Recent progress in artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing (HPC) have brought potentially game-changing opportunities in accelerating reactive flow simulations. In this study, we introduce an open-source computational fluid dynamics (CFD) framework that integrates the strengths of machine learning (ML) and graphics processing unit (GPU) to demonstrate their combined capability. Within this framework, all computational operations are solely executed on GPU, including ML-accelerated chemistry integration, fully-implicit solving of PDEs, and computation of thermal and transport properties, thereby eliminating the CPU-GPU memory copy overhead. Optimisations both within the kernel functions and during the kernel launch process are conducted to enhance computational performance. Strategies such as static data reorganisation and dynamic data allocation are adopted to reduce the GPU memory footprint. The computational performance is evaluated in two turbulent flame benchmarks using quasi-DNS and LES modelling, respectively. Remarkably, while maintaining a similar level of accuracy to the conventional CPU/CVODE-based solver, the GPU/ML-accelerated approach shows an overall speedup of over two orders of magnitude for both cases. This result highlights that high-fidelity turbulent combustion simulation with finite-rate chemistry that requires normally hundreds of CPUs can now be performed on portable devices such as laptops with a medium-end GPU. © 2023, CC BY.

Measurement while drilling(MWD) is a widely used signal transmission technology in the drilling *** present,the domestic pulse identification method is relatively simple,using the basic threshold method to identify,only set the threshold which will leading a number of missing detection mud pulse in the complex working *** this paper,a novel data processing algorithm is proposed for measurement while drilling *** method designed in this paper identifies the start time of data frame by using correlation coefficient and synchronization head model,then,based on the principle that the amplitude of mud pulse signal is larger than that of noise pulse signal,the maximum pulse signal in the length of a group of mud pulse series is extracted as mud pulse *** simulation is executed using the data from the actual drilling process and the results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

The agent routing problem in multi-point dynamic task (ARP-MPDT) proposed recently is a novel permutation optimisation problem. In ARP-MPDT, a number of task points are located at different places and their states change over time. The agent must go to the task points in turn to execute the tasks, and the execution time of each task depends on the task state. The optimisation objective is to minimise the time for the agent to complete all the tasks. In this paper, five evolutionary algorithms are redesigned and tried to solve this problem, including a permutation genetic algorithm (GA), a variant of the particle swarm optimisation (PSO) and three variants of the estimation of distribution algorithm (EDA). In particular, a dual-model EDA (DM-EDA) employing two probability models was proposed. Finally, comparative tests confirm that the DM-EDA has a stronger adaptability than the other algorithms though GA performs better for the large-scale instances. Control problems are always challenging since they arise from the real-world systems where stochasticity and randomness are of ubiquitous presence. This naturally and urgently calls for developing efficient neural control policies for stabilizing not only the deterministic equations but the stochastic systems as well. Here, in order to meet this paramount call, we propose two types of controllers, viz., the exponential stabilizer (ES) based on the stochastic Lyapunov theory and the asymptotic stabilizer (AS) based on the stochastic asymptotic stability theory. The ES can render the controlled systems exponentially convergent but it requires a long computational time;conversely, the AS makes the training much faster but it can only assure the asymptotic (not the exponential) attractiveness of the control targets. These two stochastic controllers thus are complementary in applications. We also investigate rigorously the linear controller and the proposed neural stochastic controllers in both convergence time and energy cost and numerically compare them in these two indexes. In the fight against the novel coronavirus, this paper designs a smart infrared temperature measurement system based on the Elastic Compute Service platform. In the perceptual layer part of the Internet of Things(IoT), the system uses infrared temperature sensors to quickly collect the temperature of the forehead or arm of the human body and Uses the MCU to automatically transmits the measured data to the Elastic Compute Service through the WiFi module. In the network layer part of the Internet of Things,the data written into the database of the Elastic Compute Service through the program deployed on the Elastic Compute Service. In the application layer of the Internet of Things, the remote management terminal monitors the collected body temperature data in real-time and provides quick warnings. Finally, the User can log in to the applet on his mobile phone to quickly and easily obtain personal information.

