With the widespread application of digital assets and the rapid development of blockchain technology, achieving secure and efficient transactions between different blockchain networks has become an urgent challenge. Existing cross-chain methods impose limitations, e.g., hash lock technology exhibits low scalability, side-chain technology is overly complex, and notary schemes pose centralization risks. In order to address these issues, we propose a cross-chain transaction solution based on proxy re-signature technology. To tackle the centralization concerns, we employ proxy re-signature technology to decentralize the authority of notaries among transaction participants, minimizing the potential for centralization at a low cost. We further present an extended scheme that can guarantee more requirements such as higher transaction amount and shorter transaction time. Furthermore, we analyze and compare the signature technologies used in the proposed solution and provide a systematic proof of our approach’s security.

The proliferation of vehicles and the intricate layout of road systems have contributed to a significant rise in traffic accidents, posing a pressing concern globally. Despite the advancements facilitated by deep learning, several challenges persist in the domain of traffic accident prediction. Firstly, the sparsity of accident data in certain city regions presents a significant obstacle, particularly when attempting fine-grained predictions at a local level. Secondly, the intricate spatial-temporal relations inherent in traffic accident data pose a challenge for existing prediction models. In response to these formidable challenges, this paper presents GLST-TARP, a novel model for predicting traffic accident risk in urban environments by leveraging both global semantic and localized geographic spatial-temporal relations. Specifically, we construct multi-graphs to encode global static and dynamic spatial relations, incorporating attention mechanisms to adaptively focus on relevant information and temporal relations. Additionally, we employ channel-wise convolutional neural network blocks to extract localized geographic features and enhance predictive accuracy. The proposed model is trained using a Huber loss function tailored for regression tasks, relieving the impact of zero values during optimization. Experimental results demonstrate that GLST-TARP outperforms state-of-the-art methods in predicting traffic accident risks, showcasing its potential for enhancing urban safety and transportation management. © 2024, The Authors. We prove that the native space of a Wu function is a dense subspace of a Sobolev space. An explicit characterization of the native spaces of Wu functions is given. Three definitions of Wu functions are introduced and proven to be equivalent. Based on these new equivalent definitions and the so called f-form tricks, we can generalize the Wu functions into the even-dimensional spaces R2k, while the original Wu functions are only defined in the odd-dimensional spaces R2k+1. Such functions in even-dimensional spaces are referred to as the ‘missing Wu functions’. Furthermore we can generalize the Wu functions into ‘fractional’-dimensional spaces. We call all these Wu functions the generalized Wu functions. The closed form of the generalized Wu functions are given in terms of hypergeometric functions. Osteoporosis(OP),a systemic and chronic bone disease,is distinguished by low bone mass and destruction of bone *** Compound-K(CK),one of the metabolites of ginsenoside Rb1,has anti-aging,anti-inflammatory,anti-cancer,and hypolipidemic *** have demonstrated CK could promote osteogenesis and fracture healing in our previous ***,the contribution of CK to osteoporosis has not been *** the present study,we investigated the effect of CK on osteoclastogenesis and ovariectomy(OVX)-induced *** results showed that CK inhibited receptor activator for nuclear factor-κB ligand(RANKL)-mediated osteoclast differentiation and reactive oxygen species(ROS)activity by inhibiting the phosphorylation of NF-κB p65 and oxidative stress in RAW264.7 *** addition,we also demonstrated that CK could inhibit bone resorption using bone marrow-derived ***,we demonstrated that CK attenuated bone loss by suppressing the activity of osteoclast and alleviating oxidative stress in *** together,these results showed CK could inhibit osteoclastogenesis and prevent OVX-induced bone loss by inhibiting NF-κB signaling pathway.

