BeltLineNet: A Shape-Prior-Guided Lightweight Network for Real-Time Deviation Detection in Circular Pipe Conveyors

Belt deviation in circular pipe conveyor systems could lead to material spillage, environmental contamination, reduced efficiency, and accelerated belt wear. Real-time belt deviation detection is crucial for ensuring safe and efficient operation. However, existing methods, primarily developed for flat-belt systems, heavily rely on distinct belt-background semantics, making them unsuitable for circular conveyors where indistinct target features, motion blur, and occlusions pose significant challenges. To address these issues, we reformulate the deviation detection task as an object detection problem, proposing BeltLineNet, a lightweight, real-time deviation detection network specifically designed for circular pipe conveyors. Our method integrates explicit feature learning with a coarse-to-fine global feature fusion mechanism, enhancing belt line representation under complex conditions. Additionally, a shape-prior loss strategy is introduced to improve supervision during training, ensuring more accurate detection of elongated targets. The model is also optimized for real-time deployment through layer-adaptive pruning, achieving a balance between accuracy and computational efficiency. Extensive comparative experiments involving 8 state-of-the-art (SOTA) feature extraction networks and 6 feature enhancement strategies on a self-collected dataset under industrial conditions demonstrate that BeltLineNet surpasses SOTA feature extraction and fusion networks, improving average precision (AP) by 8.23% before pruning and 6.33% after pruning. © 2001-2012 IEEE.

In recent years,the introduction of Siamese network has brought new vitality to the object tracking ***,high-performance Siamese trackers cannot run at a real-time speed on mobile devices due to their complex and huge *** distillation is a common and effective model compression method,but it is difficult to be applied to the challenging task like object *** find out the fundamental cause is that the imbalance between the foreground and background in the object tracking task,which aggravates the problem of insufficient feature extraction ability of small ***,we propose the attention mask distillation(AMD) to help the student tracker focus on the foreground area faster and more *** attention mask can be easily obtained from the feature maps and brings fine-granularity to the traditional binary *** experimental results on OTB100 and VOT2018 show that our method enables the student tracker perform as well as the teacher *** the same time,it's able to run on the CPU at a hyper-real-time of 66 fps and achieves nearly 9 times model compression *** low computational and storage costs make it possible to deploy high-performance trackers on resource-constrained platforms.

To ensure reliable localization for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAVs) in the presence of uncertain speed of the Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV), this study examines the relative localization problem of UAV-UGV using distance and bearing measurements. A Correlation of Bearing and Distance-based Relative Localization (CBDRL) algorithm is proposed in this paper under this scenario. The estimation of altitude, distance, and angle are simplified into a representation of the relative positioning between the UAV and UGV. The relative height difference is measured using the barometer in the algorithm. To determine the relative distance, Time of Arrival (TOA) ranging and Ultra Wide Band (UWB) communication are utilized. The relative direction measurement is then determined using the correlations of bearing and distance. We integrate these observations with height, direction, and distance data in an Extended Kalman Filter(EKF) to provide accurate and reliable relative position estimates that allow the UAV to track the target. The simulation results indicate that the CBDRL method developed in this study is superior to previous relative localization algorithms that rely on multi-sensor fusion, and can significantly enhance the accuracy of UAV positioning provided that range and angle measurements are precise enough. © 2023 IEEE.

When arriving at the airport,flight needs to be served by special *** at the dynamic time window scheduling problem of airport refueling vehicles,this paper establishes a vehicle routing problem model with time window to minimize the operating ***,a multi-strategy genetic algorithm is designed to gain the solve time window scheduling problem,which employs the crossover based on particle swarm optimization to accelerate the early search capability,and the local search method based on simulated annealing to increase the local optimization *** aiming at dynamically adjusting vehicle routes on the basis of static scheduling,a local replanning strategy based on a dynamic time window is introduced,which uses the original route matching and rescheduling *** results show that the multi-strategy hybrid algorithm can effectively reduce the number of routes and vehicles the airport *** different scales' dynamic changes of time windows,the algorithm could enable vehicles to still meet time constraints and effectively minimize the change of routes.

Parameter estimation of fractional uncertain differential equations

Fractional uncertain differential equations are used for forecast in this paper. It is crucial to provide an accurate estimation method since fractional uncertain differential equations hold memory effects and parameter estimation strongly depends on the accuracy of numerical schemes. A generalized moment estimation method is developed by the famous L1 numerical scheme. Adam optimization algorithm is adopted in the minimum optimization problem and the obtained optimal parameters can pass the uncertain hypothesis test. Compared with the uncertain differential equations, the fractional one holds more parameter freedom degrees and captures long-term interactions of observed data. Finally, the applications to aftershock frequency and pharmacokinetics are provided as examples. It can be concluded that fractional uncertain differential equations lead to the higher forecast accuracy which also provides some potential works on "fractional deep learning" under uncertain environments. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature 2024.
