The proliferation of Internet of Things(IoT)systems has resulted in the generation of substantial data,presenting new challenges in reliable storage and trustworthy *** distributed storage systems are hindered by centralized management and lack traceability,while blockchain systems are limited by low capacity and high *** address these challenges,the present study investigates the reliable storage and trustworthy sharing of IoT data,and presents a novel system architecture that integrates on-chain and off-chain data manage *** architecture,integrating blockchain and distributed storage technologies,provides high-capacity,high-performance,traceable,and verifiable data storage and *** on-chain system,built on Hyperledger Fabric,manages metadata,verification data,and permission information of the raw *** off-chain system,implemented using IPFS Cluster,ensures the reliable storage and efficient access to massive files.A collaborative storage server is designed to integrate on-chain and off-chain operation interfaces,facilitating comprehensive data *** provide a unified access interface for user-friendly system *** testing validates the system’s reliability and stable *** proposed approach significantly enhances storage capacity compared to standalone blockchain *** reliability tests consistently yield positive *** average upload and download throughputs of roughly 20 and 30 MB/s,respectively,the system’s throughput surpasses the blockchain system by a factor of 4 to 18.

Domain adaptation aims to transfer knowledge from the labeled source domain to an unlabeled target domain that follows a similar but different ***,adversarial-based methods have achieved remarkable success due to the excellent performance of domain-invariant feature presentation ***,the adversarial methods learn the transferability at the expense of the discriminability in feature representation,leading to low generalization to the target *** this end,we propose a Multi-view Feature Learning method for the Over-penalty in Adversarial Domain ***,multi-view representation learning is proposed to enrich the discriminative information contained in domain-invariant feature representation,which will counter the over-penalty for discriminability in adversarial ***,the class distribution in the intra-domain is proposed to replace that in the inter-domain to capture more discriminative information in the learning of transferrable *** experiments show that our method can improve the discriminability while maintaining transferability and exceeds the most advanced methods in the domain adaptation benchmark datasets.

ViGT: proposal-free video grounding with a learnable token in the transformer

The video grounding(VG) task aims to locate the queried action or event in an untrimmed video based on rich linguistic descriptions. Existing proposal-free methods are trapped in the complex interaction between video and query, overemphasizing cross-modal feature fusion and feature correlation for VG. In this paper, we propose a novel boundary regression paradigm that performs regression token learning in a transformer. Particularly, we present a simple but effective proposal-free framework, namely video grounding transformer(ViGT), which predicts the temporal boundary using a learnable regression token rather than multi-modal or cross-modal features. In ViGT, the benefits of a learnable token are manifested as follows.(1) The token is unrelated to the video or the query and avoids data bias toward the original video and query.(2) The token simultaneously performs global context aggregation from video and query ***, we employed a sharing feature encoder to project both video and query into a joint feature space before performing cross-modal co-attention(i.e., video-to-query attention and query-to-video attention) to highlight discriminative features in each modality. Furthermore, we concatenated a learnable regression token [REG] with the video and query features as the input of a vision-language transformer. Finally, we utilized the token [REG] to predict the target moment and visual features to constrain the foreground and background probabilities at each timestamp. The proposed ViGT performed well on three public datasets:ANet-Captions, TACoS, and YouCookⅡ. Extensive ablation studies and qualitative analysis further validated the interpretability of ViGT.

Study on the Characteristics of Cross-Domain knowledge Diffusion from Science to Policy: Evidence from Overton data

The cross-domain knowledge diffusion from science to policy is a prevalent phenomenon that demands academic attention. To investigate the characteristics of cross-domain knowledge diffusion from science to policy, this study suggests using the citation of policies to scientific articles as a basis for quantifying the diffusion strength, breadth, and speed. The study reveals that the strength and breadth of cross-domain knowledge diffusion from scientific papers to policies conform to a power-law distribution, while the speed follows a logarithmic normal distribution. Moreover, the papers with the highest diffusion strength, breadth, and fastest diffusion speed are predominantly from world-renowned universities, scholars, and top journals. The papers with the highest diffusion strength and breadth are mostly from social sciences, especially economics, those with the fastest diffusion speed are mainly from medical and life sciences, followed by social sciences. The findings indicate that cross-domain knowledge diffusion from science to policy follows the Matthew effect, whereby individuals or institutions with high academic achievements are more likely to achieve successful cross-domain knowledge diffusion. Boost Tracking by Natural Language With Prompt-Guided Grounding

TNL (Tracking by Natural Language) aims to locate the target described by a natural language sentence in a video. Most existing TNL methods are typically composed of three modules: object grounding, object tracking, and switching module, and their performance is limited by the poor performance of the grounding and switching modules due to the complex backgrounds and inaccurate information stored in the memory. This paper presents a global-local framework to address these issues, which includes a prompt-guided grounding module, a trained local tracking module, and a memory-based switcher module. The prompt-guided grounding module uses noun prompts to guide the CLIP model in focusing more on target regions and aligning visual features semantically with linguistic features, avoiding being misled by distractors and background. The memory-based switch module stores historical information with higher-quality memory, allowing the model to make more accurate decisions based on reliable data, thus improving the overall performance. Experiments on TNL2K, LaSOT, and OTB-Lang demonstrate the effectiveness and generalizability of the proposed framework.

