A novel adaptive robust control (ARC) is presented for the four-motor driving servo systems with the uncertain nonlinearities and actuation failures, such that the load tracking control is achieved with the proximate optimal-time. By applying the proposed scheme, several control objectives are achieved. First, the nonlinear synchronization algorithm is presented to maintain the velocity synchronization of each motor, which provides fast convergence without chatting. Moreover, the time-varying bias torque is applied to eliminate the effect of backlash and reduce the waste of energy. Then, the ARC is designed to achieve the proximate optimal-time output tracking with the transient performance in L2 norm, where the friction and actuation failures are addressed by the adaptive scheme based on the norm estimation of unknown parameter vector. Finally, the extensive simulated and experimental results validate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Recently, stability analysis of time-delay systems has received much attention. Rich results have been obtained on this topic using various approaches and techniques. Most of those results are based on Lyapunov stability theories. The purpose of this article is to give a broad overview of stabil- ity of linear time-delay systems with emphasis on the more recent progress. Methods and techniques for the choice of an appropriate Lyapunov functional and the estimation of the derivative of the Lyapunov functional are reported in this ar- ticle, and special attention is paid to reduce the conservatism of stability conditions using as few as possible decision vari- ables. That cycle-slips remain undetected will significantly degrade the accuracy of the navigation solution when using carrier phase measurements in global positioning system (GPS). In this paper, an algorithm based on length-4 symmetric/anti-symmetric (SA4) orthogonal multi-wavelet is presented to detect and identify cycle-slips in the context of the feature of the GPS zero-differential carrier phase measurements. Associated with the local singularity detection principle, cycle-slips can be detected and located precisely through the modulus maxima of the coefficients achieved by the multi-wavelet transform. Firstly, studies are focused on the feasibility of the algorithm employing the orthogonal multi-wavelet system such as Geronimo-Hardin-Massopust (GHM), Chui-Lian (CL) and SA4. Moreover, the mathematical characterization of singularities with Lipschitz exponents is explained, the modulus maxima from wavelet to multi-wavelet domain is extended and a localization formula is provided from the modulus maxima of the coefficients to the original observation. Finally, field experiments with real receiver are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. Because SA4 possesses the specific nature of good multi-filter properties (GMPs), it is superior to scalar wavelet and other orthogonal multi-wavelet candidates distinctly, and for the half-cycle slip, it also remains better detection, location ability and the equal complexity of wavelet transform.

The sequential fusion estimation for multisensor systems disturbed by non-Gaussian but heavytailed noises is studied in this paper. Based on multivariate t-distribution and the approximate t-filter,the sequential fusion algorithm is presented. The performance of the proposed algorithm is analyzed and compared with the t-filter-based centralized batch fusion and the Gaussian Kalman filter-based optimal centralized fusion. Theoretical analysis and exhaustive experimental analysis show that the proposed algorithm is effective. As the generalization of the classical Gaussian Kalman filter-based optimal sequential fusion algorithm, the presented algorithm is shown to be superior to the Gaussian Kalman filter-based optimal centralized batch fusion and the optimal sequential fusion in estimation of dynamic systems with non-Gaussian noises.

A novel second-order time-varying sliding mode control(SOTVSMC) law is proposed for the robust tracking control problem of nonlinear smooth single-input single-output(SISO) system with disturbance. The advantages of the proposed SOTVSMC are twofold. The global second order sliding mode is established, which implies that the closed-loop system is global robust against matched parameter uncertainties and disturbances. Meanwhile, the chattering problem is significantly alleviated. Then the parameter of the sliding mode is obtained by solving an optimal problem. Finally, the effectiveness and robustness of the control strategy is demonstrated by simulation results.

Analysis and design of simulation scenario, design and application of scenario system are problems needed to be solved in the development and performance verification of simulation system. Consequently, a standardized development method for developing scenario based on a kind of combat information simulation system is proposed in this paper. Firstly, according to the requirements for generation of scenario which are decided by simulation system, the combining of military conceptual model and the entity oriented modeling method(EATI method) is used to build scenario structure model accurately and without distortion. Secondly, description of content and realizing form for scenario are constrained and standardized by extensible markup language(XML). Finally, a visualized and flexible scenario system model is built based on former theory analysis, which is independent of simulation system. This paper not only solves the problem existed in scenario and scenario system, but also implements rapid development of scenario, which provides important theory guiding meaning.
