We can focus on the challenges posed by traditional registration algorithms and the limitations of U-Net-based architectures in capturing sufficient semantic information due to their shallow coding layers with small receptive fields. We want to explore how newer architectures or modifications to existing ones could address these limitations. Inspired by introduced deformable convolutional networks, we plan to fuse deformable convolution into our proposed network structure. Building on its success in 2D target detection, we apply deformable convolution to 3D image registration networks. The Deform U-Net proposed in this paper can compensate for the shortcomings of existing registration networks by obtaining more semantic information with unsupervised training without Introduction of additional features. We conducted evaluations on two publicly available human brain MRI, specifically LPBA40 and IBSR18. On the LPBA40 and ISBR18 datasets, the DSC reached 68.82, 62.30, respectively. The experimental results show that the Deform U-N et image registration method outperforms the VoxelMorph image registration method.

Balancing property optimization and constraint satisfaction for constrained multi-property molecular optimization

Molecular optimization, which aims to discover improved molecules from a vast chemical search space, is a critical step in chemical development. Various artificial intelligence technologies have demonstrated high effectiveness and efficiency on molecular optimization tasks. However, few of these technologies focus on balancing property optimization with constraint satisfaction, making it difficult to obtain high-quality molecules that not only possess desirable properties but also meet various constraints. To address this issue, we propose a constrained multi-property molecular optimization framework (CMOMO), which is a flexible and efficient method to simultaneously optimize multiple molecular properties while satisfying several druglike constraints. CMOMO improves multiple properties of molecules with constraints based on dynamic cooperative optimization, which dynamically handles the constraints across various scenarios. Besides, CMOMO evaluates multiple properties within discrete chemical spaces cooperatively with the evolution of molecules within an implicit molecular space to guide the evolutionary search. Experimental results show the superior performance of the proposed CMOMO over five state-of-the-art molecular optimization methods on two benchmark tasks of simultaneously optimizing multiple non-biological activity properties while satisfying two structural constraints. Furthermore, the practical applicability of CMOMO is verified on two practical tasks, where it identified a collection of candidate ligands of β2-adrenoceptor GPCR and candidate inhibitors of glycogen synthase kinase-3β with high properties and under drug-like constraints. Currently, the rapid popularity of social network platforms makes the real social relations in social networks face the potential risk of disclosure. Therefore, most users may refuse to provide their social relations for the purpose of privacy preservation, which is not conducive to the development of social networks. The negative survey is an emerging sensitive information collection method, which can collect sensitive information while preserving personal privacy. In this paper, based on negative survey, we propose an algorithm called NetNS to preserve the privacy of social relations, namely the topology privacy of social networks. The proposed NetNS is simple and efficient, which only randomly divides the nodes in social networks into different groups, and disturbs the topology of each group by a dedicated negative survey model. Experiments are carried out on three real networks of different sizes. The experimental results show that compared to three algorithms tailored for topology privacy of social networks, the proposed NetNS can against graph structure attack while realizing better utility of social networks. © 2022 IEEE.

The anonymity of blockchain may be exploited by criminals for illegal fund transfers, thus a conditional privacy-preserving scheme is important for blockchain regulation. Currently, sharding technology under a multi-chain architecture is used to improve blockchain scalability. However, current conditional privacy-preserving schemes cannot work on this architecture. To protect the privacy of the transaction, we present a conditional privacy-preserving transaction scheme (MC-CPPT) for multi-chain blockchain system. In this system, we proposed a zero-knowledge proof based anonymous transaction, in terms of the identities of transaction participants and amounts, which also enables the unlinkability of transactions and indistinguishability between cross-chain and intra-chain transactions in multi-chain blockchain system. In addition, a multi-node regulatory agency is introduced to control the transaction amount and frequency in the system without a single point of failure. Moreover, an ECC-based encryption scheme is proposed to achieve the traceability of suspicious transactions. A security model is defined and the security of MC-CPPT is demonstrated to meet the expected security goals. Evaluating the prototype revealed acceptable performance and additional security features. © 1968-2012 IEEE.