Effective value measurement and pricing methods can greatly promote the healthy development of data sharing, exchange and reuse. However, the uncertainty of data value and neglect of interactivity lead to information asymmetry in the transaction process. A perfect pricing system and well-designed data trading market (hereafter called data market) can widely promote data transactions. We take the three-agents data market as an example to construct a sound data trading process. The data owner who provides data records, the model buyer who is interested in buying machine learning (ML) model instances, and the data broker who interacts between the data owner and the model buyer. Based on the characteristics of data market, like truthfulness, revenue maximization, version control, fairness and non-arbitrage, we propose a data pricing methods based on different model versions. Firstly, we utilize market research and construct a revenue maximization (RM) problem to price the different versions of ML models and solve it with the RM-ILP process. However, the RM model based on market research has two major problems: one is that the model buyer has no incentive to tell the truth, that is, the model buyer will lie in the market research to obtain a lower model price;the other is that it asks the data broker to release version menu in advance, resulting in an inefficient operation of the data market. In view of the defects of the RM transaction model, we propose a model buyers behavior analysis, establish the revenue maximization function based on different data versions to establish a bi-level linear programming model. We further add the incentive compatibility constraint and the individual rationality constraint, taking the utility of the model buyer and the revenue of the data broker into account. This reflects the consumer driven model in the data transaction mode. Finally, the RM-BLP process is proposed to transform RM problem into an equivalent single-level integer program

Genealogical knowledge graphs depict the relationships of family networks and the development of family histories. They can help researchers to analyze and understand genealogical data, search for genealogical descendant paths, and explore the origins of a family. However, the heterogenous, autonomous, complex, and evolving natures of genealogical data bring challenges to the development of contemporary genealogical knowledge graph models. Applying existing methods to genealogical data may be improper because general knowledge graph models lack in-depth domain knowledge. In this paper, we propose a genealogical knowledge graph model named Huapu-KG that combines HAO intelligence (human intelligence + artificial intelligence + organizational intelligence) to implement the construction and applications of genealogical knowledge graphs. Furthermore, challenges in constructing genealogical knowledge graphs are demonstrated, and experiments conducted on real-world genealogical datasets verify the feasibility and effectiveness of our proposed model. © 1989-2012 IEEE.

SpikeODE: Image Reconstruction for Spike Camera With Neural Ordinary Differential Equation

The recently invented retina-inspired spike camera has shown great potential for capturing dynamic scenes. However, reconstructing high-quality images from the binary spike data remains a challenge due to the existence of noises in the camera. This paper proposes SpikeODE, a novel approach to reconstructing clear images by exploring temporal-spatial correlation to depress noises. The main idea of our method is to restore the continuous dynamic process of real scenes in a latent space and learn the temporal correlations in a fine-grained manner. Furthermore, to model the dynamic process more effectively, we design a conditional ODE where the latent state of each timestamp is conditioned on the observed spike data. Subsequently, forward and backward inferences are conducted through the ODE to investigate the correlations between the representation of the target timestamp and the information from both past and future contexts. Additionally, we incorporate a Unet structure with a pixel-wise attention mechanism at each level to learn spatial correlations. Experimental results demonstrate that our method outperforms state-of-the-art methods across several metrics.

A learnable sampling method for scalable graph neural networks

With the development of graph neural networks, how to handle large-scale graph data has become an increasingly important topic. Currently, most graph neural network models which can be extended to large-scale graphs are based on random sampling methods. However, the sampling process in these models is detached from the forward propagation of neural networks. Moreover, quite a few works design sampling based on statistical estimation methods for graph convolutional networks and the weights of message passing in GCNs nodes are fixed, making these sampling methods not scalable to message passing networks with variable weights, such as graph attention networks. Noting the end-to-end learning capability of neural networks, we propose a learnable sampling method. It solves the problem that random sampling operations cannot calculate gradients and samples nodes with an unfixed probability. In this way, the sampling process is dynamically combined with the forward propagation process of the features, allowing for better training of the networks. And it can be generalized to all message passing models. In addition, we apply the learnable sampling method to GNNs and propose two models. Our method can be flexibly combined with different graph neural network models and achieves excellent accuracy on benchmark datasets with large graphs. ControlVideo: conditional control for one-shot text-driven video editing and beyond

This paper presents ControlVideo for text-driven video editing — generating a video that aligns with a given text while preserving the structure of the source video. Building on a pre-trained text-to-image diffusion model, ControlVideo enhances the fidelity and temporal consistency by incorporating additional conditions(such as edge maps), and fine-tuning the key-frame and temporal attention on the source video-text pair via an in-depth exploration of the design space. Extensive experimental results demonstrate that ControlVideo outperforms various competitive baselines by delivering videos that exhibit high fidelity w.r.t. the source content, and temporal consistency, all while aligning with the text. By incorporating low-rank adaptation layers into the model before training, ControlVideo is further empowered to generate videos that align seamlessly with reference images. More importantly, ControlVideo can be readily extended to the more challenging task of long video editing(e.g., with hundreds of frames), where maintaining long-range temporal consistency is crucial. To achieve this, we propose to construct a fused ControlVideo by applying basic ControlVideo to overlapping short video segments and key frame videos and then merging them by pre-defined weight functions. Empirical results validate its capability to create videos across 140 frames, which is approximately 5.83 to 17.5 times more than what previous studies achieved.
