Core-shell nanostructures usually exhibit tunable catalytic properties in comparison with their single core or shell counterpart due to electronic interaction and lattice strain between the core and shell ***,we report the intriguing evolution of copper(Cu)shells on the gold(Au)cores at different Au/Cu precursor ratios during the synthesis of core-shell Au-Cu nanoparticles at an organic medium via seed-mediated growth *** brief,at relatively low Cu ratios,quasi-spherical Au-Cu nanoparticles with conventional core-shell structures are the majority products,in which the Cu shell thickness increases with the increase of Cu precursor *** dif-ference is that at high Cu ratios,the Cu shells no longer increase their thickness,but evolve into a dendritic ***,the core-shell Au-Cu nanoparticles with dendritic Cu shells could be transformed into interesting Au-Cu cage-bell structures after a ripening process at elevated ***,through galvanic replacement reaction with Pt precursors,the thin Cu shells could be converted into CuPt alloy shells on the Au cores,which exhibit enhanced activity towards methanol oxidation reaction with satisfactory durability,in comparison with that of commercial Pt/C catalysts.

Contra-rotating rotors have the advantage of compactness and redundancy, which can be observed in many unmanned aerial vehicles. One significant installation parameter for the contra-rotating rotors is the axial distance between the upper and lower rotors, which influences both the time-averaged and unsteady loading of the rotors, as well as the aeroacoustic noise emission. Through experimental methods, each rotor is mounted to a six-component balance to study the impact of the axial distance on the two rotors, and an microphone arc-array is used to study the noise emission and directivity in an anechoic chamber. Two rotors are set at the same rotational speed for all axial distance settings. The results indicate that the increase of axial distance is advantageous for the aerodynamic performance increase and noise reduction, especially in the axial range of 0.1 diameter. The recovery of aerodynamic performance is due to the fully developed slipstream which reduces the mutual influence between the two rotors. The noise reduction is mainly due to the reduced velocity fluctuation alleviates the inter actiontonal noise, although the broadband noise becomes larger as the axial distance increases. © 2023, American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Inc, AIAA. Keep It Simple: Towards Accurate Vulnerability Detection for Large Code Graphs

software vulnerability detection is crucial for high-quality software development. Recently, some studies utilizing Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) to learn the graph representation of code in vulnerability detection tasks have achieved remarkable success. However, existing graph-based approaches mainly face two limitations that prevent them from generalizing well to large code graphs: (1) the interference of noise information in the code graph;(2) the difficulty in capturing long-distance dependencies within the graph. To mitigate these problems, we propose a novel vulnerability detection method, ANGEL, whose novelty mainly embodies the hierarchical graph refinement and context-aware graph representation learning. The former hierarchically filters redundant information in the code graph, thereby reducing the size of the graph, while the latter collaboratively employs the Graph Transformer and GNN to learn code graph representations from both the global and local perspectives, thus capturing long-distance dependencies. Extensive experiments demonstrate promising results on three widely used benchmark datasets: our method significantly outperforms several other baselines in terms of the accuracy and F1 score. Particularly, in large code graphs, ANGEL achieves an improvement in accuracy of 34.27%-161.93% compared to the state-of-the-art method, AMPLE. Such results demonstrate the effectiveness of ANGEL in vulnerability detection tasks. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

In this paper, we consider the controllability and stability control problem for planar underactuated robots with non-one passive joints. The dynamic constraints of the robot are mainly caused by nonholonomic constraints. Firstly, we establish the dynamic model of this system and analyze its controllability. Then, based on location and number of passive joints, we divide the system into different configurations. Next, we propose a stable control method based on bi-directional approach to achieve the stable control of different systems. At last, the numerical simulation conclusion illuminate the feasibility of this method. © 2023 Technical Committee on Control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.