A Magnetoencephalography (MEG) time-series recording consists of multi-channel signals collected by superconducting sensors, with each signal's intensity reflecting magnetic field changes over time at the sensor location. Automating epileptic MEG spike detection significantly reduces manual assessment time and effort, yielding substantial clinical benefits. Existing research addresses MEG spike detection by encoding neural network inputs with signals from all channel within a time segment, followed by classification. However, these methods overlook simultaneous spiking occurred from nearby sensors. We introduce a simple yet effective paradigm that first clusters MEG channels based on their sensor's spatial position. Next, a novel convolutional input module is designed to integrate the spatial clustering and temporal changes of the signals. This module is fed into a custom MEEG-ResNet3D developed by the authors, which learns to extract relevant features and classify the input as a spike clip or not. Our method achieves an F1 score of 94.73% on a large real-world MEG dataset Sanbo-CMR collected from two centers, outperforming state-of-the-art approaches by 1.85%. Moreover, it demonstrates efficacy and stability in the Electroencephalographic (EEG) seizure detection task, yielding an improved weighted F1 score of 1.4% compared to current state-of-the-art techniques evaluated on TUSZ, whch is the largest EEG seizure dataset. © 2024 IEEE.

Cognitive diagnosis models (CDMs) with high generalization are essential for intelligent education systems to reveal students' knowledge states in multiple datasets. However, existing CDMs' architectures are designed dependent on researcher expertise and experience from observing and summarizing partial students' learning behaviors, which makes handcrafted models not cover all learning behaviors well and thus limits their generalization. To develop generalized CDMs, this paper proposes an evolutionary neural architecture search to design CDMs' architectures effective on multiple datasets automatically. Specifically, we first formulate the search task as a multi-objective optimization problem (MOP), which maximizes model performance on multiple datasets containing learning behaviors as many as possible to ensure model generalization. Then, an expressive search space is devised to contain as many potential architectures as possible, where each architecture is denoted by a unified form, taking three given inputs and integrating them in a linear or no-linear manner for prediction. Finally, an evolutionary algorithm with a tailored deduplication strategy is employed to solve the MOP, where each architecture is further represented by a single-root computation tree for easy optimization. Experiments on multiple datasets demonstrate the generalization and effectiveness of the best architecture searched by the proposed approach, and the searched architecture also holds as good interpretability as handcrafted architectures.

Anatomical landmark detection, a pivotal research area in medical image processing, holds immense value in surgical navigation, image registration, and related fields. Traditional machine learning methods struggle with generalization and robustness. Current supervised end-to-end approaches lacks in-terpretability in capturing global information, and GPU memory constraints restrict their application to extensive 3D medical image datasets. Moreover, existing methods overlook intrinsic geometric cues within images and point sets. Herein, we introduce a novel anatomical landmark detection framework that integrates deep learning's representation capabilities with global geometric information derived from images and point sets (DL2G). This approach facilitates anatomical landmark localization in a local-to-global fashion. Initially, we train a deep feature descriptor based on self-supervised contrastive learning, which is further used to screen candidate points for the target one by comparing local patch embeddings. Subsequently, geometric constraints constructed from labeled template point sets enable the selection of geometrically consistent matching point sets. Ultimately, the framework utilizes the global mutual information of images to perform landmark localization through iterative optimization. Adhering to the AFID data annotation protocol, we evaluated our method on two public MRI head datasets, OASIS and HCP, for detecting 32 anatomical landmarks. The results convincingly demonstrate the superiority of our method over current state-of-the-art approaches in terms of both accuracy and computational efficiency. © 2024 IEEE.

SSFam: Scribble Supervised Salient Object Detection Family

Scribble supervised salient object detection (SSSOD) constructs segmentation ability of attractive objects from surroundings under the supervision of sparse scribble labels. For the better segmentation, depth and thermal infrared modalities serve as the supplement to RGB images in the complex scenes. Existing methods specifically design various feature extraction and multi-modal fusion strategies for RGB, RGB-Depth, RGB-Thermal, and Visual-Depth-Thermal image input respectively, leading to similar model flood. As the recently proposed Segment Anything Model (SAM) possesses extraordinary segmentation and prompt interactive capability, we propose an SSSOD family based on SAM, named SSFam, for the combination input with different modalities. Firstly, different modal-aware modulators are designed to attain modal-specific knowledge which cooperates with modal-agnostic information extracted from the frozen SAM encoder for the better feature ensemble. Secondly, a siamese decoder is tailored to bridge the gap between the training with scribble prompt and the testing with no prompt for the stronger decoding ability. Our model demonstrates the remarkable performance among combinations of different modalities and refreshes the highest level of scribble supervised methods and comes close to the ones of fully supervised methods. https://***/liuzywen/SSFam Copyright © 2024, The Authors.
