Black carbon(BC)is considered the second largest anthropogenic climate forcer,but the radiative effects of BC are highly correlated with its combustion ***-road vehicles are an important source of anthropogenic ***,there are major uncertainties in the estimates of the BC emissions from on-road light-duty passenger vehicles(LDPVs),and results obtained with the portable emissions measurement system(PEMS)method are particularly *** developed a PEMS platform and evaluated the on-road BC emissions from ten in-use *** demonstrated that the BC emission factors(EFs)of gasoline direction injection(GDI)engine vehicles range from 1.10 to 1.56 ***^(-1),which are higher than the EFs of port fuel injection(PFI)engine vehicles(0.10–0.17 ***^(-1))by a factor of *** BC emissions during the cold-start phase contributed 2%–33%to the total emissions.A strong correlation(R^(2)=0.70)was observed between the relative BC EFs and average vehicle speed,indicating that traffic congestion alleviation could effectively mitigate BC ***,BC and particle number(PN)emissions were linearly correlated(R^(2)=0.90),and compared to PFI engine vehicles,the instantaneous PN-to-BC emission rates of GDI engine vehicles were less sensitive to vehicle specific power-to-velocity(VSPV)increase in all speed ranges.

In order to improve launching capability and performance, almost all launch vehicles in active service contain two or more stages. During the launch process, it is of vital importance to gradually reduce the weight of the launch vehicles by separating and jettisoning spent stages which have burned out its propellant. The separation process between the stages plays a crucial role in guaranteeing the safety of the launch vehicles and ensuring a successful launch. Consequently, it is essential for launch vehicle designers to well understand the stage-separation dynamics which is quite complex and affected by many system parameters. To evaluate the impact of the system parameters on the stage-separation mission, a parameterized model is established for a two-stage launch vehicle using the Modelica language along with the software MWorks. As representative parameters to evaluate, the mass-center positions of the first and second stages, both the positions and directions of the active forces, the residual thrusts, the positive thrusts, the retro thrusts, the masses and moments of inertia of the two stages, are all taken into account for dynamic analysis. The parameterized Modelica model is built by exploiting the idea of the equation-based causal modelling to numerically simulate the stage-separation process and evaluate the influence of the parameters on the system responses. Simulation results based on representative case studies indicate that the separation process of the first and second stages can be well described by the Modelica model. Besides, a comparison with Adams software demonstrates the results of the Modelica model agree well with those obtained using Adams. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

This paper proposed a finite-time robust fault-tolerant trajectory tracking control strategy for quadrotor unmanned aerial vehicles (QUAVs) suffering from actuator saturation, unknown external disturbance and actuator fault. Firstly, robust compensation terms are used to handle unknown external disturbance in position subsystem. On this basis, parameter adaptive method is introduced to remove the adverse effects of actuator saturation in attitude subsystem. Then, a fault detection mechanism is designed to estimate the actuator fault in real time. Subsequently, a finite-time robust fault-tolerant tracking strategy based on backstepping framework are proposed and and the finite-time convergence of all error signals are ensurend. Finally, a numerical simulation result is displayed to validate the effectiveness of the proposed trajectory tracking control scheme for the QUAVs dynamic system. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper addresses the problem of leader-following consensus in heterogeneous multi-agent systems (HMAS) with input saturation and communication delay. Given the practical differences between leader and follower dimensions, we design virtual leaders to address this problem by allowing actual leaders and followers to communicate with virtual leaders separately, thus enabling indirect communication between actual leaders and followers. Additionally, the control protocol proposed in this paper takes into account the effects of input saturation and time delay that exist in real communication. At last, a simulation example is presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the designed control protocol.

IEEE 802.11 Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) is a popular way for mobile devices to access the Internet. Operators and service providers often increase the density of wireless access points in order to provide users with better connections and user experience. As a result, WLAN users find themselves covered by multiple access points. In traditional wireless multi-hotspot networks most user terminals choose the access point with the strongest signal without considering the existing load on that access point, leading to severe congestion and load imbalance problems. This paper proposes an improved NSGA-II-based load balancing strategy for wireless multi-hotspot networks, which determines which hotspot should be associated with each user terminal by taking into account the current access point load, the received signal strength and the throughput size of the user terminal. The simulation results show that compared with the traditional strongest signal First (SSF) strategy, the proposed load balancing strategy can improve the network throughput by more than 30%. © 2022 IEEE.

In this paper, a dynamic analysis technique for complex launch vehicle models using digital twin technology is introduced. A parameterized model of the launch vehicle is established and simulations are conducted on a multi-physics simulation platform. The resulting analysis file is then integrated into a system-level multi-physical domain digital twin platform. To simplify the model, singular value decomposition (SVD) method is employed to reduce its complexity. Numerical comparison and error analysis are performed between the reduced model and the original model. By comparing and analyzing the reduced order models with different levels of error, the effectiveness of the digital twin approach is demonstrated. Furthermore, the reduced order model within the digital twin framework is encapsulated. This encapsulation enables the realization of comprehensive life cycle configuration management for the launch vehicle equipment. Overall, this technique offers a promising approach for analyzing and managing complex models of the context of launch vehicles. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

In the traditional development process of the launch vehicle guidance system, the system is designed repeatedly in the earlier stage and the verification of the system is conducted in the later stage. This development mode may cause some problems, such as low design efficiency and high cost. In order to improve the shortcomings of the traditional development process, in this paper the MBSE (Model Based System engineering) method is introduced in the design phase of the launch vehicle guidance system, and the MBSE-based design model is used to carry out system verification in real time. The application of this method greatly improves the design efficiency of the launch vehicle guidance system. The MBSE-based simulation model of the launch vehicle guidance system is established, the system perturbation guidance simulation is carried out, and the result is compared with the standard design trajectory to verify the correctness of the guidance system designed based on MBSE. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Fuzzy logic is widely applied in various applications. However, verifying the correctness of fuzzy logic models can be difficult. This extended abstract presents our ongoing work on verifying fuzzy logic models. We treat a fuzzy logic model as a program and propose a verification method based on symbolic execution for fuzzy logic models. We have developed and implemented the environment models for the common functions and the inference rules in fuzzy logic models. Our preliminary evaluation shows the potential of our verification method.

In the human pose estimation task, on the one hand, 3-D pose always has difficulty in dividing different 2-D poses if the view is limited;on the other hand, it is hard to reduce the lifting ambiguity because of the lack of depth information, it is an important and challenging problem. Therefore, two-stage representation refinement based on the convex combination for 3-D human pose estimation is proposed, in which the two-stage method includes a dense-spatial-temporal convolutional network and a local-to-refine network. The former is applied to determine the features between each video frame;the latter is used to get the different scales of pose details. It aims to address the difficulty of estimating 3-D human pose from 2-D image sequences. In such a way, it can better use the relations between every frame in the sequence of the pose video to produce more accurate results. Finally, we combine the above network with a block called convex combination to help refine the 3-D pose location. We test the proposed approach on both Human3.6m and MPII datasets. The result confirms that our method can achieve better performance than improved CNN supervision, a simple yet effective baseline, and coarse-to-fine volumetric prediction. Besides, a robustness test experiment is carried out for the proposed method while the input is interrupted. The result verifies that our method shows better robustness. © 2024 IEEE.
