Detecting the Position of the Moving-iron Solenoid by Non-displacement Sensor Based on Parameter Identification of Flux Linkage Characteristics

Currently, most researches use signals, such as the coil current or voltage of solenoid, to identify parameters; typically, parameter identification method based on variation rate of coil current is applied for position estimation. The problem exists in these researches that the detected signals are prone to interference and difficult to obtain. This paper proposes a new method for detecting the core position by using flux characteristic quantity, which adds a new group of secondary winding to the coil of the ordinary switching electromagnet. On the basis of electromagnetic coupling theory analysis and simulation research of the magnetic field regarding the primary and secondary winding coils, and in accordance with the fact that under PWM control mode varying core position and operating current of windings produce different characteristic of flux increment of the secondary winding. The flux increment of the electromagnet winding can be obtained by conducting time domain integration for the induced voltage signal of the extracted secondary winding, and the core position from the two-dimensional fitting curve of the operating winding current and flux-linkage characteristic quantity of solenoid are calculated. The detecting and testing system of solenoid core position is developed based on the theoretical research. The testing results show that the flux characteristic quantity of switching electromagnet magnetic circuit is able to effectively show the core position and thus to accomplish the non-displacement transducer detection of the said core position of the switching electromagnet. This paper proposes a new method for detecting the core position by using flux characteristic quantity, which provides a new theory and method for switch solenoid to control the proportional valve.

New synchronization algorithm and analysis of its convergence rate for clock oscillators in dynamical network with time-delays are presented.A network of nodes equipped with hardware clock oscillators with bounded drift is ***,a dynamic synchronization algorithm based on consensus control strategy,namely fast averaging synchronization algorithm （FASA）,is presented to find the solutions to the synchronization *** FASA,each node computes the logical clock value based on its value of hardware clock and message *** goal is to synchronize all the nodes＇ logical clocks as closely as ***,the convergence rate of FASA is analyzed that proves it is related to the bound by a nondecreasing function of the uncertainty in message delay and network ***,FASA＇s convergence rate is proven by means of the robust optimal ***,several practical applications for FASA,especially the application to inverse global positioning system （IGPS） base station network are ***,numerical simulation results demonstrate the correctness and efficiency of the proposed *** FASA with traditional clock synchronization algorithms （CSAs）,the convergence rate of the proposed algorithm converges faster than that of the CSAs evidently.

Gas adsorption and accumulation on hydrophobic surfaces:Molecular dynamics simulations

Molecular dynamics simulations show that the gas dissolved in water can be adsorbed at a hydrophobic interface and accumulates thereon. Initially, a water depletion layer appears on the hydrophobic interface. Gas molecules then enter the depletion layer and form a high-density gas-enriched layer. Finally, the gas-enriched layer accumulates to form a nanobubble. The radian of the nanobubble increases with time until equilibrium is reached. The equilibrium state arises through a Brenner–Lohse dynamic equilibrium mechanism, whereby the diffusive outflux is compensated by an influx near the contact line. Additionally, supersaturated gas also accumulates unsteadily in bulk water, since it can diffuse back into the water and is gradually adsorbed by a solid substrate.

Adaptive key SURF feature extraction and application in unmanned vehicle dynamic object recognition

A new method based on adaptive Hessian matrix threshold of finding key SRUF （ speeded up robust features） features is proposed and is applied to an unmanned vehicle for its dynamic object recognition and guided navigation. First, the object recognition algorithm based on SURF feature matching for unmanned vehicle guided navigation is introduced. Then, the standard local invariant feature extraction algorithm SRUF is analyzed, the Hessian Metrix is especially discussed, and a method of adaptive Hessian threshold is proposed which is based on correct matching point pairs threshold feedback under a close loop frame. At last, different dynamic object recognition experi- ments under different weather light conditions are discussed. The experimental result shows that the key SURF feature abstract algorithm and the dynamic object recognition method can be used for un- manned vehicle systems.

A memetic algorithm for path planning of curvature-constrained UAVs performing surveillance of multiple ground targets

The problem of generating optimal paths for curvature-constrained unmanned aerial vehicles （UAVs） performing surveillance of multiple ground targets is addressed in this paper. UAVs are modeled as Dubins vehicles so that the constraints of UAVs＇ minimal turning radius can be taken into account. In view of the effective surveillance range of the sensors equipped on UAVs, the problem is formulated as a Dubins traveling salesman problem with neighborhood （DTSPN）. Considering its prohibitively high computational complexity, the Dubins paths in the sense of terminal heading relaxation are introduced to simplify the calculation of the Dubins distance, and a boundary-based encoding scheme is proposed to determine the visiting point of every target neighborhood. Then, an evolutionary algorithm is used to derive the optimal Dubins tour. To further enhance the quality of the solutions, a local search strategy based on approximate gradient is employed to improve the visiting points of target neighborhoods. Finally, by a minor modification to the individual encoding, the algorithm is easily extended to deal with other two more sophisticated DTSPN variants （multi-UAV scenario and multiple groups of targets scenario）. The performance of the algorithm is demonstrated through comparative experiments with other two state-of-the-art DTSPN algorithms identified in literature. Numerical simulations exhibit that the algorithm proposed in this paper can find high-quality solutions to the DTSPN with lower computational cost and produce significantly improved performance over the other algorithms.

