Chimera-inspired dynamics: When higher-order interactions are expressed differently

The exploration of chimera-inspired dynamics in nonlocally coupled networks of Kuramoto oscillators with higher-order interactions is still in its nascent stages. Concurrently, the investigation of collective phenomena in higher-order interaction networks is gaining attraction. Here, we observe that hypergraph networks tend to synchronize through lower-order interactions, whereas simplicial complex networks exhibit a preference for higher-order interactions. This observation suggests that higher-order representations manifest substantial differences in chimera-inspired synchronization regions. Moreover, we introduce an explicit expression for identifying the chimera state. With a comprehensive basin stability analysis and the interplay of pairwise and higher-order interaction strengths, the emergence of the chimera state is inherent in high-order interaction networks. Our findings contribute to the understanding of chimera-inspired dynamics in higher-order interaction networks.

During super low frequency (SLF) magnetic induction communication, the sensitive antenna carried by autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) is highly susceptible to vibration, resulting in a large amount of noise in communication signals, which seriously affects communication performance. The type of motion-induced noise typically exhibits randomness and nonlinearity. Based on the strong correlation between the motion-induced noise and the antenna's vibration signal, we propose a multi-channel normalized least mean square (MCNLMS) algorithm. The algorithm utilizes the six degrees of freedom vibration acceleration information from both ends of the magnetic antenna as the reference signal input for the canceller, providing more comprehensive information related to motion-induced noise than the single-channel adaptive noise cancellation algorithm. Experimental results indicate that the MCNLMS algorithm demonstrates effective suppression of the motion-induced noise, achieving an average reduction of approximately 7 dB within the 160-170 Hz communication band. Additionally, it exhibits improved stability and faster convergence. © 2024 IEEE.

Lithology identification serves as a crucial foundation for the precise exploration and safe exploitation of geological resources. However, challenges arise from the inherent imbalance and overlap present in logging data, making the accurate identification of lithology a complex task. Addressing these challenges effectively, this paper introduces a novel algorithm, the Error Correcting Output Code algorithm based on Hierarchical Clustering(HC-ECOC). The proposed algorithm initially formulates a coding matrix using distance and overlap measures between class clusters. Subsequently, it extends the length of the coding matrix by considering both the accuracy of the integrated classifier and the diversity among base classifiers. To evaluate the efficacy of the proposed method, comparisons were conducted with alternative algorithms using UCI datasets and an authentic lithology dataset. The results unequivocally demonstrate the superior performance of our algorithm. © 2024 Technical Committee on Control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

This paper investigates the containment problem of continuous-time multi-agent systems with multiplicative noises,where the first-order and second-order multi-agent systems are studied *** on stochastic analysis tools,algebraic graph theory,and Lyapunov function method,the containment protocols based the relative states measurement with multiplicative noises are developed to guarantee the mean square and almost sure ***,the sufficient conditions and necessary conditions related to the control gains are derived for achieving mean square and almost sure *** is also shown that multiplicative noises may works positively for the almost sure containment of the first-order multi-agent *** examples are also introduced to illustrate the effectiveness of the theoretical results.

In recent years, micromanipulator with dual end-effectors called microhand has been widely used in industrial and biological fields. Whether the tip positions of the two end-effectors of the microhand can be accurately aligned seriously affects the precise grasping of the microhand. However, few researchers have presented practical ways for precisely aligning the tip positions of a 6-DOF microhand's two end- effectors. This paper proposes a novel, inexpensive, lightweight, robust, and easy-to-use microhand dual end-effectors clamping device that can precisely and quickly align the two end-effectors of a 6-DOF microhand. First, we describe the microhand dual end-effectors clamping device's lightweight structural design. After that, we simplify the microhand dual end-effectors clamping device model and create a mathematical model to determine the relationship between the end-effectors' tip position and the rotation angles of screw No.1, screw No.2, screw No.3 of the microhand dual end-effectors clamping device. Through experimentation, we are able to attain precise alignment of the two end-effectors tip positions of the 6-DOF microhand, so we confirm that our mathematical model is true. Finally, we use the impulse response of PZT in the microhand's lower module to confirm the stability of the microhand dual end- effectors clamping device. We believe that the proposed the microhand dual end-effectors clamping device has great potential in industrial and biological applications as a universal tool for precise alignment of the tip positions of the two end-effectors of a 6-DOF microhand. © 2024 IEEE.

Link prediction has achieved great success on ubiquitous graph-based applications, which usually contain multiple types of connections. The heterogeneity of networks introduces complexities in two aspects: representation of multiple types of links, and incorporation of domain knowledge. In this paper, we construct Markov logic network (MLN) to preserve he logical information of graphs for link prediction tasks. By using the graph neural network, we propose a novel inference method in MLNs to guarantee the scalability of link prediction. Experimental results on various datasets show that our proposed method outperforms the state-of-the-art competitors on precision and efficiency. © 2023 IEEE.

Spatial co-location pattern represents a subset of spatial features whose instances are frequently located together in space. Sub-prevalent co-location pattern mining discovers patterns with richer spatial relationships based on star instance model instead of clique instance model. Further, discovering spatiotemporal sub-prevalent co-location pattern is important to reveal the spatiotemporal interaction between spatial features and promote the application of patterns. However, the methods for mining spatiotemporal sub-prevalent co-location pattern measure the interestingness of patterns by the frequency of patterns in time slice set, and ignore the duration of patterns which is an important spatiotemproal information in patterns. Thus, this paper presents mining spatiotemporal sub-prevalent co-location pattern by considering the duration and the frequency of patterns. Specifically, a novel pattern, is proposed by defining the continuous sub-prevalent index. Then, an efficient algorithm is designed to mine the proposed patterns by utilizing the anti-monotonicity of continuous sub-prevalent index to prune unpromising patterns. Extensive experiments on synthetic and real datasets verify the practicability of the proposed patterns and the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Node classification is to predict the labels of the unlabeled nodes in a graph, which is useful for various applications of social network and biological information analysis. To measure the uncertainty of structural information, we propose the structural entropy theory based method for graph node classification. First, we calculate the structural entropy of different graph structures, since the smaller the structural entropy, the less the uncertainty of the structural relationship in the graph. Then, we use the minimal structural entropy to determine the uncertainty of graphical structures. Finally, the nodes with similar structural relationships in the graph are classified. Experimental results show that our method outperforms some state-of-the-art competitors. © 2023 IEEE.

Meta-path-based methods for measuring the similarities between nodes in Heterogeneous Information Networks (HINs) have attracted attention from researchers due to excellent performance. However, these methods suffer from some issues: (1) it is difficult for users to provide effective meta-paths of complex HINs;(2) it is inefficient to enumerate all instances of meta-paths. In order to solve the above issues, this paper proposes a novel method, K-order Neighbors based Heterogeneous Graph Neural Network (KN-HGNN), for measuring node similarity. Firstly, KN-HGNN generates meta-paths based on network schema. Then, KN-HGNN obtains the features of nodes by aggregating itself type feature and its k-order neighbors' type features under the constraints of meta-paths. Finally, KN-HGNN calculates the similarities between nodes based on the features of nodes. The experimental results on real datasets show that KN-HGNN outperforms the baselines. © 2023 The authors and IOS Press.
