Human skeleton-based action recognition has long been an indispensable aspect of artificial intelligence. Current state-of-the-art methods tend to consider only the dependencies between connected skeletal joints, limiting their ability to capture non-linear dependencies between physically distant joints. Moreover, most existing approaches distinguish action classes by estimating the probability density of motion representations, yet the high-dimensional nature of human motions invokes inherent difficulties in accomplishing such measurements. In this paper, we seek to tackle these challenges from two directions: (1) We propose a novel dependency refinement approach that explicitly models dependencies between any pair of joints, effectively transcending the limitations imposed by joint distance. (2) We further propose a framework that utilizes the Hilbert-Schmidt Independence Criterion to differentiate action classes without being affected by data dimensionality, and mathematically derive learning objectives guaranteeing precise recognition. Empirically, our approach sets the state-of-the-art performance on NTU RGB+D, NTU RGB+D 120, and Northwestern-UCLA datasets. Short text classification, as a research subtopic in natural language processing, is more challenging due to its semantic sparsity and insufficient labeled samples in practical scenarios. We propose a novel model named MI-DELIGHT for short text classification in this work. Specifically, it first performs multi-source information (i.e., statistical information, linguistic information, and factual information) exploration to alleviate the sparsity issues. Then, the graph learning approach is adopted to learn the representation of short texts, which are presented in graph forms. Moreover, we introduce a dual-level (i.e., instance-level and cluster-level) contrastive learning auxiliary task to effectively capture different-grained contrastive information within massive unlabeled data. Meanwhile, previous models merely perform the main task and auxiliary tasks in parallel, without considering the relationship among tasks. Therefore, we introduce a hierarchical architecture to explicitly model the correlations between tasks. We conduct extensive experiments across various benchmark datasets, demonstrating that MI-DELIGHT significantly surpasses previous competitive models. Testing Non-Commutativity of Reduce Functions with Multi-Column Inputs

With the continuous development of the MapReduce programming model, it is necessary to ensure the reliability of MapReduce programs. In practice, the non-commutativity of Reduce functions seriously affects the reliability of the MapReduce program, which is difficult to debug and even causes errors. Current researches on the non-commutability detection of Reduce function consider the case that the input value is a single attribute. However, such researches ignore the situation where inputs to most reduce functions in practical applications consist of multiple columns (such as a table). To test the commutativity of reduce functions where each input record may contain several input attributes, a new testing method is proposed. This approach uses symbolic execution tools to help generate a few input records, and breaks their data dependencies to generate an original test case t0, with a dynamic program slicing technique to lessen the scale of t0. And the ultimate test suite is consisted of different permutations of records in t0. In the end, experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of our testing method and that the permutation method Gm is helpful to reduce its complexity. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

With the complexity of the functions of modern buildings, the problem of vertical traffic in buildings is becoming more and more prominent. As the only vertical transportation, the elevator is a necessary prerequisite for the development of modern buildings to solve its group control distribution problem. In this paper, a vertical traffic scheduling control method is proposed based on dual fuzzy neural network, a recognition strategy is designed to identify the passenger flow models. The dual fuzzy neural network is used to first identify the traffic network model in which the elevator is located, and then combine the corresponding weights and the confidence of the group control allocation to complete the group control scheduling. Finally, the proposed method is verified through a semi-physical simulation platform, proving the correctness and effectivness for traffic pattern recognition and scheduling strategy optimization of group controllers.

With the implementation of the "Internet+" strategy, electronic medical records are generally applied in the medical field. Deep mining of electronic medical record content data is an effective means to obtain medical knowledge and analyse patients’ states, but the existing methods for extracting entities from electronic medical records have problems of redundant information, overlapping entities, and low accuracy rates. Therefore, this paper proposes an entity extraction method for electronic medical records based on the network framework of BERT-BiLSTM, which incorporates a multichannel self-attention mechanism and location relationship features. First, the text input sequence was encoded using the BERT-BiLSTM network framework, and the global semantic information of the sentence was mined more deeply using the multichannel self-attention mechanism. Then, the position relation characteristic was used to extract the local semantic message of the text, and the position relation characteristic of the word and the position embedding matrix of the whole sentence were obtained. Next, the extracted global semantic information was stitched with the positional embedding matrix of the sentence to obtain the current entity classification matrix. Finally, the proposed method was validated on the dataset of Chinese medical text entity relationship extraction and the 2010i2b2/VA relationship corpus, and the experimental results indicate that the proposed method surpasses existing methods in terms of precision, recall, F1 value and training time. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

The accurate automatic recognition of cell locations is of great significance for downstream tasks in pathology. Due to the various size and distribution of different cell types, previous cell detection methods applied fixed circles as labels to localize cell position by default, which makes less precise and more difficult to adapt various cell morphology. In this paper, we integrate adaptive areas of interests based on morphology to address the limitation in detecting cells with irregular shapes in pathological images. Moreover, a EGSI module is proposed to extract global distribution of cells in slices, which enables model to acquire more rich semantic information. We exhibit favorable F 1 score of our method on four public datasets. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method could detect cells more accurately in those images with different cell morphologies and dense cell distribution.

In computer image processing, optical flow is a classic task used to track the motion of pixels. In the field of robotics, methods like SLAM extensively employ sparse optical flow as a substitute for time-consuming feature point matching methods, enabling rapid and stable camera tracking. However, the widespread use of fisheye cameras introduces distortion issues in practical applications. Traditional sparse optical flow struggles to accurately track pixel positions in such scenarios, affecting the precision of camera pose tracking. Therefore, we introduce a sparse optical flow method designed for fisheye camera models, which correctly utilizes prior information obtained during camera tracking to enhance the accuracy of sparse optical flow. Finally, we propose a scheme for constructing a semi-distortion lookup table to accelerate distortion operations and reduce memory requirements. We conducted extensive testing on simulated datasets with various camera motion scenarios, and the experimental results demonstrate that our method outperforms OpenCV in terms of accuracy and versatility.

Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)-assisted mobile edge computing (MEC) and data collection (DC) have been popular research issues. Different from existing works that consider MEC and DC scenarios separately, this paper investigates a multi-UAV-assisted joint MEC-DC system. Specifically, we formulate a joint optimization problem to minimize the MEC latency and maximize the collected data volume. This problem can be classified as a non-convex mixed integer programming problem that exhibits long-term optimization and dynamics. Thus, we propose a deep reinforcement learning-based approach that jointly optimizes the UAV movement, user transmit power, and user association in real time to solve the problem efficiently. Specifically, we reformulate the optimization problem into an action space-reduced Markov decision process (MDP) and optimize the user association by using a two-phase matching-based association (TMA) strategy. Subsequently, we propose a soft actor-critic (SAC)-based approach that integrates the proposed TMA strategy (SAC-TMA) to solve the formulated joint optimization problem collaboratively. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed SAC-TMA is able to coordinate the two subsystems and can effectively reduce the system latency and improve the data collection volume compared with other benchmark algorithms. © 2025 IEEE.
