As a new research field in wireless sensor network (WSN), wireless video sensor network (WVSN) makes surveillance multifunctional and intelligent, with rich and intuitive sensing information. It attracts more and more researchers' attention. We design and implement a wireless video sensor network prototype system, using WIFI as the wireless communication solution and CMOS video camera as the front-end sensor. The wireless video node adopts ARM11 based embedded platform. As back-end processing algorithm, the node realizes moving object detection. Finally, we verify the sensor network system. WIFI network can transmit video sequences smoothly. The moving object detection algorithm performs well.

Decoding algorithms for syntax based machine translation suffer from high computational complexity, a consequence of intersecting a language model with a context free grammar. Left-to-right decoding, which generates the target string in order, can improve decoding efficiency by simplifying the language model evaluation. This paper presents a novel left to right decoding algorithm for tree-to-string translation, using a bottom-up parsing strategy and dynamic future cost estimation for each partial translation. Our method outperforms previously published tree-to-string decoders, including a competing left-to-right method.

Special current transformer (CT) is designed to induct power from the power transmission lines for an inspection robot. Equivalent circuit is used for calculating and modelling the parameters of the current transformer. Air gap analysis is given aiming at adapting dynamic range of bar current, and calculation of the effect of air gap is provided in detail. Ratio change of current transformer is introduced by which the secondary current could be adaptive to the bus current. Simulation results show that dynamic control of length of air gap and turns of the coils could make the current transformer be adaptive to the variable bus current and be more convenient for inducing power for the power transmission lines inspection robot.

To enhance classification performance by making use of easily available unlabelled data to overcome the scarcity of labelled data, this paper proposes an Embedded Co-Adaboost algorithm that integrates multi-view learning into the Adaboost learning framework and at the same time leverages the advantages of Co-training algorithm for performance enhancement. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm in terms of the convergence rate, the accuracy, and the steady performance as compared to the original AdaBoost algorithm, without relying on redundant and sufficient feature sets. As a algorithm application in software engineering, the Embedded Co-AdaBoost has been applied to the classification of software document relations to improve the quality of the architecture design documents and the reusability of design knowledge.

The paper discusses two important classification techniques, Fisher's linear discriminated analysis (FLDA) and Support Vector Machine (SVM). First, we propose a theoretical discussion, and then implement FLDA and SVM on several datasets of two classes and multiclass, a comparative experimental analysis among these two techniques aims at exploring and assessing the performance of FLDA and SVM classifiers. To sustain such analysis, the two classification techniques are compared with different training data sets and testing data sets. Different performance indicators have been used to support our experimental studies in a detailed and accurate way such as the classification accuracy. The results obtained on different datasets conclude that FLDA and SVM are valid and effective approaches for pattern classification and conclude their different performance and problems with different size datasets. Meanwhile, the paper employs a non-traditional method to get the training and testing data set, and concludes detailed pros and cons from the experiment results.

It is reported that social network is a typical complex network expressed with scale free degree. Emergency cases are happening more and more often in China and all over the world, the governments has realized that it is necessary to monitor and manage the information spreading on social network. In this paper, a new experiment platform frame, which is based on SPA (Spreading Activation) model and social centrality, is proposed to validate the information spreading speed in social network, to help the administration department to manage social network more efficiently.
