A Novel Thermal Analysis Method for Tubular PM Linear Motors Based on Transfer Learning

Thermal modeling and analysis are critical for permanent magnet linear synchronous motors (PMLSMs), particularly in multi-physical analysis and motor design optimization. This paper proposes a new method for thermal steady state modeling and analysis based on transfer learning, which combines the thermal mechanism model with the data-driven model to achieve high-precision temperature analysis with small number of finite element analysis (FEA) samples. First, an equivalent thermal circuit (ETC) model is established for PMLSMs based on the structural parameters and heat transfer principles. Second, a hybrid model based on transfer learning is developed: the model is pre-trained by a large sample set generated from the ETC in the source field (mechanism analytical model), and then the trained model is transferred to the target field (FEA data-driven model). The parameters of the neural network in the target field are optimized by a few FEA sample sets with higher precision to improve the prediction accuracy of the target model. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method significantly boosts the performance of the deep neural network (DNN) model, particularly when training sets are small. The root mean square error (RMSE) of the DNN model decreases by 0.901 in the 5:5 (training/testing) dataset and 1.726 in the 2:8 dataset;and the corresponding R2 and maximal absolute error of motor performances are significantly decreased. The smaller the proportion of the training set, the better performance of the hybrid modeling will achieve. Furthermore, a temperature rise experiment conducted on a prototype motor validates the efficacy and precision of the proposed hybrid modeling methodology. © 2015 IEEE.

This paper is concerned with the distributed resilient fusion filtering(DRFF)problem for a class of time-varying multi-sensor nonlinear stochastic systems(MNSSs)with random sensor delays(RSDs).The phenomenon of the RSDs is modeled by a set of random variables with certain statistical *** addition,the nonlinear function is handled via Taylor expansion in order to deal with the nonlinear fusion filtering *** aim of the addressed issue is to propose a DRFF scheme for MNSSs such that,for both RSDs and estimator gain perturbations,certain upper bounds of estimation error covariance(EEC)are given and locally minimized at every sample *** the light of the obtained local filters,a new DRFF algorithm is developed via the matrix-weighted fusion ***,a sufficient condition is presented,which can guarantee that the local upper bound of the EEC is ***,a numerical example is provided,which can show the usefulness of the developed DRFF approach.

Chitin is a widely used important industrial polymer mainly from shrimp shells, but its commercial preparation is under the great challenge of serious pollution due to the requirement of HCl and Na ***, we demonstrated that high purity chitin can be obtained from waste shrimp shells(WSSs) by cascade separation with transition metal salt aqueous solution and ionic liquid(IL). Firstly, calcium carbonate of WSSs was effectively removed in the metal salt aqueous solution driven by the ion exchange interaction. Subsequently, 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride([Bmim]Cl) had bifunctional abilities to remove residual protein and introduced metal salts simultaneously by hydrogen bonding and coordination interactions. The key experimental factors affecting the separation process were systematically studied, including the type of metal salts, temperature, and [Bmim]Cl loading. After sequential treatment with a 20%(mass) Ni SO4aqueous solution at 130 ℃ and [Bmim]Cl at 150 ℃, the purity of a-chitin can be up to 96.5%(mass) that meets commercial requirements. The use of metal salts with higher coordination ability makes the preparation of chitin no longer depend on the commonly acid-base reaction, which is conducive to the preservation of chitin structure.

The memristive Computing-in-Memory (CIM) sys-Tem can efficiently accelerate matrix-vector multiplication (MVM) operations through in-situ computing. The data layout has a significant impact on the communication performance of CIM systems. Existing software-level communication opti-mizations aim to reduce communication distance by carefully designing static data layouts, while wear-leveling (WL) and error mitigation methods use dynamic scheduling to enhance system reliability, resulting in randomized data layouts and increased communication overhead. Besides, existing CIM compilers di-rectly map data to physical crossbars and generate instructions, which causes inconvenience for dynamic scheduling. To address these challenges of balancing communication performance and reliability while coordinating existing CIM compilers and dy-namic scheduling, we propose a disorder-resistant computation translation layer (DRCTL), which improves system lifetime and communication performance through co-optimization of data layout and dynamic scheduling. It consists of three parts: (1) We propose an address conversion method for dynamic scheduling, which updates the addresses in the instruction stream after dynamic scheduling, thereby avoiding recompilation. (2) Dynamic scheduling strategy for reliability improvement. We propose a hierarchical wear-leveling (HWL) strategy, which reduces communication by increasing scheduling granularity. (3) Communication optimization for dynamic scheduling. We propose data layout-Aware selective remapping (LASR), which helps dynamic scheduling methods improve communication lo-cality and reduce latency by exploiting data dependencies. The experiments demonstrate that HWL extends lifetime by 100.3-205.9 x compared to not using WL. Even with a slight lifetime decrease compared to the state-of-The-Art WL (TIWL), it still supports continuous neural network training for 7 years. Photonic crystal fiber (PCF) has shown a promising application in various fields of modern optics due to its excellent transmission characteristics. However, conventional numerical solution methods have limitations such as high computational effort and low efficiency in designing PCF structures and characterizing pulse propagation in PCFs. With the advancement of artificial intelligence technology, various types of intelligent computing approaches, especially intelligent algorithm and machine learning algorithm (IML), provide new perspectives to solve the above difficulties. Therefore, an increasing number of researchers are committed to using IML to break through the limitations of conventional methods and accordingly open up a new interdisciplinary research direction. This paper begins with a brief overview of common optical properties and typical algorithms. Subsequently, it reviews specific areas where PCF and IML are combined, including the prediction and optimization of optical properties, the design of polarization devices, fiber lasers and amplifiers, as well as the control and prediction of Supercontinuum generation.
