In order to avoid decision makers from making wrong decisions as much as possible and reduce the losses caused by wrong decisions, a new aggregation method of interval loss function is proposed based on incomplete information system. Firstly, the missing values are filled according to their characteristics and combined with probability, and on this basis, the measurement method of similarity is given, and the horizontal similarity class of each object is obtained according to the similarity between objects. Secondly, according to the number of times each object in the similar class appears in its corresponding horizontal similar class, the corresponding weight is obtained;Then the interval loss function of similar class is defined as the aggregation of interval loss functions of all objects in similar class, and each interval is weighted according to the weight, so that multiple intervals in similar class are aggregated into an interval, and then the aggregated interval is converted into a single value by using the conversion function. Finally, according to the aggregation method, three decision rules are given to make decisions, and the effectiveness of the method is verified by a case. © 2023 The authors and IOS Press.

Accurate prediction of future traffic flow trends is essential to solve urban transportation problems. However, traffic flow prediction faces great challenges due to the multimodal nature of pedestrian behavior and the complexity of the traffic environment. Although a large number of studies have been conducted to investigate these issues in depth, there are still some limitations. In order to address these challenges more effectively, we propose a pedestrian trajectory prediction model based on long-short-term memory networks (LSTMs): the DIR-LSTM. The model introduces an innovative generalized direction mechanism and a self-attention mechanism, which captures pedestrian movement patterns more comprehensively and accurately by predicting overall directional movements first and then gradually subdividing them into individual directions of movement. The DIR-LSTM is designed to address the challenges posed by the diversity of pedestrian behaviors and the complexity of urban environments. To validate the state-of-the-art of the model, we conducted experiments using the publicly available ETH [10] and UCY [9] datasets. The experiments demonstrate that DIR-LSTM performs better in terms of accuracy compared to other models, providing a more reliable prediction tool for future urban traffic management. © 2023 ACM.

Intelligence is an important trend in the development of measurement and control systems. However, there is still a lack of unified understanding of the intelligent autonomous classification of the measurement and control system. The establishment of intelligent evaluation standards in this field has become an urgent research topic. This paper first gives an overview of the aviation measurement and control system, and then takes the classification standards of autonomy in the fields of automobile driving automation in China and the United states, the autonomy and autonomy level of typical ships in China, and the automation of civil unmanned aircraft system in China as a reference. A 5-level intelligent grading standard based on task adaptability, environmental complexity and human-computer interaction is proposed. The classification standard is practical and easy to understand. It can provide reference for the establishment of intelligent standards for measurement and control systems, improve the application speed of intelligent autonomous technology in the field of measurement and control, and broaden the application prospect of intelligent measurement and control systems. © 2023 IEEE.

With the continuous development of information technology, artificial intelligence fire automatic alarm system is gradually developed. However, the current system is based on a single sensor for identification, when a fire still uses manual active fire extinguishing, low efficiency in handling fire, high failure rate, poor system scalability, poor anti-interference ability, high false alarm rate. At the same time, the recognition accuracy is low, the processing speed and intelligence are also insufficient. Therefore. To address the above problems, this study designs a multi-sensor artificial intelligence fire prevention system using smoke and temperature sensors. The fire prevention system can send alarm signals at the earliest stage of fire and can intelligently extinguish the fire, so that the disaster can be controlled and extinguished by taking measures in advance. Meanwhile, the system can continue to work even if one of the sensors is not working properly. © 2023 SPIE.

Background: There is a shortage of rehabilitation doctors and treatment equipment for patients with lumbar spondylosis. Therefore, a waist massage instrument (WMI) is designed to help patients alle-viate lumbar pain. Objective: The objective of this study is to design a new WMI with the advantages of simple structure, lightweight, and function of effective force control, and to verify its function of palmar push, palmar press, and palmar vibration based on the on-off control, PID control, and fuzzy-PID control. Methods: Firstly, the movement characteristics of the Chinese massage manipulation are analyzed to clarify the design principle of the massage instrument. Then, a new WMI composed of massage head, vibration exciter, and actuator is designed to simulate the three massage manipulations. Next, the electric control system and control methods of on-off, PID, and fuzzy-PID controllers are introduced to realize the force control of WMI. Finally, the force control experiments of WMI are carried out to verify the function of the palmar press, palmar push, and palmar vibration based on the on-off control, PID control, and fuzzy-PID control, respectively. Results: The experimental results indicate that the proposed WMI can implement the massage manipulations of palmar push, palmar press, and palmar vibration well, and has good force control ability after using fuzzy-PID control. Conclusion: The newly designed WMI is effective in providing palmar push, palmar press, and palmar vibration massage manipulations for patients with lumbar spondylosis, and the fuzzy-PID controller im-proves the force control ability of the instrument. The WMI has the potential to be used as an effective treatment for lumbar pain. © 2023 Bentham Science Publishers.

The unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) cooperative multi-task allocation systems have been widely used in recent years in areas such as land aerial photography, transportation of materials in disaster areas and so on. With the increase of the complex relationship between the mission and the UAV, it is difficult for genetic algorithm to find the global optimal solution in the search process. This paper proposes a new Multi-Granular Genetic Algorithm (MGGA) to solve the UAV cooperative multi-task allocation problem (CMTAP), accounting for multiple constraints in real scenarios. To enhance the quality of the initial population of genetic algorithm, a data preprocessing method via a typical clustering algorithm is proposed at first. Aiming to improve the solution speed of the standard genetic algorithm, MGGA incorporates the concept of Multi-Granular Cognition and combines granular-ball computing with the genetic algorithm to solve the CMTAP. Finally, through simulation experiments in different scenarios, the algorithm is proved to have better optimization ability and convergence effect.

Video question generation task aims to generate meaningful questions about a video targeting an answer. Existing methods merely focus on the static appearance features in the image frames or simply identify a motion in the video to ask general questions. However, a video contains dynamically changing visual content that deserves to be questioned, e.g., changes in object motions, object states and relationships among objects, which is more practical and closer to the dynamic world we live in. In this paper, we propose a difference-aware video question generation model that aims to generate questions about temporal differences in the video, i.e., capturing the dynamic changes between image frames of a video to ask questions. To capture the dynamic changes between image frames, we utilize a temporal difference extractor to localize the differences for each frame pair of a video through an attention mechanism. Then, we introduce an answer-aware module to capture the answer-related image frame pair containing their differences for question generation, which aims to guide our model to focus on answer-related content for questioning. Finally, the output of the answer-aware module is sent to a decoder module to generate questions. Extensive experiments on SVQA and MSVD-QA datasets show that the proposed model outperforms state-of-the-art models, e.g., our model achieves at least 17.1% improvement over existing models in the SVQA dataset. This is because our model can generate questions similar to ground truths that involve changes between image frames in videos. Our code is available at https://***/Gary-code/D-VQG.

OmniThink: Expanding Knowledge Boundaries in Machine Writing through Thinking

Machine writing with large language models often relies on retrieval-augmented generation. However, these approaches remain confined within the boundaries of the model’s predefined scope, limiting the generation of content with rich information. Specifically, vanilla-retrieved information tends to lack depth, novelty, and suffers from redundancy, which negatively impacts the quality of generated articles, leading to shallow, unoriginal, and repetitive outputs. To address these issues, we propose OmniThink, a slow-thinking machine writing framework that emulates the human-like process of iterative expansion and reflection. The core idea behind OmniThink is to simulate the cognitive behavior of learners as they slowly deepen their knowledge of the topics. Experimental results demonstrate that OmniThink improves the knowledge density of generated articles without compromising metrics such as coherence and depth. Human evaluations and expert feedback further highlight the potential of OmniThink to address real-world challenges in the generation of long-form articles. Copyright © 2025, The Authors. CAM-based non-local attention network for weakly supervised fire detection

Many available object detectors are already used in fire detection, such as Faster RCNN, SSD, YOLO, etc., to localize the fire in images. Although these approaches perform well, they require object-level annotations for training, which are manually labeled and very expensive. In this paper, we propose a method based on the Class Activation Map (CAM) and non-local attention to explore the Weakly Supervised Fire Detection (WSFD) given only image-level annotations. Specifically, we first train a deep neural network with non-local attention as the classifier for identifying fire and non-fire images. Then, we use the classifier to create a CAM for every fire image in the inference stage and finally generate a corresponding bounding box according to each connected domain of the CAM. To evaluate the availability of our method, a benchmark dataset named WS-FireNet is constructed, and comprehensive experiments are performed on the WS-FireNet dataset. The experimental results demonstrate that our approach is effective in image-level supervised fire detection.

In plane wave medical ultrasound imaging, the analog echo signals are received via the transducer, and sampled as digital radio frequency data which is further processed by the beamforming algorithm to obtain the output ultrasound image. The sampling frequency of radio frequency data has a great impact on the image quality. The radio frequency data with higher sampling frequency is closer to the true distribution of the analog echo signals, leading to better image quality. However, high-frequency sampling chips are usually expensive. Thus, improving the plane wave imaging quality for radio frequency data with low sampling frequency has important practical significance. The ultrasound imaging quality is mainly affected by shallow features such as texture and color. However, low-sampling-frequency data has poor shallow features while high-sampling-frequency data has better shallow features. In this work, we propose an adversarial learning method to replace the shallow features of low-frequency data with the shallow features of high-frequency data, but retaining the deep features of low-frequency data. The experiment results demonstrate that the proposed method improves the plane wave imaging quality for low-sampling-frequency data by fusing shallow and deep features.