Unsupervised skin lesion segmentation offers several benefits, such as conserving expert human resources, reducing discrepancies caused by subjective human labeling, and adapting to novel environments. However, segmenting dermoscopic images without manual labeling guidance is a challenging task due to image artifacts such as hair noise, blister noise, and subtle edge differences. In this paper, we introduce an innovative Uncertainty Self-Learning Network (USL-Net) to eliminate the need for manual labeling guidance for the segmentation. Initially, features are extracted using contrastive learning, followed by the generation of Class Activation Maps (CAMs) as saliency maps. High-saliency regions in the map serve as pseudo-labels for lesion regions while low-saliency regions represent the background. Besides, intermediate regions can be hard to classify, often due to their proximity to lesion edges or interference from hair or blisters. Rather than risking potential pseudo-labeling errors or learning confusion by forcefully classifying these regions, they are taken as uncertainty regions by exempted from pseudo-labeling and allowing the network to self-learning. Further, we employ connectivity detection and centrality detection to refine foreground pseudo-labels and reduce noise-induced errors. The performance is further enhanced by the iterated refinement process. The experimental validation on ISIC-2017, ISIC-2018, and PH2 datasets demonstrates that its performance is comparable to supervised methods, and exceeds that of other existing unsupervised methods. On the typical ISIC-2017 dataset, our method outperforms state-of-the-art unsupervised methods by 1.7% in accuracy, 6.6% in Dice coefficient, 4.0% in Jaccard index, and 10.6% in sensitivity. There is growing interest in globally modelling the entire *** topological relations between spherical simple regions and topological relations between regions with holes in the plane have been investigated,few studies have focused on the topological relations between spherical spatial regions with *** 16-intersection model(16IM)is proposed to describe the topological relations between spatial regions with holes.A total of 25 negative conditions are proposed to eliminate the impossible topological relations between spherical spatial regions with *** results show that(1)3 disjoint relations,3 meet relations,66 overlap relations,7 cover relations,3 contain relations,1 equal relation,7 coveredBy relations,3 inside relations,1 attach relation,52 entwined relations,and 28 embrace relations can be distinguished by the 16IM and that(2)the formalisms of attach,entwined,and embrace relations between the spherical spatial regions without holes based on the 9IM and that between the spherical spatial regions with holes based on the simplified 16IM are different,whereas the formalisms of other types of relations between spherical spatial regions without holes based on the 9IM and that between the spherical spatial regions with holes based on a simplified 16IM are the same.

Optimizing Vertical Alignment Of Underground Metro for Energy Saving of Train Operation

Existing studies on saving energy consumption of train movement (ECTM) have focused mainly on optimizing train operation and service timetable. However, the ECTM is also significantly affected by metro vertical alignment. This paper presents a mathematical model for optimizing the vertical alignment between any two adjacent underground metro stations, with the objective of minimizing the total ECTM in both train-running directions. To solve the proposed model, a customized genetic algorithm (GA) with an indirect coding method is developed. Case studies on two real-world metro lines show that the vertical alignments optimized by the model outperform that designed by experienced consultants in the ECTM savings;and the average energy saving rate on the total ECTM in a train’s round trip exceeds 5%. In addition, the principles of designing metro vertical alignment with particular consideration of saving ECTM are summarized, which can be of great reference value to future vertical alignment design. © 2022, The Authors. Long term results in children underwent nuss procedure preschool with pectus excavatum: Real-world study with propensity matching

Background: It is controversial when surgery should be performed for pectus excavatum (PE). The study retrospectively compared the long-term prognosis in PE children undergoing the Nuss procedure at the age of 4–6 versus those performing surgery at the age of 12–14. Methods: 178 patients were included in the retrospective real-world research. Clinical Characteristics were collected at baseline. The endpoint of the study was set as the last follow-up at the age of 18 in outpatient services. Satisfaction and complication rate were set as the primary outcome and were collected at the endpoint. Hospital stay post-surgery and analgesia dosage were regard as the secondary outcome. To reduce potential bias between two different age groups, propensity score matching (PSM) analysis was analysized. Results: The oral analgesic dosage of children in the 4–6 years old age group is significantly lower than that of the 12–14 years old group (0.70/kg, 0.30–1.50/kg versus 1.50/kg, 0.90–2.30/kg, P < 0.001), and children in the younger age group are discharged earlier. There was no difference in overall satisfaction (89.1 %, versus 88.20 %, P = 0.99) and recurrence rate (7.2 %, versus 6.8 %, P = 0.99) between the two groups of when they reach the age of 18. Conclusions: Performing Nuss procedure at the age of 4–6 does not affect the overall long-term satisfaction of the child or increase the long-term recurrence rate. Surgical intervention in children with pectus excavatum preschool can provide a better postoperative experience in hospital compared with intervention in adolescent. © 2024 The Authors