Online adaptive Q-learning method for fully cooperative linear quadratic dynamic games

A model-based offline policy iteration(PI) algorithm and a model-free online Q-learning algorithm are proposed for solving fully cooperative linear quadratic dynamic games. The PI-based adaptive Q-learning method can learn the feedback Nash equilibrium online using the state samples generated by behavior policies, without sending inquiries to the system model. Unlike the existing Q-learning methods, this novel Q-learning algorithm executes both policy evaluation and policy improvement in an adaptive *** prove the convergence of the offline PI algorithm by proving its equivalence to Newton's method while solving the game algebraic Riccati equation(GARE). Furthermore, we prove that the proposed Q-learning method will converge to the Nash equilibrium under a small learning rate if the method satisfies certain persistence of excitation conditions, which can be easily met by suitable behavior policies. Our simulation results demonstrate the good performance of the proposed online adaptive Q-learning algorithm.

The limited supply capacity and high transport kinetic energy barrier of H* hinder the implementation of the alkaline hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). Constructing an H3O+ environment can effectively enhance the concentration and diffusion kinetics of H*, thereby alleviating the associated limiting factors. Here we report a novel Ru nanoclusters supported by 2D Mo2Ti2C3 nanosheets (Ru-Mo2Ti2C3) as an effective HER electrocatalyst in alkaline environments. Results indicate that H* is rapidly generated at the Ru site due to the efficient water dissociation capability of Ru-Mo2Ti2C3, subsequently combining with water molecules to form H3O+. H3O+ then rapidly diffuses to the –O group on MXene, which can release H* and act as active sites for H2 evolution, facilitated by the lower migration energy barrier of H3O+. This strategy simultaneously enhances both the supply and transfer of H*, facilitating synergistic catalysis between Ru and MXene. Consequently, Ru-Mo2Ti2C3 exhibits an overpotential of 47 mV at 10 mA cm−2, lower than that observed in acidic media (108 mV). This paper introduces a new approach for the development of catalytic materials aimed at achieving efficient and pH-universal electrochemical H2 evolution. © 2025 Elsevier Inc.

Extended Dissipativity Analysis and Synthesis for Discrete-Time Lur'e Delayed systems: Matrix-Separation-Based Lyapunov Functional Method

This paper develops a matrix-separation-based Lyapunov functional method to study the extended dissipativity analysis and synthesis issue of discrete-time Lur'e-type delayed systems. The advanced idea of matrix-separation is reflected in Lyapunov functional candidates and estimates summation terms as precisely as feasible. First, we introduce a novel summation inequality based on the matrix-separation method to provide a bound for the augmented summation that involves common state variables. An improved delay-product-type Lyapunov functional is devised by extending non-positive definite summations as separate subblocks of the state-augmented summation. Then, by using the matrix injection method to handle the cubic delay term in the functional forward difference, a delay-variation-dependent stability criterion and an extended dissipativity criterion are developed under the matrix-separation-based method. Subsequently, sufficient conditions for the control design of Lur'e-type systems are derived. Finally, the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed method are verified through its application to Chua's circuits, neural networks, and a stochastic numerical example. © 2025 The Author(s). Evasion strategies of a three-player lifeline game

This study examines a multi-player pursuit-evasion game, more specifically, a three-player lifeline game in a planar environment, where a single evader is tasked with reaching a lifeline prior to capture. A decomposition method based on an explicit policy is proposed to address the game qualitatively from two main aspects:(1) the evader's position distribution to guarantee winning the game(i.e., the escape zone),which is based on the premise of knowing the pursuers' positions initially, and(2) evasion strategies in the escape zone. First, this study decomposes the three-player lifeline game into two two-player sub-games and obtains an analytic expression of the escape zone by constructing a barrier, which is an integration of the solutions of two sub-games. This study then explicitly partitions the escape zone into several regions and derives an evasion strategy for each region. In particular, this study provides a resultant force method for the evader to balance the active goal of reaching the lifeline and the passive goal of avoiding capture. Finally,some examples from a lifeline game involving more than one pursuer are used to verify the effectiveness and scalability of the evasion strategies.
