The current color transfer methods always use statistics as transfer function and can not deal with images with lower similarity. In this paper, a section by section color transfer method is presented, in which all the source images and reference images are segmented into a series of homogeneous regions, in which variations between classes are big and variations within classes are small, and then the color between the corresponding regions are transferred. The experiments show that the algorithm is efficient, the results are satisfactory, and it can be applied to complicated images with lower similarity.

Based on the fusion of color and gradient features, this paper implements a novel approach to real-time background subtraction. Firstly, an energy function is defined based on the fusion of color and gradient features. Secondly, the graph cuts based algorithm is employed to minimize energy function and segment the foreground. Finally, average optical flow is used to make inference about the validity of foreground regions, background models are then updated. The experimental results of different real scenes show that the proposed approach can produce real-time detection and promising results.

Multi-Modality fusion is one of the hottest discussed issues in the current research of medical image processing and it has a deep impact on the cognitive science and clinical treatment. In this paper, an fMRI-constraint equivalent dipole model (FC-ECD) based on ICA is proposed to solve the fusion of fMRI and EEG. The ICA is adopted as a preprocessing step to exclude the noise and select the available ERP components. At the same time, it can provide a prior estimate of the number of dipoles. Then considering the spatial information provided by fMRI, the selected ERP components are localized by FC-ECD model based on an ideal four-sphere head model. Thus it can reduce the computation time dramatically. Finally, the simulation study proves the correctness and validity of the method proposed in the paper and the human study coincides with the physiology fact.

Two algorithms for the phase retrieval of hard X-ray in-line phase contrast imaging are presented. One is referred to as Iterative Angular Spectrum Algorithm (IASA) and the other is a hybrid algorithm that combines IASA with TIE (transport of intensity equation). The calculations of the algorithms are based on free space propagation of the angular spectrum. The new approaches are demonstrated with numerical simulations. Comparisons with other phase retrieval algorithms are also performed. It is shown that the phase retrieval method combining the IASA and TIE is a promising technique for the application of hard X-ray phase contrast imaging.

In this paper, a new concept of assignmentability is proposed. The concept is used to assess the efficacy of the dynamic traffic assignment on road networks. We construct a system to handle the measurement of assignmentability and develop a model whose variables cannot be computed precisely. Based on graph theory and traffic flow theory, the relationship of three local parameters, the degree of saturation, the number of routes between the origin-destination pairs and the connectivity with assignmentability of network is considered. Although certain factors that affect assignmentability can be quantified by experts, their functional relationship to assignmentability is not so clear. In this paper, a fuzzy comprehensive evaluation framework is proposed to assess the assignmentability of traffic networks.

A fuzzy logic controller is designed. The tire temperature, pressure, velocity are defined as input variables. The velocity compensation and the pressure compensation are defined as output variables. The fuzzy logic rules are got by considering the qualitative relations among the input and output variables. The intelligent tires system with the fuzzy logic controller is modeled. The tire wastage e coefficient and the tire pressure safety coefficient are defined as the measure of the tire economy and safety. The simulation of the intelligent, tires system with and without the fuzzy logic controller is performed. The results show that the fuzzy logic controller can decrease the tire wastage coefficient and increase the pressure safety coefficient obviously.

In this paper, the applications of genetic algorithms to dynamic traffic assignment are analyzed based on a dynamic traffic assignment variational inequality model and the condition of physical queue is studied in this model. A simple example is used to demonstrate the efficiency of the genetic algorithms. The conclusions and directions for future development about the application of genetic algorithm to traffic assignment are presented.
