmanned aircraft system in China as a reference. A 5-level intelligent grading standard based on task adaptability, environmental complexity and human-computer interaction is proposed. The classification standard is practical and easy to understand. It can provide reference for the establishment of intelligent standards for measurement and control systems, improve the application speed of intelligent autonomous technology in the field of measurement and control, and broaden the application prospect of intelligent measurement and control systems.

Existing methods estimate treatment effects from observational data and assume that covariates are all confounders. However, observed covariates may not directly represent confounding variables that influence both treatment and outcome. They always include variables that only affect the treatment or the outcome. In addition, for multi-dimensional binary treatments, disentangled methods are mainly designed for binary variables and ignore the impact of multi-cause treatment variables on the inference of latent factors. To address these two issues, based on variable decomposition and proxy inference, we propose the Disentangled Latent Factors for Multi-cause Treatment Estimation (DEMTE) algorithm. It utilizes an identifiable autoencoder to infer and disentangle latent factors based on the joint distribution of variables in observational data. DEMTE evaluates the treatment effect on the disentangled factors. Synthetic experiments and semi-synthetic experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of the inference and disentanglement techniques and our method achieves more accurate treatment effect estimation. © 2024 Institute of Physics Publishing.
