Due to the needs of medical and military fields, Camouflaged Object Detection (COD) becomes one of important branches of object detection. It has gradually gained people’s attention in recent years. How to correctly locate camouflaged objects accurately segment them are the main problems in this field. The COD task is far different from SOD because of the more complex background with similar colors and textures. Therefore it is more challenging. At present, there are still few existing methods, and lacks targeted method for the edge detection problem. In this paper, we propose a novel Two-Stage Polishing Network (TSPNet). This network consists of Front Feature Fusion Module (FFFM) and Polishing Module (PM). FFFM adopts Cross-modal Feature Aggregation and Global and Local Feature Aggregation to capture global context information and detail local information simultaneously. Meanwhile, PM uses edge truth map as supervision imformation to further study the object edge features. The experiments was conducted on three available datasets and the result shows that the proposed framework outperforms state-of-the-arts. Besides, TSPNet is compact with 50% model size saving than existed COD models. © 2021, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Joint analysis of multiple phenotypes can have better interpretation of complex diseases and increase statistical power to detect more significant single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)compare to traditional single phenotype analysis in genome-wide association *** component analysis(PCA),as a popular dimension reduction method,has been broadly used in the analysis of multiple *** PCA transforms the original phenotypes into principal components(PCs),it is natural to think that by analyzing these PCs,we can combine information across *** PCA-based methods can be divided into two categories,either selecting one particular PC manually or combining information from all *** this paper,we propose an adaptive principle component test(APCT)which selects and combines the PCs adaptively by using Cauchy combination *** proposed method can be seen as a generalization of traditional PCA based method since it contains two existing methods as special *** simulation shows that our method is robust and can generate powerful result in various *** real data analysis of stock mice data also demonstrate that our proposed APCT can identify significant SNPs that are missed by traditional methods.

In this paper,we present a novel nonparallel support vector machine based on one optimization problem(NSVMOOP)for binary *** NSVMOOP is formulated aiming to separate classes from the largest possible angle between the normal vectors and the decision hyperplanes in the feature space,at the same time implementing the structural risk minimization *** from other nonparallel classifiers,such as the representative twin support vector machine,it constructs two nonparallel hyperplanes simultaneously by solving a single quadratic programming problem,on which a modified sequential minimization optimization algorithm is *** NSVMOOP is analyzed theoretically and implemented *** results on both artificial and publicly available benchmark datasets show its feasibility and effectiveness.

Analysis on the Effect of Government Investment on Private Investment in Western China——Take Province A as an Example

Since China began reforming and opening up its economy,and especially since the launch of development projects in western China,province A has attracted an increasing amount of investment,which is the main driving force for provincial economic ***,this study uses a state space model to examine how government investment has affected economic growth in province A in western China,and explains whether there is a crowding-in effect or a crowding-out effect of local government investment on private *** findings indicate that both government and private investments have a positive,stimulating influence on economic growth in province A,with the latter being more impactful than the *** and non-productive investments have different effects on province A’s economic *** the perspective of the trajectory of government investment elasticity,the elasticity of government and private investments in province A presents a very large spatio-temporal *** is,from 1994 to 2009,government investment in province A had a crowding-in effect on private investment,but from 2010 to 2017,a crowding-out effect was observed.

China’s grain science and technology policies have played an important role in the development of China’s food *** paper aims to examine the effects of China’s grain science and technology policies on food *** quantitatively assesses China’s food security by analyzing the main contents and development trends of China’s food science technology policies through the text metrology method,and then investigates the effects of grain science and technology policies on food security by employing a provincial dynamic panel *** results show that food security in China is all-round developed,and that the release frequency and cumulative effect of grain science and technology policies play a significant role in promoting food *** grain science and technology policies can effectively guarantee China’s food security.

Cooperation in Two-Stage Games on Undirected Networks

In the paper, cooperative two-stage network games are studied. At the first stage of the game, players form a network, while at the second stage players choose their behaviors according to the network realized at the first stage. As a cooperative solution concept in the game, the core is *** is proved that some imputations from the core are time inconsistent, whereas one can design for them a time-consistent imputation distribution procedure. Moreover, the strong time consistency problem is also investigated.

This paper focuses on overall and sub-process supply chain efficiency evaluation using a network slacks-based measure model and an undesirable directional distance model. Based on a case analysis of a leading Chinese B2 C firm W, a two-stage supply chain structure covering procurementstock and inventory-sale management is constructed. The research shows overall supply chain inefficiency is attributable to procurement-stock conversion inefficiency. From a view of operations model,the third-party platform model is more efficient than a "shop in shop" self-operated model. However,the self-operated mode performs better in product categories such as computer & Office & digital, food& drink and healthy products due to these products' delivery characteristics and consumers' shopping habits. In the logistics selection, most e-retail players are inclined to choose the hybrid model of 3 PL and self-operated logistics with the product category extension from vertical model to all-category model. These findings may help managers improve supplier-buyer relationship and strengthen supply chain management. This research offers a new explanation regarding the failure of e-retail supply chain.

Based on the authors’ previous work on the research on the evaluation of artificial intelligence (AI) intelligence quotient and the Standard Intelligent Model, this paper proposes three laws of intelligence for interpreting the concepts of intelligence, wisdom, consciousness, life and non-life. The first law is called "M Law of Intelligence" where any Agent can be regarded as a system that has the abilities to input, output, storage (master) and creative (innovate) knowledge. The second law is called "Ω Law of Intelligence" in which any Agent is affected by new "forces" FΩ and Fα derived in this paper, which evolve to Ωpoint whose knowledge processing ability is infinite, or converge to αpoint whose knowledge processing ability is zero. The third law is called "Α Law of Intelligence", that is, when an Agent changes surrounding αpoint, the entire Universe relative to the Agent will also change between infinity and zero. The Three Laws need to be validated by a biochemical experiment method, an AI system intelligence evaluation experiment method or the computer program simulation experiment method. © 2020, Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature.

The Effect of Industrial Structure Change on Carbon Dioxide Emissions: A Cross-Country Panel Analysis

Reduction of carbon dioxide(CO2)emissions is one of the biggest challenges for global sustainable development,in which economic growth characterized by industrialization plays a formidable *** innovatively adopted the input and output(I-O)table of 41 countries released by World I-O database to determine the industrial structure change and analyze its impact on CO2 emission evolution by developing a cross-country panel *** empirical results show that industrial structure change has a significantly negative effect on CO2 emissions;to be specific,0.1 unit increase in the linkage of manufacturing sector and service sector will lead to a decrease of 0.94 metric tons per capita CO2 emissions,indicating that upgrading industrial structure contributes to carbon mitigation and sustainable ***,urbanization,technology and trade openness have significantly negative impact on CO2 emissions,while economy growth and energy use take positive *** particular,a 1%increase in per capita income will contribute to an increase of 8.6 metric tons per capita CO2 ***,the effect of industrial structure on environment degradation is moderated by technology *** findings fill the gaps of previous literature and provide valuable references for effective policies to mitigate CO2 emissions and achieve sustainable development.
