A low cost control system with hierarchy architecture for sequencer is designed in this paper. A touch screen computer is used as master computer to realize Human Machine Interface (HMI). A programmable logic controller (PLC) works as slave computer to receive sequence ?le and instructions from the master computer. It controls the component arranging, component inspecting, and component taping processes. Manipulating microprocessors work as the slave computers of the PLC. They receive commands from the PLC and control the ampli?ers to drive the rotary electromagnets, which are used to cut off components. A sequence algorithm realized in the PLC is proposed to track the identi?cation (ID) numbers of pallets on the chain. The ID numbers of the pallets are recorded in the PLC at the beginning of sequence procedure, and shifted as long as the movement of the chain. All the ID numbers of the pallets are compared with the ID numbers of component feeders over them. A component is fed into the pallet if its feeder has the same ID number as the pallet. Experimental results verify the validity of the designed control system and the proposed sequence algorithm.

Personal high performance computer (PHPC) requires lower cost and high performance. The Teraflops PHPC systems with special accelerator units like GPGPU have been presented, but they have difficulties in programming, compatibility and applicability. In this paper, we present HPPPHPC, a hybrid architecture of heterogeneous processors connected by non-coherent off-chip system bus. The performance of HPP-PHPC is ensured by special processors integrated with vector units and high-efficiency interconnection between heterogeneous processors. And by the adoption of general processors and features like global physical address space and synchroniz ation semantics in hardware, HPP-PHPC is more compatible and convenient for massage passing and PGAS programming model. Also it is more applicable to most applications, including those with many execution branches. Initial results obtained from our prototype system have proved our design.

With two auxiliary lines drawn on the racket pad, the intersections of the auxiliary lines and the pad edge are selected as feature points. A simple pose measurement method is designed based on the feature points. A high efficient image-processing algorithm and a feature points extracting method are proposed according to the characteristics of the pad and the auxiliary lines. The racket pose in the camera frame is estimated via PnP positioning approach based on the intrinsic parameters of the camera, the image coordinates of the feature points and their Cartesian coordinates in the racket frame. The experimental results verify the effectiveness of the proposed methods.

In the era of web 2.0, everyone can create and update content, and everyone can host a personal web site with little effort, making it hard to gather valuable information from different web sites. With RSS, people can read information from different resources in a uniform way, and in a single tool, such as an RSS reader. However, most of the RSS readers only display items in chronological order, which doesn't work well when users are inundated with too many items in the feeds. We propose using recommendation to help people find items in an RSS reader. Specifically, we consider profiled based features (i.e., text similarity and favorite fraction), update frequency, as well as Post Rank values for RSS recommendation. Experimental results indicate that favorite fraction and update frequency perform better than text similarity. Additionally, we also study the effect of feature combination and find that the combination of similarity and favorite fraction performs the best.

This paper presents a bi-brachiate robot for the inspection tasks of the high voltage power transmission line (HVPTL). The robot adopts a turning around method to get across the component (obstacles for the robot) installed on the HVPTL, and the process of the obstacle negotiation is expressed in detail. A simplified two-link model of the robot during obstacle negotiating stage is given. The adaptive fuzzy system is employed to approximate the model's uncertain nonlinear functions, and the robot controller is given based on the approximation result. Simulation and field experiment results illustrate the validity of the proposed controller and effectiveness of the inspection robot.