Online progressive instance-balanced sampling for weakly supervised object detection

Based on multiple instance detection networks (MIDN), plenty of works have contributed tremendous efforts to weakly supervised object detection (WSOD). However, most methods neglect the fact that the overwhelming negative instances exist in each image during the training phase, which would mislead the training and make the network fall into local minima. To tackle this problem, an online progressive instance-balanced sampling (OPIS) algorithm based on hard sampling and soft sampling is proposed in this paper. The algorithm includes two modules: a progressive instance balance (PIB) module and a progressive instance reweighting (PIR) module. The PIB module combining random sampling and IoU-balanced sampling progressively mines hard negative instances while balancing positive instances and negative instances. The PIR module further utilizes classifier scores and IoUs of adjacent refinements to reweight the weights of positive instances for making the network focus on positive instances. Extensive experimental results on the PASCAL VOC 2007 and 2012 datasets demonstrate the proposed method can significantly improve the baseline, which is also comparable to many existing state-of-the-art results. In addition, compared to the baseline, the proposed method requires no extra network parameters and the supplementary training overheads are small, which could be easily integrated into other methods based on the instance classifier refinement paradigm. Hybrid Electromagnetic Modelling of Tubular Permanent Magnet Linear Motors Based on Transfer Learning Physics-Informed Neural Networks

Due to the inherent nonlinearity and saturation in the magnetic circuits of tubular permanent magnet linear motors, the analytical method (AM), while computationally efficient, often fails to capture complex electromagnetic behaviours accurately. In contrast, the finite element analysis (FEA) offers high precision but is time consuming. The nonlinearity of magnetic materials introduces strong input–output coupling, while saturation leads to localised deviations in field distributions, both of which reduce the effectiveness and generalisability of conventional modelling approaches. To overcome these challenges, a physics-informed, data-driven modelling approach is proposed. Initially, a novel hybrid modelling framework based on physics-informed neural networks (PINNs) is introduced. In this framework, AM is incorporated into both the input-output layers and the relevant variables, thereby enabling the direct embedding of physical constraints into the loss function. Consequently, the network's training process is rigorously guided in accordance with established physical principles. To further enhance prediction accuracy and generalisation, a transfer learning framework is integrated into PINN, utilising pre-trained datasets from AM and fine-tuning the model using high-accuracy datasets derived from FEA. Additionally, to optimise the physical information-related hyperparameters that impact model accuracy, functional analysis of variance is employed to quantitatively assess their importance and determine the optimal hyperparameter values. Experimental results show that, with training sample sizes representing only 5% of the FEA data, TL-PINN achieves significant improvements over DNN, including a 74.25% reduction in (1 − R 2 ), a 49.51% reduction in RMSE, and a 50.46% reduction in MAE. These findings demonstrate that TL-PINN delivers superior accuracy while utilising substantially fewer FEA datasets.

Different road conditions and dynamic environment bring significant challenges to the control system of autonomous driving vehicle（ADV）. As is known, historical data collected from ADV contains valuable information about control systems,therefore, it is a promising thing to study adaptive control algorithms that have certain learning ability. In order to improve the control performance of ADV and the efficiency in data usage, in this paper, a model free adaptive control algorithm based on regularized online sequential extreme learning machine（ReOSELM） is introduced, it is difficult to analyze the algorithm based on neural network, and the system stability by improved update algorithm of ReOSELM is proved. Simulation results indicate that the proposed algorithm is effective in improving control precision when ADV is turning, and experimental results on an autonomous driving vehicle show that this algorithm is effective in real environment.

This study investigated the optimal tracking performance (OTP) of multi-input multi-output (MIMO), discrete- time networked control systems (NCSs). The limits of tracking performance (TP) under the influences of bandwidth, encoding- decoding, and additive coloured Gaussian noise (ACGN) are derived using the techniques of coprime decomposition and all-pass decomposition. The results reveal the negative impact of non-minimum phase (NMP) zeros and unstable poles of the plant as well as network communication constraints on the TP of NCSs. Finally, a numerical simulation is discussed and verifies our conclusions.

Medical report generation (MRG) is essential for computer-aided diagnosis and medication guidance, which can relieve the heavy burden of radiologists by automatically generating the corresponding medical reports according to the given radiology image. However, due to the spurious correlations within image-text data induced by visual and linguistic biases, it is challenging to generate accurate reports reliably describing lesion areas. Moreover, the cross-modal confounders are usually unobservable and challenging to be eliminated explicitly. In this paper, we aim to mitigate the cross-modal data bias for MRG from a new perspective, i.e., cross-modal causal intervention, and propose a novel Visual-Linguistic Causal Intervention (VLCI) framework for MRG, which consists of a visual deconfounding module (VDM) and a linguistic deconfounding module (LDM), to implicitly mitigate the visual-linguistic confounders by causal front-door intervention. Specifically, due to the absence of a generalized semantic extractor, the VDM explores and disentangles the visual confounders from the patch-based local and global features without expensive fine-grained annotations. Simultaneously, due to the lack of knowledge encompassing the entire field of medicine, the LDM eliminates the linguistic confounders caused by salient visual features and high-frequency context without constructing a terminology database. Extensive experiments on IU-Xray and MIMIC-CXR datasets show that our VLCI significantly outperforms the state-of-the-art MRG methods.
